IM terrorist Tabrez sent to judicial custody

  Akthar alias Tabrez, one of the two main accused in Dilshukh Nagar twin bombs blasts case, who was nabbed by the NIA sleuths along with another terrorist Yasin Bhatkal recently at Indo-Nepal boarder, has been produced before Nampalli Court yesterday. Replying to a question by prosecution, he said he is aware why he was detained. He said his father is providing legal assistance to him. Earlier, during NIA interrogation, he is reportedly admitted his role in the twin bomb blasts case. The court has sent him to judicial custody till October 17th. He was immediately shifted to Charlapalli Jail amid tight security. NIA has moved a petition in the court seeking ten day custody of the terrorist for further interrogation in connection with Dilshukh Nagar twin bombs blast case.

Are Seemandhra MPS really going to quit

  Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde virtually gave a big shock to Seemandhra leaders, who until now been assured by their high command that it will not go ahead with bifurcation process without addressing their apprehensions and issues raised by them.   However, today Shinde has announced that T-Note is ready on his table long time ago, but he could not go through it as he is not coming to office since last one week due to ill health. He said he will complete his part of work and get it ready for submitting in the Cabinet meeting.   Seemandhra MPs are quite angry for being kept in dark all these days. So, they threaten to resign to their posts, the next moment Home Minister forward the T-Note to Cabinet meeting. Lagadapati Rajagopal, Anantha Venkata Ramireddy, Sai Prathap, Undavalli have took the appointment of Speaker for 24th of this month to submit their resignations.   However the question is shall they disobey their high command? Can their high command afford to lose them that collapse the government? Let us see what they will cook for tomorrow.

Congress leaders meeting ends with stand-off

  As predicted, the meeting between Seemandhra and Telangana Congress leaders concludes without any agreement on bifurcation. Leaders representing Telangana region have insisted their counterparts to obey the CWC decision and to co-operate for creating Telangana state formation.   Seemandhra leaders, who stick to their Samaikyandhra stand, have argued that people of both regions can prosper only by remaining united. They offered to review and rectify the mistakes taken place in implementing Gentlemen Agreement and other agreement made after formation of AP state.   However, T-leaders have said it is too late to talk about those violated agreements. They said if the Seemandhra leaders are willing to co-operate for Telangana state formation, they can proceed ahead with their talks.   Seemandhra leaders also argued in the same lines asking to agree for Samaikyandhra. Hence, the meeting concludes with a stand-off on bifurcation. However, they have unanimously agreed to defend their party Chief Sonia Gandhi from their rival party attacks.   Ganta Srinivasa rao, Erasu Pratap Reddy, MLC Rudraraju Padma Raju, Jana Reddy, Sridhar babu, Basavaraju Saraiah and some others attend this meeting held at Ministers’ quarters, Hyderabad.

Dinesh Reddy welcomes CBI inquiry

  In wake of CBI inquiry initiated against his disproportionate assets, following the Supreme Court’s orders, DGP Dinesh Reddy holds press meet today to clear the air. He stated that he is not worried about CBI inquiry because he doesn’t have any disproportionate assets. He said he will come clean in the CBI inquiry. “Even before, I assume this post several complaints have been lodged against me with Home Ministry to stop my appointment. Then, a case was filed in Supreme Court against me by an officer for finding fault with him forgery case. Out of the 542 sale deeds that he mentioned in his petition filed against me, I am involved in only one sale agreement of 7 acres of land,” said Dinesh Reddy. If, he is confident of his clean record, then the CBI inquiry into his assets will be really helpful to him, if it gives him a clean chit. However, if he was found fault by CBI, then it will the beginning of his downfall.

Is BJP to ready for a patch-up with Yeddi

  Karnataka former CM Yeddyurappa, who was forced to step down on corrupt charges also quits BJP and takes upon it in the recent Assembly elections. Though, he couldn’t win the elections he has played spoilsport against BJP. Later he regrets for coming out of BJP and hence has been desperately trying for a patch-up. He is leaving no chance to come close to it. But, his tainted political background scares BJP and keeps it away from him until now. Especially senior BJP leader LK Advani opposes his readmission into party.   However, it doesn’t stop him from trying to return to party fold. Then he changed his game plan and chooses Narendra Modi, who is named for the Prime Ministerial candidate of the party. He believes that if he can woo Modi, no one including Advani can stop his reentry into party. Yeddurappa showers praises on Modi and hints that his party supports him as PM of the country. He also states that his party is willing for poll alliance with BJP, which will be helpful to both.   It is learnt that though he is able to cut into ice, BJP do not wants to jump for him with assembly elections for the five states are round the corner. It fears any move in his favor would provide a weapon to its rivals. However, its silence is also considered to be a kind of positive response.   Despite his tainted political back ground, BJP couldn’t afford to maintain enmity with him because of the strong support powerful Lingayat community that he enjoys. Hence, BJP may make a move for a patch-up with the tainted just before the 2014 general elections, as it badly needs maximum number of MP seats to claim power at Center.

Seemandhra and T-Congress meeting in progress

  A meeting between Congress ministers of both regions begins short while ago at Ministers’ quarters in Hyderabad. Ganta Srinivasa rao and Erasu Prathap Reddy from Seemandhra and K.Jana Reddy and few others from Telangana have come to attend this meeting.   The meeting is intended to develop consensus between leaders of both regions and then to chalk out the issues between Seemandhra and Telangana regions aroused of bifurcation decision. If, they could make any progress in their talks, definitely it is going to help the Congress party, rather than the people of the state. But, the rigid stand taken by leaders of both sides may not give enough scope for proceeding ahead with negotiations.   Moreover, none of them can give any assurance to the other on any issue because they don’t have backing of the people. The delay taking place in bifurcation process and the Congress high command gradual turn around on its announcement makes Telangana people fume on the Congress leaders. At the same time, Seemandhra Ministers reluctance to step down from their posts and Congress party’s determination to divide the state, makes Seemandhra people fume on the Congress leaders. Hence, the leaders who sat for meeting now with their counterparts may not afford to compromise on any issue related to bifurcation of the state.   So, the meeting may ends up without any significant developments. At the most they may unanimously agree to meet again soon.

AP HC recalls order

In a first ever in history, AP HC recalls its order staying compensation to Muslim youth wrongly accused in 2007 Mecca masjd blast case. The bench has now decide to make the beneficiaries as respondents in the case and given them 2 weeks notice after high a fresh order may be expected.

Demand for T-MPs, Ministers’ resignation

  So far, Samaikyandhra activists have been demanding the Seemandhra MPs and Ministers to quit their posts in wake of Home Minister Shinde’s statement about his readiness to submit T-Note in the Cabinet meeting. However, including CM Kiran Kumar Reddy, Veerappa Moily and the Seemandhra MPs and Ministers have been assuring the people that T-Note will not be submitted to Cabinet in the near future. As if acknowledging their assurances the cabinet meeting has been cancelled for some other reasons.   Therefore, now the ball falls in the T-Congress leaders’ court. So far, they have been boasting that because of their efforts, Center has declared Telangana formation. But, the TRS and T-JAC leaders, who become impatient with the delay taking place in bifurcation process, now asking them what they are doing to speed-up the process. Former minister Komati Reddy Venkata Reddy has demanded for their resignations.   He said if the T-Note is not submitted in the Cabinet meeting, then they should immediately step down from their posts, otherwise he will ask the T-people to stage dharnas in front of their houses. He demands the T-leaders to stress the UPA government for speed-up the bifurcation process before it succumbs to Seemandhra leaders’ pressures.

Police boss under CBI radar

  In compliance to Supreme Court order CBI has registered preliminary enquiry into allegations of possession of disproportionate assets by AP DGP Dinesh Reddy. The Supreme Court on September 6 ordered a CBI probe against the Director-General of Police, V. Dinesh Reddy, on the allegations of acquiring disproportionate assets in his name and in the names of his family members. A Bench of justices B.S. Chauhan and S.A. Bobde said, "The CBI shall submit the status report to this court within four months.” The  Bench pointed out that the State took the courage to flout the order of the Central Government and did not look into the contents of the complaint and misdirected the enquiry against Umesh Kumar who was appellant. While there have been allegations doing rounds in power circuits of the state About the preferential treatment being given to Dinesh Reddy, this CBI enquiry comes as a jolt to police boss. Sources close to headquarters say that DGP has been trying hard to pull strings seeking extension. After recent controversy involving DGP over his visit to Goldman Habib Mujtaba Al Aydaroos Baba cases were registered against media houses.

Jagan’s bail case adjourned to 23rd

  The arguments on Jagan Mohan Reddy’s bail petition were over and the court adjourns the case to 23rd of this month. In wake of the change in political situation in the state, there were several speculations on his bail petition.   While, YSRCP has been arguing that TDP is lobbying at Delhi to influence the Center from granting bail to Jagan Mohan Reddy, TDP alleges that YSRCP has had a secret pact with Congress party, so his release from jail is just a matter of time. So, some curiosity developed in the people on how CBI is going to react to his bail petition.   However, as usually CBI has argued that Jagan shouldn’t be granted bail now as its investigation reached a crucial point. It argues that Jagan is most influential person and if he is released he is going to influence the investigation. It argues that Supreme Court has not recommends for his bail, but suggested him that he can approach the trial court for bail after four months. So, it is not mandatory for the trial court to grant bail to him, argued CBI lawyers. The court adjourns the case to 23rd of this month.

We don’t need YSRCP Bonus: Ashok Babu

  YSRCP honorary president Vijayamma has offered wages for the strike period and also bonus to AP NGOs, if her party is elected to power.   Responding on her offer, AP NGO unions’ president P.Ashok babu said “We don’t understand how you are offering bonus to us, while you are demanding for equal justice both regions. In such case you have to pay bonus to our Telangana colleagues also. We are fighting for Samaikyandhra and not for equal justice. So, we don’t need your bonus.”

Will Geeta Reddy resign?

  Two chargesheets filed by CBI in Jagan Mohan Reddy illegal assets case. Fresh chargesheets name Geeta Reddy along with former ministers Sabita Indira Reddy and Dharmana Prasada Rao. These chargesheets concern land allotment of Lepakshi knowledge hub and investments in return for the land for Indu Projects. It was seen that  Sabita Indira Reddy and Dharmana Prasada Rao had to quit from their cabinet posts after their names figured in chargesheets. With Geeta Reddy's name listed as accused in chargesheet filed by CBI the buzz in  state political circles is that same fate would be meted out to Geeta Reddy who is currently handling home portfolio apart form industries in state cabinet. sources highly placed in CBI say that this is the last chargesheet in Jagan Mohan Reddy case. With these chargesheets a total ten chargesheets have been filed. While sources within Congress are surprised as to how  IT minister Ponnala Lakshmiah and Kanna Lakshminarayana names have not figured in these chargesheets even as they were questioned by CBI were under the radar for sometime now.

CBI Vs. Jagan Mohan Reddy: bail round

  CBI will file a counter to Jagan Mohan Reddys bail petition on September 18. The Kadapa MP had on september 11 moved the special CBI court seeking bail on the ground that the four-month deadline set by the Supreme Court for completion of investigation by the CBI into the case against him ended on September 9.In the bail plea, filed through his counsel, Jagan said that in view of the ongoing agitation in coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions regarding bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, there was a need for him to be with the people and lead the stir as a leader of a political party.    CBI has been opposing Kadapa MP's bail on the pretext that he will tamper with evidence using his "muscle power and money power."    However with Congress in a political doldrums in state post CWC decision on state bifurcation political class has been hinting at possible talks of deals between Congress and YSRCP. While Jagan's bail being a contentious part of the deal. With the allegations of CBI playing at the tunes of Congress, It is now to wait and watch as to what would be CBI's strategy while filing the counter to Jagan's bail.

Are the RTC Employees going to end the strike

  Negotiations between RTC employees and Transport Minister Botsa Satyanarayana are currently taking place at Hyderabad. During their previous meeting with the Minister, they told him that they are ready to discontinue the strike, if the government is ready to merge the RTC into it as one of its department. Then the minister asks for time to think about their proposal. Hence, today’s meeting is very significant.   However, since the state is ready for division, Botsa may not be able assure them for their demand. But, the month long strike weakens the financial position of the RTC employees. The High Court warnings to NGOs may also have its influence on the RTC employees to compromise with the government and withdraw from strike. In such case, it is going to crack the month long AP NGOs indefinite strike and may oblige the other unions to sit for negotiations with the government.

Rayapati likely to launch new party

  Guntur Congress MP Rayapati Sambhasiva rao, who is not happy with party decision is going to New Delhi to convince the high command to revoke its stand on bifurcation. Speaking to media he said if state is divided then he may launch a new political party in Seemandhra. Before leaving for New Delhi, he is meeting CM Kiran Kumar Reddy to discuss the action plan. Rayapati said party may revoke its decision only when all the Seemandhra MLAs, MPs, state and Central ministers quit their posts protesting its decision.

Its Modi’s Happy Birth Day today

  BJP Prime Ministerial candidate and current Gujarat CM Narendra Modi turns 64 on Tuesday. Hence, BJP cadres across the country are grandly celebrating his Birth Day today. On this eve, speaking to media he said the blessings of people won’t go waste. He thanked the party and the people for extending their support to him. He gave a new slogan ‘Sramaveya Jayathe’ on this occasion, which means hard work only pays. He greets the working force of the country on this occasion. Probably, he might be hinting that if he is able to take charge as Prime Minister of the country, his priority would be manufacturing sector, with which he wants to stabilize the economic situation of the country.   Modi was born to Damodar Das Muchand Modi and Heeraben on 17th September, 1950 in Vadnagar in Mehsana district (in the then Maharashtra state) Gujarat state. He completed his schooling at Vadnagar. Later he starts working in the staff canteen of Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation. Then he left the job after coming into contact with RSS and took training at Nagapur. In the mean he also completed his Master’s degree in political sciences from Gujarat University.   His work in RSS in different levels has brought him close to top BJP leaders like LK Advani, Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Later he shifted to New Delhi and became General Secretary of the party. In 1998 Modi was promoted as National Secretary of the party. His strategy for the 1998 Gujarat elections has made Keshubhai Patel won the elections. Then Modi became CM of the state on 7th October, 2001 in a quite crisis situation, but proved his mettle in no time. Communal riots occurred in the state in 2002 leaves a stained mark on his political career. However, his efficient administration has earned him CM Chair for three consequent times.   Recently, BJP has declared him as its Prime Ministerial candidate. If, Modi could lead the party to success in the forthcoming elections, he will attain peak of his political career.   Happy Birthday to Narendra Modi.

Owaisi stopped from entering riot hit Muzzafarnagar
