TRS leaders refutes CM Kiran’s arguments

  As expected, TRS leaders hits back at CM Kiran Kumar Reddy for his arguments made in favor of Samaikyandhra during the press meet held yesterday at his camp office.   TRS leader K.Taraka Rama rao reacting to his arguments has said “Though he is saying that he was born and brought-up in Hyderabad and ruling the state as CM, he seems to be has no knowledge about Telangana history or its geographical condition. Whatever, the statistics he is showing is absolutely farce. He plans to misguide the people of both regions with his farce statistics and arguments. If, rivers are passing through different regions, will it be an issue to stop the state from dividing. Can’t he see all the states in the country are sharing river waters. He is cheating the people and his own party. He is unfit for his post and party. We suspect whether he lost his mental balance due to fear of losing his CM post.”   KTR asked the T-Co0ngress leaders, why they are still continuing in Kiran's sarkar, when he is openly opposing Telangana formation. He asked them to pressurize their high command for his expulsion from the party and government immediately for disobeying the party decision.   Senior Congress leader Palwai Govardhan Reddy has complained to party state political in-charge Digvijay Singh against CM Kiran Kumar Reddy and handovers the copies of his statement published in the media.

YSRCP struck with Vijayamma’s statement

YSR Congress party honorary president Vijayamma, who went to New Delhi to join the rally conducted by Seemandhra secretariat employees, has made two blunders on her part proving TDP allegations are true. First, despite knowing that her rival party leaders are carefully watching her party activities, she met Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi in Lodhi Hotel, where they had around half an hour meeting.   TDP MP CM Ramesh speaking to media has said he has strong evidences for their meeting. If he is to be believed, then what makes Vijayamma meet Rahul Gandhi? While, YSRCP is rubbishing the opposition parties’ allegations of having secret pact with Congress party to secure bail for Jagan Mohan Reddy, then why did she met Rahul Gandhi? When, YSRCP is claiming that it is fighting against Congress and its decision of dividing the state, then why did she met Rahul Gandhi in the hotel? asks Ramesh.   Then as if she is asserting TDP allegations of pre-planned resignations game played by her party MLAs, “Of course our party MLAs have resigned to their posts in advance, as we got confidential information about CWC’s decision one day before. We even wrote a letter to Home Minister Shinde warning against bifurcation.Then only command has constituted Antony Committee only after our MLAs resigned.”   Vijayamma has not only disclosed her party’s game plan of MLAs resignations, but also confirmed the allegations made by rival parties by meeting Rahul Gandhi. However, she participates in the rally conducted by Seemandhra secretariat employees as if her party is honestly opposing division of the state.

Kiran strikes again

CM Kiran speaking to media at his camp office yesterday dares his party high command. He asked “If, the CWC decision is irrecoverable, then what about late Nehru and Indira Gandhi’s opinions? Don’t their decisions have any value at all? I am not against party or my high command, but I ask them to address all the issues before dividing the state.”   “Unfortunately, a time has come for me to choose between party and people. Though I am fully aware that there is no political future for me outside the Congress, I would like to quit my post for the sake of Samaikyandhra if situation demands,” said CM.   He said, “I strongly believe that my political future is not important than the crores of peoples’ future. Even if I quits, I will remain former CM forever. Whether, I remain CM or not it makes any difference for me, but if the state is divided it makes a huge difference for people of entire state. That’s why I am insisting my party high command to first spell how it is going to address all the issues raised by me during last 60 days, but sadly there is no response at all.”   CM Kiran by speaking so now throws the ball into high command’s court. He concealed nothing about his views on high command and bifurcation. At the same time he also categorically announced that he would like to quit his post and ready to cross swords with it. So, Congress high command may not take much time in reacting against him, otherwise it would cause further damage to party reputation in the state.

Rahul Gandhi shocks Congress

  Supreme Court has been lashing at Congress led UPA government on several accounts, yet it couldn’t leave its die-hard habits. This time the Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi also sharply criticized the UPA government for making amendment to the People Representation Act (PR Act), to surpass the Supreme Court’s latest ruling prohibiting the peoples’ representatives from contesting the elctions, who were jailed in criminal charges.   Rahul Gandhi said “"Now, I will tell you what is my opinion on the ordinance. It is complete nonsense, it should be torn up and thrown away. It is my personal opinion," he said. Rahul said that the arguments given in "my organisation" is that "we need to do this because of political considerations. Everybody is doing this. The Congress does this, the BJP does this, the Samajwadi Party, the JD(U) does this." "It is time to stop this nonsense, political parties, mine and all others....If you want to fight corruption in the country whether it is Congress Party or BJP, we cannot continue making these small compromises. Because if we make these small compromises, then we compromise everywhere."   Supreme Court defining the PR Act, has said representatives of the people can’t take cover under this act. Any representative jailed and lost his/her voting right, will automatically loose the right to contest in the elections. The PR Act can’t allow him/her to contest in the elections, merely because he/she gets a stay order from a court on his/her case. His/her right for contesting in the elections will automatically seizes, once he/she is jailed under criminal charges.   Obviously, there was hue and cry on the apex court’s order in the political circles. The government has immediately brought an amendment to surpass the court order and it was unanimously passed by the members of the Parliament few weeks ago. The bill ispresently lying with President Pranab Mukharji    After Parliament amends the PR Act, now Rahul Gandhi found fault with it. If he really has objections for it, he would have raised it during its process, but then he remained a silent spectator and is now criticizing his own government and party. This will be of no help to anyone but creates embarrassment to his own party and government.    

Jagan seeks court permission to leave Hyd.

  Jagan Mohan Reddy, who was released from jail on conditional bail and was asked not to step out of Hyderabad city, seems can’t follow the court directions for a long time. Hardly two days passed after his release from jail, he filed a petition in CBI court seeking permission to go to his home town Idupulapaya and from there to Guntur to attend the tractors rally to be conducted by his party for Samaikyandhra. The court asks for CBI opinion on his request.   According to latest reports, he is stressing his party seniors to encourage TDP and Congress MLAs, MPs and leaders to join his party. He is particular about Krishna and Guntur districts, which is considered to be strong holds of TDP and Congress parties. So, first he chooses Guntur to begin his ‘operation- aakarsha’ by conducting a rally there. Some Congress leaders related former minister Mopidevi Venkata Ramana from the same district have already joined his party few months ago, and he might be planning to influence the others also with his physical presence in the rally. Once, if CBI grants permission to move out of the city, he may come-up with same kind of appeals at regular intervals to move around Seemandhra region.   The court adjourns his case to Monday.

BJP to contest with CBI, not Congress says Modi

  Gujarat CM Narendra Modi in a public meeting held at Bhopal recently has said BJP has to contest with CBI in the five states that are going for polling soon and definitely not with Congress party as CBI becomes an instrument for it. BJP senior leader LK Advani, who opposes Modi’s candidature for PM post, for the first time has shared common platform with Modi during this meeting.   Though, both of they praise each other during their speeches it is quite diplomatic and they maintained the same distance in the meeting.They appear to be quite uncomfortable with each other’s presence. Modi has touched Advani’s feet seeking his blessings.

Gujarat is least developed state: RR Committee reports

  The UPA appointed committee headed by RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan has ranked Gujarat as the least developed state and recommends the Center for granting additional funds to the state. It ranked Gujarat as No.12 in the development index of all the states.   The RR Committee was constituted by the finance minister P.Chidambaram few months ago, in wake of Bihar CM Nitish Kumar’s demand for special status to his state. The committee also earmarked the two BJP ruled states- Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh as least developed states and recommends for granting additional funds for development activities.   Though the committee’s recommendations bring additional funds to these states, it leaves Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi quite embarrassed, who boasts about the all-round development of his state and often declares it stand as role model in development for all the other states. The Committee reports also embarrasses BJP, which claims that BJP ruled states are developing rapidly when compared to Congress ruled states.   However, the timing of tabling the RR Committee reports comes handy for Congress as it is going to face Assembly elections in five states including BJP ruled states Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. BJP yet to react on the committee report.

T-Note in October 1st week: Digvijay

  Congress party state political in-charge Digvijay Singh gives a fresh statement on every day on bifurcation. Three days ago he said T-note will be submitted only after Antony Committee submits its reports. Yesterday he said Home Minister Shinde will prepare T-note and submit in the cabinet meeting very soon. Today he said T-note will be submitted to Cabinet meeting during October 1st week. He also adds there is no connection between T-note and Antony Committee report. He said regional parties may easily change their stand on bifurcation, but being a national party we can change our stand. We firmly stick to our decision on bifurcation of the state.

Is Jagan plans to shoot three birds for one shot?

  Soon after release from jail on bail, Jagan Mohan Reddy is swiftly making his moves to gain control over the state politics. First he asked his MLAs get their resignations approved by the Speaker immediately, so as to project himself as savior of Samaikyandhra. He plans to shoot three birds at a time with this idea.   He is trying to trap the Congress and TDP MLAs playing the same trick that he played soon before CWC made its announcement. If, his party MLAs quit their posts, it will naturally create pressure on TDP and Congress MLAs also to follow the path. This will definitely put those two parties in defense mode. With this he not only can corner his rival parties but also tag them anti-samaikyandhra parties, so that YSRCP can emerge as the lone pro-Samaikyandhra party.   In case, if he could influence a handful of Congress MLAs to follow his path, then Kiran sarkar will collapse and President’s Rule will be imposed on the state. His party leader Sabbam Hari has just announced that his party will support either UPA or 3rd Front but not BJP government at Center. So, it is evident that YSRCP and Congress parties have some political interests in common.   Congress high command, which is troubled with CM Kiran Kumar Reddy but not in a position to remove him from his chair, has given this task to Jagan Mohan Reddy in lieu with his bail, to avoid an embarrassing situation. Once he successfully accomplishes this task, then President Rule will be imposed on the state and bifurcation process will be completed without any hurdles.   Even then, Jagan can claim Samaikyandhra championship for self. If, he could complete this first operation given to him by Congress high command, then the next operation would be strike an election deal with Congress.

Is Jagan supporting or opposing Samaikyandhra?

  Minister Sailajanath, who is fighting to keep the state united, has expressed anguish over YSR Congress party MLAs and their Chief Jagan Mohan Reddy for their plans to insist the Speaker for approving their resignations, just ahead of submission of T-Bill in the Assembly. He asked whether YSR Congress party is really honest with its Samaikyandhra stand or is it conspiring to divide the state to gain political mileage in Seemandhra region.   He said “If they are really honest with their fight for Samaikyandhra, then they should fight against the T-bill in the Assembly and then resign. But, they are in hurry to ensure their resignations are approved before the arrival of T-Bill to assembly. It appears they are not preventing bifurcation but paving for it in an attempt to gain political mileage in the new state. Whoever, opposes bifurcation should stand unite and oppose the T-bill in the assembly. They should realize that they can’t become champions of Seemandhra by merely resigning to their posts.”

Government refuses to extend DGP service period

  The state government has refused the plea for extending the service period of DGP Dinesh Reddy, who hits the media for wrong reasons these days. The government is forwarding the same recommendations to Tribunal, which is trying his case. The Supreme Court’s order for CBI inquiry into his disproportionate assets has given a chance to opposition parties to demand for his removal from the post.   The controversy erupted with his meeting with Habib Mustafa Idrus Baba of old city and the cases filed against media also might have had its ill effects on his plea for extension. According to reports, Vara Prasad rao is likely to succeed him as DGP of the state.

Pak Militants strikes again

  Even before the hue and cry in parliament calmed over the home minister Shinde’s statement on “some unidentified persons wearing army uniforms attacked the boarder security forces” few weeks ago, once again on Thursday, Pak militants came in army uniforms attacked Hiranagar police station in Kathua in Jammu and Kashmir and then barged into an army camp-Samba, 40 km away from the police station.   The militants dressed in army uniforms have first gained entry into police station and discriminately fired on the police on duty. Four police were killed on the spot and an Assistant Sub-Inspector is severely injured in the attack. A civilian also killed on the spot, when the militants hurled a grenade on the police station. The incident happens around 6.45 am. Later, the militants stopped a truck passing by and moved barged into Samba army camp.   It is reported some army personal were injured in the attack. According to latest reports, heavy gun fight between the army personal and the militants is continuing.

Chandrababu ‘Atma Gourava Yatra’ from 5th

  Chandrababu Naidu will resume second phase of his ‘Atma Gourava Yatra’ from October 5th. This time he will begins his tour from Prakasham district and proceeds to Nellore district. He is likely to tour for 10 days in this stretch. He may aim his guns on Jagan Mohan Reddy, who was released from jail and on the Congress party.

Moily says alliance with Jagan likely

  Petroleum Minister Veerappa Moily, who arrived at Bangalore today replying to a media question, has said “There is nothing impossible in politics. Even alliance with YSR Congress party also can’t be ruled-out. However, there is plenty of time to talk about all these things.”   This is the second indication came from Congress party within 24 hours of his release. Yesterday PC Chacko also stated that time is not ripe for talking on alliance with YSRCP. He said anyone either he is in jail or living outside, he has to support Congress party, because there is no alternative.” Congress high command appears to be eager to strike a deal with YSRCP, whereas the latter is not yet settled to react to their feelers.

CBI Court summons Jagan on Nov.1st

  Today, the CBI Court takes-up the charge sheet filed against India Cements, and served summons to all the accused including Jagan Mohan Reddy, who is A1 accused in the case. The court orders all the accused to attend the court on November 1st.   CBI court also serves summons to BCCI President N.Srinivasan, who is also the director of India Cements Company and accused in the same case. He was also asked to attend the court on November 1st.

Digvijay remarks against CM Kiran

  Nearly one and half months after CM Kiran Kumar Reddy revolts against party decision, party state political in-charge Digvijay Singh has reacts. He made critical remarks against him before media. He said “Kiran Kumar Reddy is not CM of one particular region, but for the whole state. So, he has to give equal treatment to all the people of the state and leaders of the party without showing any discretion.”   So far, only unconfirmed reports used to flash in the media on what the high command is thinking about Kiran Kumar Reddy’s pro-samaikyandhra stand. But, Digvijay’s direct remarks reveal that high command is not happy with his style of functioning and his pro-samaikayndhra stand. Perhaps, Kiran Kumar Reddy also might be aware of the party high command’s mood, but he seems chosen what the best option is for his political future.

Three options on Hyd. is media creation

  The T-Ministers led by K.Jana Reddy, who met Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde yesterday have insisted him for early implementation of CWC decision of creating Telangana state. They told him that any further delay in implementation is going to stir more problems for the party and ultimately they will affect its electoral chances in the 2014 general elections. Whether he has asserted them for the same or not is not known.   Later speaking to media, Jana Reddy said that the reports about the Congress high command considering the three options on Hyderabad are mere creation of media and the Home Minister has never spelled it anyway.   However, few days back the Home Minister has categorically stated before media that they are considering three options over Hyderabad status. Therefore, the statements and counter statements on Hyderabad status seem to be an attempt to show upper hand over their rival and nothing else.

UPA declares elections bonanza to employees

  The UPA government appears to be working overtime to meet the deadline of the upcoming Assembly elections in the five states to be held in December 2013 and the forthcoming general elections in April 2014. Soon after passing the Food Security Bill and Land Acquisition Bill in the Parliament, which it believes a game changer in the elections, now approves the 7th Pay Commission to please more the 55 lakhs of Central government employees and 30 lakhs of pensioners.   The Commission will review the existing pay scales of the employees and make recommendations for the revised pay scales. The entire process takes around two years to complete. So, in wake of the upcoming Assembly and Parliament elections, UPA government believes this is an appropriate time to make an announcement on Pay Commission. Finance Minister P.Chidambaram has made this announcement on Wednesday.   He said Prime Minister Dr.Manmohan Singh has recently approved the proposal for constituting of 7th Pay Commission. The names of the members and Chairman will be announced shortly. However, the recommendations of the Commission will be implemented from 1st January, 2013,” said the Finance Minister. The 4th Pay Commission was implemented from January 1, 1986, then the 6th from January 1, 1996 and the last one from January 1, 2006 maintaining an interval of 10 years between each Pay Commission.
