Fissures in BJP state wing

The bifurcation issue has had its ill effects on the state political parties, but BJP is the only party that is not affected, because of its poor presence in Seemandhra region. So, it remains intact even after Samaikyandhra stir kicks momentum in the region.   But, fissures start appear, when Sushma Swaraj has announced party’s unconditional support to Telangana, during her recent meeting held at Mehboob Nagar. Then, sparks ignites in Seemandhra region after seeing BJP leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy and others keep mum, while KCR is abusing Seemandhra people like anything during Saklalajana Bheri meeting held at Hyderabad recently. Though, the Seemandhra BJP leaders are not objecting to their party stand taken in favor Telangana creation, they hurt with these two incidents.   Hence, some BJP leaders from Seemandhra region lands at New Delhi and complained against their counterparts in Telangana and Sushma Swaraj’s announcement. They insisted the high command not to support the T-bill in parliament without considering the issues raised by them.   Knowing about these developments, the T-leaders of the party are also planning to visit New Delhi to insist the high command not to change its stand succumbing to pressures from their counterparts in Seemandhra.   Now, BJP is also facing the same situation of other parties in the state. As a result, differences between state party leaders like M.Venakaih Naidu, Vidya Sagar rao, Kishan Reddy also crops-up over bifurcation issue. That is why it’s T-leader Vidya Sagar rao is seen condemning the reports about differences between them.

Split in Seemandhra ministers

The state Congress party, which already splits into two groups as Seemandhra and Telangana groups, now appears to be heading for one more split within Seemandhra group. Today, some ministers, who are crossing swords with CM Kiran Kumar Reddy from the beginning and some others who are upset to see him stealing the show of Samaikyandhra with his arguments against high command, have met in finance minister Anam Rami Narayana Reddy’s residence. To begin with, PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana, Vatti Vasantha Kumar, Chiranjeevi, C. Ramachandraiah, Raghuveeraa Reddy, Anam brothers and Bala Raju have participated in this meeting. Later, Botsa Satyanarayana left for New Delhi to meet party state political in-charge Digvijay Singh and Antony Committee, probably to report about the outcome of their meeting, besides reporting about other issues. Later, Anam Raminarayana Reddy speaking to the media has said “This is not a meeting against CM Kiran Kumar Reddy or to oppose his views on bifurcation. We met here to discuss the prevailing situation in the state. It is not correct to say that CWC decision was made without consulting anyone. We are aware that everyone concerned with this issue has been consulted before taking this decision. So, it is our responsibility to accept CWC decision.” “We have asked Chiranjeevi to stress the high command to send the Antony Committee for a state visit to pacify the people, who have been agitating for Samaikyandhra for the last two months. Telangana people are also very much worried with the delay taking place in starting the bifurcation process, the way Seemandhra are people having fears about bifurcation. So, we believe that problems can be sorted out only with discussions between two sides,” said Anam. Hence this is an unexpected twist in Seemandhra camp. Whoever, attends this meeting have expressed their full support to party high command and willing to abide by its decision, thus presenting themselves as the alternative choice for replacing CM Kiran Kumar Reddy, who is opposing high command’s decision. This meeting also makes it clear that though all these ministers are speaking in favor of Samaikyandhra, actually they have no objections for dividing the state. Probably, this development may ease some pressure on the high command. It may now have a choice to replace CM Kiran Kumar Reddy with some loyal person from this group of ministers, without destabilizing its own government. Will he be Chiranjeevi? Botsa Satyanarayana or Anam Raminarayana Reddy?

Is Kapu community drifting towards TDP

The Congress high command’s firmness on dividing the state leaves many of its Seemandhra leaders disgruntled. Especially, the strong Kapu community leaders, who have been ignored by the party all these years, believe that if they stick to Congress party any further, they are also going sink along with it in the forthcoming elections.   East, West Godavari, North Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema are the strong holds of the Kapu community. The leaders from these regions are now ready to leave the party as they feel humiliated by the Congress high command. Many of them are quite unhappy for not taking them into consideration while deciding on bifurcation.   Congress MP Bandaru Satyanand, who was elected as MLA for thrice from Kottapeta in EG District, is quite disappointed for not getting minister post. He is likely to join TDP. Chiranjeevi’s one time close aide and Minister Ganta Srinivasa rao is also planning to return to TDP fold. Kimidi Venkat Rao, who joins PRP has returned to TDP few months ago.   Congress MLA Eeli Nani’s parents E.Veeranjaneyulu and Eeli Vara Lakshi are with TDP. Now, Nani also plans to join TDP. Several powerful and senior leaders like Kottu Satyanarayana, Thota Trimurthulu, Narasapuram MLA Kottapalli Subbarayudu and some others are keen to join TDP as they believe that they could easily accustom to it. Vanga Geeta, who begins her political career in TDP, but later has shifted to PRP and then becomes Congress member is also planning to return to party fold.   Since, the high command is firm on its decision and keen to join hands with YSRCP, many of Seemandhra Congress leaders strongly believing that these two factors(bifurcation and alliance with YSRCP) are going to wipe-off the Congress party from the region. Hence, the other community leaders are also likely to detach themselves from Congress party soon. Hence, a major migration from Congress party may start soon, probably soon after the T-Note returns from Assembly.

Are the APNGOs to fall prey to Congress and YSRCP

The AP NGOs, who have been maintain an equal distance with all political parties until now, seems to be facing extreme pressures from YSR Congress party, which is demanding them to accept its leadership in continuing their fight for Samaikyandhra. YSRCP honorary president Vijayamma, who has been invited to participate in a dharna staged by Seemandhra employees of secretariat at Jantar Mantar, Delhi yesterday has grabbed the opportunity to educate them to accept her party leadership and to keep her rival parties TDP and Congress parties at bay. Though she was invited to express her solidarity to the NGOs dharna, she misuses this opportunity to thrash her rival parties.   At the same time Jagan Mohan Reddy is also leaving no stone unturned to crack the employees’ unions to make them fall in line with his party, so that he can have edge over his rivals in the region. If, everything goes as per Congress-YSRCP game plan, he is going to split the AP NGOs first, with which their two-month long strike will come to an end abruptly. Then he will topple Kiran Reddy government for imposing President’s Rule on the state thus clearing way for bifurcation.   Already he is able to create some dilemma among the APNGO leaders and their associations by attracting Seemandhra employees of secretariat and with his mother Vijayamma’s participation in their dharna. According to reports, there is difference of opinions between the NGOs leaders over accepting his party support. This is what exactly the Congress and Jagan have planned for. Hope the NGOs will take a wise decision.
