Why CBN chooses Delhi for his hunger strike

Chandrababu Naidu is going to sit for an indefinite hunger strike from Monday at New Delhi demanding justice to Seemandhra region. Soon after the cabinet approved the T-Note, Chandrababu has asked the Center to address all the issues first, before going ahead with its bifurcation plan. He appealed the Center to react on his request within 24 hours, but Congress reacting in its own style has condemned his and Jagan Mohan Reddy’s arguments. Digvijay said that they have consulted all the concerned before coming to this conclusion.   Hence, Chandrababu will be sitting for indefinite hunger strike at New Delhi on Monday onwards. He said the time has come to disclose the Congress intentions behind its decision of dividing the state. Hence he chooses New Delhi as platform for his hunger strike so that he could spread the message to entire nation on how the Congress party is playing foul game in the state.   He proved himself very wise by choosing New Delhi as platform for his hunger strike. With this he could easily draw the attention of all the national parties and the national media attention as well, which may help him to build pressure on the Center. It may also make the Seemandhra people realize that TDP is always there for them at their worse time.   At the same time, his hunger strike to protect the rights of Seemandhra may create a negative impression that he is opposing Telangana state formation. Already, his rivals especially TRS is trying to project his strike as anti-telangana-fight. TDP Telangana Forum convener Errabelli Dayakar rao has said there is nothing wrong in Chandrababu’s move as he is just demanding justice to Seemandhra region. He said he also would like to join his fight.

Did Botsa encourage the party to move T-bill?

Even while the Seemandhra region is boiling, the ministers in Kiran Kumar Reddy cabinet are seriously lobbying to occupy his chair, as high command is not happy with him at all. The front runners in this dirty race are none other than PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana and Finance minister Anam Rama Narayana Reddy. During a recent meeting held at Ministers quarters all the ministers, who dislike CM Kiran Kumar Reddy for one reason or the other have decided to abide by the party high command decision of dividing the state. Hence, Botsa has rushed to New Delhi to assure the high command that their group is ready to ensure smooth passage of the T-bill, on a pre-condition that it should replace Kiran with either of them. According to reports, then only the high command quickly moved the table note on Telangana and got it approved in the cabinet meeting. However, when Anam sniffed something fishy about Botsa’s attitude, he simply took a ‘U’ turn and jumped into CM Kiran’s camp, whom he criticized just a day before. Now, with Anam joining the CM-led rebel group, line is cleared for Botsa Satyanarayana to succeed CM Kiran Kumar Reddy. Even Samaikyandhra activists also strongly believe that Botsa is the one, who encouraged the Congress high command to move the T-note to Cabinet without any further delay, whereas it is actually supposed to be submitted two weeks later. Perhaps, that is why they vent their anger by attacking his residence and camp office in Vizianagaram since today morning.

Fissures in BJP state wing

The bifurcation issue has had its ill effects on the state political parties, but BJP is the only party that is not affected, because of its poor presence in Seemandhra region. So, it remains intact even after Samaikyandhra stir kicks momentum in the region.   But, fissures start appear, when Sushma Swaraj has announced party’s unconditional support to Telangana, during her recent meeting held at Mehboob Nagar. Then, sparks ignites in Seemandhra region after seeing BJP leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy and others keep mum, while KCR is abusing Seemandhra people like anything during Saklalajana Bheri meeting held at Hyderabad recently. Though, the Seemandhra BJP leaders are not objecting to their party stand taken in favor Telangana creation, they hurt with these two incidents.   Hence, some BJP leaders from Seemandhra region lands at New Delhi and complained against their counterparts in Telangana and Sushma Swaraj’s announcement. They insisted the high command not to support the T-bill in parliament without considering the issues raised by them.   Knowing about these developments, the T-leaders of the party are also planning to visit New Delhi to insist the high command not to change its stand succumbing to pressures from their counterparts in Seemandhra.   Now, BJP is also facing the same situation of other parties in the state. As a result, differences between state party leaders like M.Venakaih Naidu, Vidya Sagar rao, Kishan Reddy also crops-up over bifurcation issue. That is why it’s T-leader Vidya Sagar rao is seen condemning the reports about differences between them.

Split in Seemandhra ministers

The state Congress party, which already splits into two groups as Seemandhra and Telangana groups, now appears to be heading for one more split within Seemandhra group. Today, some ministers, who are crossing swords with CM Kiran Kumar Reddy from the beginning and some others who are upset to see him stealing the show of Samaikyandhra with his arguments against high command, have met in finance minister Anam Rami Narayana Reddy’s residence. To begin with, PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana, Vatti Vasantha Kumar, Chiranjeevi, C. Ramachandraiah, Raghuveeraa Reddy, Anam brothers and Bala Raju have participated in this meeting. Later, Botsa Satyanarayana left for New Delhi to meet party state political in-charge Digvijay Singh and Antony Committee, probably to report about the outcome of their meeting, besides reporting about other issues. Later, Anam Raminarayana Reddy speaking to the media has said “This is not a meeting against CM Kiran Kumar Reddy or to oppose his views on bifurcation. We met here to discuss the prevailing situation in the state. It is not correct to say that CWC decision was made without consulting anyone. We are aware that everyone concerned with this issue has been consulted before taking this decision. So, it is our responsibility to accept CWC decision.” “We have asked Chiranjeevi to stress the high command to send the Antony Committee for a state visit to pacify the people, who have been agitating for Samaikyandhra for the last two months. Telangana people are also very much worried with the delay taking place in starting the bifurcation process, the way Seemandhra are people having fears about bifurcation. So, we believe that problems can be sorted out only with discussions between two sides,” said Anam. Hence this is an unexpected twist in Seemandhra camp. Whoever, attends this meeting have expressed their full support to party high command and willing to abide by its decision, thus presenting themselves as the alternative choice for replacing CM Kiran Kumar Reddy, who is opposing high command’s decision. This meeting also makes it clear that though all these ministers are speaking in favor of Samaikyandhra, actually they have no objections for dividing the state. Probably, this development may ease some pressure on the high command. It may now have a choice to replace CM Kiran Kumar Reddy with some loyal person from this group of ministers, without destabilizing its own government. Will he be Chiranjeevi? Botsa Satyanarayana or Anam Raminarayana Reddy?
