NATS Gandhi Jayanthi 5K Run

Dallas, October 5,2015: NATS (North America Telugu Society) Dallas chapter successfully organized 5K Run on Oct 4th, 2015 on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi at Campion Trail Park, Irving, TX.

Over 250 people participated from all over DFW metro in the race and enjoyed throughout the event. This is a special event that has been conducted by NATS and involved families with their kids.

NATS planned for 5K Run/walk and 1K FUN walk in professional way by providing individual identification race numbers and timing chips which tracks distance and the total time. 5K finishers received finisher medal and also top 3 finishers are awarded with medals for both male and female. Also, conducted food drive for “salvation army”, all collected food was donated to “Salvation Army” in Dallas. All the proceedings from this event will go to NATS Helpline.

The tournament was highly commended by all the participants and also recognized NATS commitment towards the community events and services. All the participants thanked NATS Dallas chapter committee members and volunteers for their efforts in successfully organizing this event. NATS also promised that they would conduct 5K race along with food drive on other NATS chapters in USA.

This event was sponsored by My SAP Group, Clifton School, Southfork Dental, Hot Breads, Bawarchi Biryani Point, and Ram Konara real estate . Sponsors talked about the event and congratulated Top 3 finishers from each age group and awarded medals and also thanks to the media for covering this event.

NATS Board of Directors (Srinivas Koneru, Vijay Velamuri) and National Committee (Bapu Nuthi, Rajendra Madala) attended the event to congratulate the participants and NATS Dallas chapter for making this event such a grand success.

Srinivas Koneru, Rajendra Madala, Vijay Velamuri, Bapu Nuthi, Chaitanya Kancharla, Surendra Dhulipalla, Venkat Kolli, Ajay Govada, Bhanu Lanka, Kishore Veegagandham, Rama Krishna Nimmagadda, Rama Krishna Marneni, Uma Atluri, Vijay Shekar Anne, Amar Anne, Adi Gelli, Raja Maganti, Sreedhar Vinnamuri and other NATS Dallas Chapter Committee members worked tireless number of hours in successfully organizing this tournament. NATS has introduced and encouraged high school students for volunteering, thanks a lot for their support as well.
