The six time winner Congress MP Sai Prathap might take a ride on cycle during next elections. He has resigned to his MP post twice protesting bifurcation of the state, but it was not approved yet. Though, he was brought into politics by late YSR, his sudden death altered his fate, otherwise he would have become Union Minister by now.
However, still he glued to Congress party. But, his refusal to dig upon Jagan Mohan Reddy and his party makes the Congress suspect his loyalty. So, he was not given any post all these years. The bifurcation issue has given him a reason to quit the party. Though, he first shown interest to join YSR Congress, it was too late because his Rajampeta constituency ticket has been promised to Midhun Reddy.
But, TDP local leaders saw these developments as a great opportunity and suggest their party high command to invite him into party, since there is no strong candidate for the party after TDP MP Ramesh Reddy has jumped into Congress party. However, followers of DA Srinivas are insisting the party to allocate Rajampeta ticket to their leader. But, if Sai Prathap is keen to join TDP, he may be allotted ticket because of his strong contacts in the district and influence on the people.
