Best compliments for India from Zuckerberg

  Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg is currently in New Delhi. He visited historical Taj Mahal in Agra city yesterday. He is very much amazed with the beauty of the historical monument. While interacting with IIT students in Delhi on Wednesday he gave best compliments to India.   He said “It is one of the countries where you cannot connect the world without connecting India...”   “It is very important to connect the people in India. India has the second highest users of Facebook in the world which presents a good opportunity to develop the economy. But, I came to know that still many people don’t have access to internet in the country. So, there is a great opportunity to develop the economy here. Connecting people in India is one of the most important things we can do for the world. Our mission is to connect everyone in the world. So, connecting everyone in India to the internet is also part of my mission,” said Zuckerberg.

Richest state Telangana also need financial package?

  Telangana Chief Minister KCR met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday and seeks special financial package for Telangana state also. He told him that except Hyderabad all other districts in the state are very backward and need to be developed. Hence, he appealed the Prime Minister to grant huge financial package and also some projects for his Telangana state. CM KCR also reminded him about bifurcation of combined high court. Prime Minister Modi is said to be positively responded to his appeal.   If reports from New Delhi are to be believed then the Modi government is planning to grant nearly Rs.2 lakh crore special financial package to the AP state after Bihar Assembly elections are completed in the next month.   Andhra Pradesh couldn’t get special status until now because of the objections raised by Tamilnadu, Odisha state governments. If, India’s second richest state Telangana also demands for special financial package along with Andhra Pradesh state, then the Centre may hesitate to grant special financial package to the beleaguered AP state.   Centre is committed to develop backward districts in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states as it was assured in the AP Reorganization Act. Hence, CM KCR can insist sufficient funds for it but it is not fair to demand for equal financial package with Andhra Pradesh state. People of the AP state have been desperately waiting for special status and special package since last 16 months and still hopefully waiting for it.

More than 25 candidates seeking TRS ticket!

  Just three-four days ago, media reported that TRS tried to rope in Congress leaders G Vivekananda (Vivek) into party. It also reported that Minister K Harish Rao met him at K Keshav Rao’s home and convinced Vivek to join TRS. Vivek is reportedly agreed to join and contest on behalf of TRS party in Warangal by elections. But, the other day he changed his mind and decides to continue in the Congress party. In this context, it would be very interesting to hear the statement of TRS MLC Rajeswar Reddy.   He said “There are more than 25 candidates in our party standing in the queue line seeking ticket to contest in the Warangal by elections. But, the opposition parties are unable to find a suitable candidate until now.”   “It is TDP, which is scared to contest in the by elections but not our TRS party. TDP accepts its defeat by letting BJP to contest these by elections. According to latest surveys conducted by some independent agencies, more than 57 per cent of the people believed that TRS party is going to win the Warangal by elections and more than 82 per cent people are satisfied with the welfare and development activities being implemented by CM KCR in the state. Chandrababu Naidu can’t say that people have lost their faith in our party. So, in this context opposition parties can’t win the by elections at any cost,” said Rajeswar Reddy.   Naturally, people may wonder if 25 candidates are standing in the queue line for TRS ticket, then why Minister Harish Rao appealed Congress leader G Vivek to join TRS and contest by elections.

Bihar will go for 3rd phase of polling tomorrow

  Third phase of polling for 50 constituencies of Bihar Assembly will be held on Wednesday. Total 808 persons are contesting for 50 seats in Bhojpur, Buxer, Nalanda, Patna, Sharan and Vaishali districts in the state. Out of them 215 persons are facing criminal charges.   There are total 1, 45, 85, 177 voters. Out of them 78,31,388 are male, 66,86,718 female and 599 are transgender. Election commission has made elaborate security arrangements to ensure smooth polling keeping in view contestants criminal track records.   RJD President Lalu Prasad Yadav’s elder son Tej Pratap Singh is contesting from Mahua constituency and younger son Tejaswi Prasad is contesting from Raghopur constituency. Voters will decide their fate during tomorrow’s polling. BJP senior leader Nanda Kishore Sharma, Deputy speaker of the state assembly Amarendra Prathap Singh, party whip Arun Kumar Sinha are few noted leaders among the contestants whose fate will be decided tomorrow.   Bihar is undergoing elections in five phases. So far two phases were completed and third phase will be conducted on Wednesday. Fourth and fifth phases of elections will be held on November 1st and 5th simultaneously. Counting of votes and results announcement on November 8th.

TDP decides to leave Warangal seat to BJP

  TDP President Chandrababu Naidu holds a meeting with his party leaders of Telangana state today. They have decided to leave the Warangal seat to BJP, which is insisting for it. Telangana TDP President L Ramana, senior leaders of the party Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Revanth Reddy, Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy and few others attend this meeting. Later speaking to the media, L Ramana said that they would like to follow their President Chandrababu Naidu’s decision in this regard. Hence, Ravula Chandrasekhar seems to be convinced to drop from the race. Chandrababu Naidu wants to leave the seat to BJP to avoid friction between two parties for the seat. This eases the job of BJP and it is now free to announce its own candidate.   The ruling TRS party is still searching for winning horse for these bye-elections. It tried to rope-in Congress leader G Vivek and almost convinced him, but he changed his mind in the last minute and decide to stick to Congress party only. Hence, TRS party is searching for a right candidate to face the confident opposition parties.   Eleven left parties are supporting Gali Vinod, who is contesting as independent candidate in these bye-elections. Congress party is trying to convince G Vivek to contest in these bye-elections, but he is not showing any interest. Hence, Congress party is also searching for right candidate.   Warangal Elections Schedule: Elections notification will be issued on October 28th. Last date for filing nominations: November 4th. Nominations scrutiny: November 5th. Last date for withdrawal of nominations: November 7th. Polling will be held on November 21st. Counting of votes and results announcement on November 24th.

TDP MP Gundu Sudharani likely to jump into TRS?

  TDP Rajya Sabha member Gundu Sudharani is likely to jump into TRS party any time before Warangal bye-elections to be held on November 4th. TRS party that failed to rope in Congress leader G Vivekananda into the party is reportedly trying now to attract Sudharani into the party.   She is also said to be interested to leave TDP as she is not feeling happy with the way she is treated in TDP. She alleges that some senior leaders of the party completely set aside her in the party. TRS is trying this idea of “Operation Akarsha” in an attempt to weaken its rival parties just ahead of the bye-elections.   Congress party managed to hold its leader Vivek from jumping the fence, but TDP is unlikely. TDP leaders are trying to convince her to stick to the party. But, if she jumps out of the party and joins TRS then it would be equally embarrassing for TDP and TRS as well.

Somu Veerraju hits hard at TDP leaders

  Somu Veerraju, a senior BJP leader of AP state aims his guns at TDP again. He strongly objects Hindupuram MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna and MP Jayadev remarks over special status. Somu Veerraju demands them both to withdraw their remarks which he believes is meaningless.   He said “It is unfortunate to hear TDP leaders criticizing the central government over special status issue though they are aware that it is under processing stage. If, they keep criticizing us we won’t tolerate anymore. We won’t hesitate to come out of the government and take upon the TDP government like any other opposition parties in the state. We are controlling ourselves keeping in view of our alliance with TDP. We don’t want to strain our relations with TDP and hope they also have the same views for us. TDP government is not involving us any programs launched by it that were granted by the central government. Centre is ready to grant three universities to the state, but they are getting delayed because the state government is unable provide land for them until now. Hence, I appeal the TDP leaders to focus their attention on their own achievements rather than pointing fingers at others.”

Chota Rajan nabbed in Indonesia

  The most wanted criminal and underworld don Chota Rajan, who was absconding from police for the last two decades, finally was nabbed at Bali in Indonesia on Monday while he was returning from Australia. Australian police, Indonesian police and CBI teams from India take part in this joint operation. Minister of state of foreign affairs VK Singh, who reached Indonesia two days before his arrest is reportedly played key role in conducting this joint operation.   Since, there is an agreement between India and Indonesia for handing over criminals, there may be no problem in bringing him back to India for facing trial in more than dozen serious offences. Once, Chota Rajan worked for underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, but later he separated from him and established his own gang.

Earth quake hits north India, Pakistan and Afghanistan

  A massive earth quake measuring 7.5 on Richter scale shakes north India around 2.40 pm nearly for one minute on Monday afternoon. Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan are among the states witnessed earth quake. Delhi Metro Rail services were halted for a while as a precautionary measure. No loss of lives were reported from anywhere in the country.   The epicenter of the earthquake is identified at the depth of 190 kms in Hindu Kush Mountain range between Afghanistan and Pakistan. However, the earthquake with same magnitude leaves devastating effects on Afghanistan and Pakistan. Hundreds of buildings were collapsed and thousands of people injured in both countries. According to available information around 50-70 people were killed in Pakistan and 21 people in Afghanistan. But the death toll may steeply raise as hundreds of people were trapped under the debris.   Islamabad, Karachi, Rawalpindi, Peshawar and Lahore cities are worst effected in the earthquake. Rescue teams have started working in all places. Hospitals in quake affected cities are overcrowded with the injured persons. Prime Minister Narendra Modi talked Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani and offered help to the quake victims.

Package or status anything only after Bihar Elections

  Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s silence over special status or special package to AP during his recent visit to Amaravati disappoints the people of the state. His silence provides a strong weapon to the Congress and YSR Congress parties which are gradually getting close to each other. Both parties intensify their attacks on Chandrababu Naidu rather than Prime Minister Narendra Modi.   The vociferous TDP leaders like Gali Muddhu Krsihnam Naidu are trying to defend their party and the government from opposition attacks, but they couldn’t find any strong excuse for it. But, according to some TDP leaders, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was forced to remain silent on these special commitments keeping in view of ongoing Bihar Assembly elections. They believe that the Modi Government may announce the financial package any time after Bihar Assembly elections are concluded.   Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu also recently stated that he is expecting announcement in this regard within next two or three weeks, that is after Bihar Assembly elections. Prime Minister Modi asked the Neeti Ayog officials to prepare a road-map for granting special financial package to the AP state and they are reportedly finished their job recently. If so, the report will be forwarded to Prime Minister Narendra Modi soon and he may announce the financial package to the state anytime in the next month.

Chandrababu gives fitting reply to Jagan

  YSR Congress party president Jagan Mohan Reddy visited Malkapuram village in the capital area, where some miscreants set fire to sugar cane crop of a farmer, who refuses to give his land for Amaravati construction. After speaking with the local farmers, Jagan spits fire at Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for trying to scare the farmers by doing such things.   He said "Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is describing Bihar as jungle Raj should visit Malkapuram to see the Rakshas Raj of Chandrababu Naidu. He said police are also refusing to register any cases against anyone, instead they are making fun of farmers. Jagan said so far 13 such instances of setting fire to crops took place in the capital region alone, but no action was taken anyone until now. He assured the farmers his party support. He said that we will fight against the government in the courts.”   Chief Minister Chandrababu sharply reacted to his allegations. He said “setting fire to the crops in not our culture but it is factionists’ culture. Government did not force any farmer to handover their lands. Farmers gave their lands voluntarily after satisfying with the benefits offered to them under land pooling system. But, some people like Jagan Mohan Reddy are intentionally making false allegations against the state government merely to misguide the people. He appealed the farmers and the people of the state not to lend their ears to his negative publicity.   It is to be noted that Jagan, who vows to fight on behalf of the farmers some time ago, simply disappeared all these days while the state government was making arrangements for laying foundation stone for Amaravati. Now he returns to farmers and once again asserting them his party support and is also provoking them to go against the state government for a legal fight in the courts.

Chandrababu shelves Speaker Kodela’s proposal

  Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu shelved the proposal made by Speaker Dr. Kodela Shiva Prasada Rao for construction of temporary buildings for AP Assembly and Legislative Council at Thullur and conducting upcoming winter sessions there. Chief Minister shelved his proposals as he believes it is mere wasting of public money. He suggested the Speaker to conduct winter sessions in the same building at Hyderabad.   However, he agreed to conduct the budget sessions somewhere in Andhra Pradesh, mostly in Guntur or Vijayawada in the available existing buildings. Ministers, MLAs and MLCs attending the budget sessions may be provided accommodation at Hai Lands. Although, the main opposition party YSR Congress party agrees for Speaker’s proposal, his decision to construct temporary buildings for Assembly and Council was widely criticized by the people. Hence, Chief Minister appears to be shelved the decision.

Rahul Gandhi lacks leadership qualities: ML Fotedhar

  Generally, political leaders criticize their party leadership before or after leaving the party, but Congress leaders criticize their own leadership even while continuing in the party. Some small and big leaders of the party from all over the country start demanding their party president Sonia Gandhi and Vice-President to step down from their posts owing moral responsibility for the defeat in the general elections. But, somehow they were silenced. However, now and then some senior leaders of the party are pointing their fingers at them. Hence, the opinions expressed by them about their leadership are considered to be genuine and worth thinking.   Senior Congress leader ML Fotedhar penned a book ‘The Chinar Leaves’ in which he opined Rahul Gandhi lacks leadership qualities and thus he is not fit for party president post or prime minister posts.   Fotedhar writes in his book, “Sonia Gandhi is not realizing or do not want realize that many leaders of the party are not accepting her son Rahul Gandhi as party president. It is to be understood that they are opposing Sonia Gandhi’s plans to install her son in her chair. But, he lacks essential qualities to claim the chair. People of the country are also not ready to accept Rahul Gandhi as Prime Minister of the country because for the same reasons.”   Fotedhar writes, “The way late Rajeev Gandhi enters into active politics without any interest, Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi also comes into active politics similarly. However, Sonia Gandhi has proved her mettle but not Rahul Gandhi. He is still depending on his mother, sister and senior leaders. Actually, late Indira Gandhi said that Priyanka Gandhi got all those leadership qualities to lead the party and the country.”   “I think party also lacks clarity about its activities and future. It forgot or neglecting to learn about the changing trends in the country politics. I believe Sonia Gandhi alone has the ability to bring the lost glory of the party, but she has to give it a fresh-look. I know my views may hurt Sonia Gandhi very much, but the truth is truth and it is very bitter to digest.”

Somu Veeraju objects and seeks apology from TDP MP Jayadev

  TDP MP Galla Jayadev said that he is very much disappointed to see Prime Minister Narendra Modi not making any announcement on special status or special package to the state during his recent visit to Amaravati.   He said “TDP can’t insist him for special status as long as it continues to sail together with BJP. I think that the state government should have some clarity on how to achieve special status and package.” Later, media reports that CM Chandrababu Naidu asked him not speak against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government.   But, BJP senior leader Somu Veeraju sharply reacted on his statement. He strongly objected for his statement and also demands him for an unconditional apology to Prime Minister for speaking so.   He said “Prime Minister Modi never opposed for granting special status to the state nor he ever said that he is not granting it. Modi said that his government is trying to clear the hurdles for it. But, TDP leaders are making baseless allegations against Prime Minister Modi. Hence, I demand Galla Jayadev to withdraw his statement and tender an unconditional apology to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”   “TDP Government is claiming the credit for uninterrupted power supply and loan waiver, whereas it is actually attributed to Central government. Government is not giving any importance to our BJP leaders of the state although it is seeking and taking support from our NDA government,’ alleges Somu Veeraju.

Maldives Vice President was arrested

  Maldives Vice President Ahmed Adeeb has been arrested at Maldives airport when he returned from his official China tour on Saturday morning. According Maldives police officials, he has been arrested on suspicion for his alleged involvement in the assassination attempt on Maldives President Yameen Abdul Gayoom on September 28th. An explosion took place in President’s speed boat while he and his wife were returning from Hajj pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia. President Gayoom narrowly escaped unhurt from this mid-sea explosion but his wife and their body guard were injured in it. Later, he ordered for an investigation on this explosion and it leads to none other than Vice-President of Maldives. Police officials are questioning him about his alleged involvement in this bomb explosion in President’s boat.

Party cadres are insisting me contest Warangal bye-elections: Ravula

  TDP Polit bureau member Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy plainly said that he is keen to contest in bye-elections for Warangal Loksabha constituency.   “Our party cadres are insisting me to contest in these bye-elections. Earlier, we have supported BJP in the bye-elections for Medak Loksabha constituency and also during MLC elections. So, BJP should leave Warangal seat to TDP following alliance dharma. People have lost faith in ruling TRS and in Congress party also. So, if the party gives me a chance to contest I will definitely win the bye-elections, said Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy to media.   Today, TDP and BJP leaders are holding separate meetings to chalk out their action plans to convince the other to spare the seat for their party. TDP and BJP leaders may meet today evening or tomorrow morning to finalize the common candidate’s name. They may announce their candidate name tomorrow itself.

Bajarangi Bhaijaan returns

  The dumb and duff girl Geeta, who by mistake lands in Pakistan 15 years ago, will be returning home on October 26th. Her story surfaced after Salman Khan’s latest movie ‘Bajarangi Bhaijaan’ with similar story was released world over including Pakistan few months ago. Ever since, her pictures and story has been widely published through media. Her parents and sisters recognized her as their family member. She also recognized her family members’ photo sent by the MEA officials of India to Islamabad few weeks ago.   The Eed Foundation officials, who have been taking care of her all these years, are bringing her back to India on October 26th. They will hand over to her parents after confirming their DNA reports matching with her.   Generally, many movies are made based upon real life incidents, but this Bajarangi Bhaijaan movie makes story become reality and helping a poor girl to re unite with her family members after a long painful wait of 15 years. Modi government racing with bullet speed

  Modi government appears to be racing with bullet speed in taking decisions and its implementation. Ever since, Modi takes charge as Prime Minister of India, his government is taking several decisions very quickly and clearing various projects with lightning speed.   One such ambitious project is introducing a bullet train between Ahmadabad and Mumbai. Indian Railways called for global tenders for this purpose few months ago and Japan International Corporation (JIC) wins it. Japan is ready to invest Rs.90, 000 crore on this project for less than 1 percent interest. Hence, the Indian Railways has submitted a technical feasibility report to JIC recently. Once the formalities and land acquisition works are completed, JIC may start construction works of this dream project.   The distance between Ahmadabad and Mumbai is 505 kilometers and our superfast express trains are taking around 7 hours to cover this distance. Bullet train that travels with 300-350 km/hr will make it in less than two hours only. If Modi government could make this dream project turn into reality certainly entire credit goes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government only.

Pulla Rao straight question to Jagan

  YSR Congress party president Jagan Mohan Reddy and his party leaders started fierce attacks against AP CM Chandrababu Naidu after Prime Minister Narendra Modi offers nothing to the state during his speech at Amaravati yesterday.   It would be interesting to see Jagan Mohan Reddy, who is A-1 accused in 11 charge sheets in the disproportionate assets cases, is accusing Chandrababu Naidu that he is not insisting the Prime Minister for special status merely to bail himself out of the cases. He gave a call to his party cadres to start statewide protest rallies immediately.   Minister Prattipati Pulla Rao sharply reacting to his criticism shoots a straight question to Jagan Mohan Reddy. He asked why did he and his party leaders boycotted Amaravati foundation stone laying ceremony where they could demand the Prime Minister to declare special status to the state. He alleges that Jagan Mohan Reddy intentionally boycotted this function merely to escape from facing this embarrassing situation. Pulla Rao suggested him to approach Prime Minister Narendra Modi and insist him to grant special status to the state, if he is honestly fighting for it.
