Congress won’t support separate state demands!

  AP PCC President Raghuveera Reddy, who alone is trying to keep his party afloat in the state, stated that his party will not support separate Rayalaseema state demand of some of his party leaders and other parties as well. He said there is no necessity for making such demands instead opposition parties should fight for the development of the Rayalaseema region. He opined that both state and central governments are neglecting development of backward Rayalaseema districts. He asserted that Congress party will fight on behalf of it with the state government.   His statement may stop the Congress party leaders of Rayalaseema region from going ahead with their plans if any. YSR Congress party leaders also appear to be dropped their idea of starting agitations for separate Rayalaseema state. But, it is AP government’s responsibility to ensure development of Rayalaseema and North Coastal Andhra districts without any discrimination or negligence. Otherwise it will be blamed if any agitations kick starts with separate state demands.

Konda Murali elected unopposed as MLC

  TRS candidate for Warangal MLC seat Konda Murali has been elected unopposed as the only one independent candidate withdraws his nomination papers today. Konda Murali is husband of Warangal (east) TRS MLA Konda Surekha. Hence they both and TRS as well is very happy for the first victory in the MLC elections. TRS is contesting for all 12 seats in the state and wins first seat even before elections begin. TRS is expecting unanimous election in 2-3 seats in its strong hold districts.   Konda couple have faced lots of hardships after coming out of YSR Congress party before general elections held last year. They managed to get admission into TRS and Konda Surekha become MLA. However, they feel neglected in the TRS party also. Hence, they are upset about their political future, but TRS Chief KCR honors them by giving chance to Konda Murali to contest from Warangal. Konda couple followers are celebrating Murali's victory.

New IT City to come up at Tellapur near Hyderabad

  Telangana government begins exercise for developing a new IT City at Tellapur and Nallagandla villages located in the outskirts of Hyderabad. It plans to construct a mega IT City in 300 acres of land that was readily available in these two villages. This Mega City will not only hosts the IT companies but will also provide housing, shopping malls, entertainment facilities etc. for the employees work in the companies. So, it would be a whole new modern and unique city for Telangana state.   Telangana government has finalized ICICI bank, Nagarjuna Construction Company and Tismas as partners of this mega project. During initial stage, the project will be developed in 100 acres of undisputed land. Once, the government clears the land disputes, the project will be extended to balance 200 acres also. It is expected to complete with in next three years. IT, Software development and export companies will be accommodated in this new IT City at Tellapur. To be frank, IT Companies are contributing major part of Telangana state revenue, with which the state stood in second place in the in the richest states list. Hence, if this new project is completed then the state revenue may multiply further and proportionately state development.

SIT formed to investigate spurious liquor deaths case

  AP state government takes the spurious liquor deaths case very seriously. DGP JV Ramudu has constituted an eight member Special Investigating Team (SIT) led by DIG of police Mahesh Chandra Laddha to investigate the deaths and spurious liquor case.   Greyhounds SP Senthil Kumar, DSP T Kanaka Raju, DSP of SC and ST Cell of East Godavari district M Venkateswara Rao, Circle Inspectors of Guntur range K Srinivasa Rao and K Abdul Karim, Circle Inspector of Jaggaiahpeta Y V Naidu, Sub-Inspector of Guntur Urban CH. Rambabu, Sub-Inspector of Lalpeta Guntur Meera Saheb are in this team. Commissioner of Police D Gawtham Sawang will supervise the progress of their investigation.   DGP Ramudu said Vijayawada Police booked a case against nine persons including Congress party Vijayawada city president Malladi Vishnu under Sections 37 (A) (I) (II) of AP Prohibition and Excise Act and 204 and 328 of IPC. Police have arrested Swarna Bar and Restaurant’s staff members and seized the bar. Police teams are searching for Malladi Vishnu, who is absconding from them soon after the news broke about police added his name in the accused.   B. Sarat Chandra, K. Purna Chandra Sarma, M. Lakshmi Saraswati and M. Balatirupa Sundaramma are license holders of the bar. Their whereabouts are also not known. PCC President Raghuveera Reddy, who initially backs Malladi Vishnu, is unable to support him now as police found Malladi Vishnu is also partner of Swarna Bar and Restaurant.

Oh my god! It backfires again at Jagan!

  It seems once again Jagan Mohan Reddy’s hasty decision back fires at his YSR Congress party. He rushed to Vijayawada and visited the families of five persons died in the spurious liquor case. Later speaking to media, he demands the state government to impose complete ban on liquor sales in the state. He said if TDP government fails to impose ban on liquor, his party will implement it after coming to power. But, it is to be noticed that none of his party leaders backed him in this matter, because some of them are involved in liquor businesses. His unpredicted and hasty demand for ban on liquor leaves them very much embarrassed. They all are not in a position to support him or oppose him over this particular matter.   Before Jagan Mohan Reddy realizes this point, TDP leader Somireddy Chandra Mohan Reddy gives him a fitting reply. He reminds Jagan that YSR Congress party leaders are doing liquor business in the state and ask them to close their businesses if he honest with his demand. Even if he insists the government for imposing ban on liquor sales, first he has to answer TDP leaders’ question about his party leaders’ liquor businesses. At the same time, he can't insist his party leaders to quit their liquor businesses. If, insists, they may quit the party rather than their businesses.   Perhaps, this is not exactly what Jagan Mohan Reddy expected out of this spurious liquor case! Let us see whether he will still stick to his demand or simply ignore it like he did with his demand for special status.

YSRCP fields Kamal Raj in Khammam

YSR Congress party fields Kamal Raj as its candidate for MLC elections in Khammam district. It has total 90 members in the district. It starts contesting in the elections after it was strongly criticized for extending its support to TRS party in the previous MLC elections. This will help it to defend itself from such criticism, even while it is indirectly extending its support to ruling TRS party. Hence, no surprise if its members cross votes in favor of TRS candidate Balasani Lakshmi Narayana.   TDP and Congress party are extending their support to CPI candidate Puvvada Nageswara Rao in these elections. They have 225 members strength collectively but still he needs few more seats to win the elections, considering no cross voting from their three parties in favor of TRS candidate. Puvvada has pinned his hopes on the independents and New Democratic parties which have 50 members collectively. But, first he has to make sure that there is no cross voting in his and supporting parties.   TRS is quite confident of winning these elections effortlessly as it already has nearly sufficient strength. All it has to do is encourage members of other parties cross vote in favor of its candidate Balasani. YSR Congress party members may come to his help, besides other party’s members.

GO issued for demolition of heritage buildings?

  If reports are to be believed, Telangana government issued a GO to amend the law that enables the government for demolition of heritage buildings in Hyderabad twin cities. This will enable the state government to demolish heritage buildings like Osmania Hospital, Erragadda Chest Hospital and many buildings that comes in the route of Hyderabad Metro rail Project.   According to statistics there are around 160 heritage buildings in Hyderabad twin cities and majority of them belongs to private persons. Opposition parties and Telangana JAC Chairman Professor Kodandaram also strongly opposed Telangana government plans for demolition of Osmania Hospital. Hence, they may oppose any such move. Telangana government has constituted a three member committee to study the condition of several heritage buildings in twin cities. Government will take a final decision based on its report.

Cognizant donates Rs.260 crores for Chennai

  It is really unbelievable. US based Cognizant software company having its branch at Chennai announced a whooping donation of Rs. 260 crores to for conducting relief operations in Chennai. Out of it Rs. 65 crores will be given to Tamilnadu Chief Minister’s relief fund and rest of the amount Rs. 195 crores to NGOs and charitable trusts involved in rescue and relief operations in Chennai. Apart from this huge donation, Cognizant announced that it is directly take part in relief and rehabilitation works through its Cognizant Foundation. This is highest donation ever received by the government so far.   Several software companies, business houses, industrialists, film industry people and many others are also announcing huge donations for relief and rehabilitation works in Chennai.   Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan has announced Rs. 1 crore donation. Heroes Allu Arjun, Suriya and Karthi donated Rs. 25 lakhs each. Heroine Hansika- Rs.15 lakhs, Rajnikanth, Mahesh Babu and Vishal -Rs. 10 lakh each, Ravi Teja and Kalyan Ram-Rs.5 lakh each, Varun Tej- Rs.3 lakhs, Sampoornesh Babu- Rs.50, 000,

Congress leader Malladi Vishnu among booked

  Vijayawada city police filed cases against nine people including former Congress MLA Malladi Vishnu in connection with spurious liquor-death cases. He was named as 9th accused in this case. Malladi Vishnu has been arguing that he has nothing to do with the Swarna Bar and Restaurant, where five persons died on the spot after consuming spurious liquor. He admits that Swarna Bar belongs to his relative but arguing that he is not owner or partner in it.   Excise Commissioner MK Meena orders for closure of all bars and liquor shops today in the district and sent teams for inspection in bars and liquor godowns. He imposed ban on ‘Officer’s Choice’ brand liquor as excise officials are suspecting the deaths were caused because of the particular brand alcohol. Excise department is also searching in the districts to find out spurious liquor manufacturing if any. Police teams are also conducting investigation to find out the actual reason and culprits of this tragic incident.

Two trains collides in Haryana, 3 persons died

  Two trains coming in opposite direction on same track collided in Palwal district of Haryana state today around 8.25 am. The driver of the local train and two others are reportedly killed on the spot in this accident. Around 100 passengers are reported to be injured but fortunately all are safe. The reason for this serious accident is human error. Signaling staff have allowed Lokmanya Tilak Haridwar Express on same track on which a local passenger was coming from Palwal.   Both trains collide near Bhagola village that is 80 km away from Delhi. Drivers of both trains failed to notice the other train coming from opposite direction due to thick fog. Signaling staff reportedly allowed both trains on same track in opposite directions by mistake as repair works are taking place on the other track.   Around 15 train services were disrupted with this accident. Injured passengers have been shifted to local hospitals and some to hospitals in Faridabad city. TRS and Congress candidates’ names for MLC elections

  Finally all political parties in Telangana state seem to be prepared for facing MLC elections to be held under local bodies’ quota. TRS already declares seven candidates and is going to declare five others names today or tomorrow.   TRS is fielding P. Satish-Adhilabad, Lakshmi Narayana- Khammam, Bhupathi Reddy-Nizamabad, Bhupal Reddy-Medak, Chinnappa Reddy-Nalgonda, N Lakshman Rao and Bhanu Prasad from Karim Nagar districts.   Congress party also finalizes its candidates’ names for MLC elections. It decide to contest for 8 seats from Ranga Reddy, Medak, Nalgonda, Warangal Karim Nagar, Mahaboob Nagar and Adhilabad. It’s high command clears the names of Damodhar Reddy, former ZPTC Chairman for Mahaboob Nagar, Chandrasekhar, former minister for Ranga Reddy, Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy former MP for Nalgonda districts.   Congress high command yet to clear the names of K Damodhar (Karim Nagar), Mahesh Reddy former MLA (Adhilabad), Bandaru Srikanath (Medak) J Raghava Reddy (Warangal), Venkata Ramana Reddy (Nizamabad) proposed by Telangana PCC. Congress party decides to extend its support to CPI candidate in Khammam district and accept TDP support to its candidate Rajagopal Reddy in Nalgonda district, which is phenomenal.   TDP and BJP not declared their party candidates names till now but they also may announce today or tomorrow. They are also prepared to take support from Congress party wherever necessary.

Ramoji Rao meets PM Narendra Modi!

  Eenadu Group Chairman Ramoji Rao meets Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Ministers Venkaiah Naidu, Radha Mohan Singh, Rajeev Prathap Rudy, Smrithi Irani, Mahesh Sharma and Kalraj Mishra on Monday. He takes pains to meet Prime Minister to explain about his Eenadu Group efforts in implementing Swachcha Bharat program in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states. He also briefed Prime Minister about multimedia program launched by his group. He asserted Prime Minister Modi that his media group will strive hard till the mission is accomplished.   But, political analysts believe there must be something else behind his frequent meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. They see his meetings with several Union Ministers is also very extraordinary as no other media group Chairman can have access to them so effortlessly.   Two interesting developments taken place after his last meeting with Prime Minister Modi. It brings Telangana Chief Minister KCR and Jagan Mohan Reddy to his Film City, who are known to be enemies. So, Swachcha Bharat may be an excuse to meet Prime Minister says political analysts. They suspect he met Union Ministers seeking their support to his multimedia project otherwise there is no reason for a media group chairman to meet so many ministers.

Death toll rises to 8 in spurious liquor case

  The death toll is gradually rising in spurious liquor case of Swarna Bar & Restaurant of M Hotel in Vijayawada. So far, eight people were died and equal number of people condition is reportedly very critical. Total 24 persons reportedly consumed this spurious liquor and all of them rushed to nearby government hospital.   Excise officials collected samples of the spurious liquor and seized the bar. AP Additional Director General of Police (Law and order) RP Thakur said “I came to know that two persons collapsed immediately in the bar after consuming the liquor, which is revealing the liquor supplied in the bar is spurious. Police are investigating the case. No one will be spared in this case.”   TDP, BJP and YSR Congress party leaders rushed to the spot after hearing this tragic news. AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that he will not spare whoever involved in this spurious liquor case. Jagan Mohan Reddy demands for judicial probe and compensation of Rs. 20 lakh to each victim’s family.   Former Congress party MLA Malladi Vishnu said that it is not his Bar as reported by a section of media. He admitted that it belongs to his relative. He said “I came to know that those who mixed mineral water in their drinks are found safe, but those used water from a water cooler in the bar reportedly affected. So, I suspect something poisonous was mixed in the water cooler. I have nothing to do with the bar. I demand for a thorough investigation and severe action against those involved in the heinous crime.”

Speaker Kodela announces AP Assembly sessions schedule

  Andhra Pradesh state assembly speaker Dr. Kodela Shiva Prasada Rao announces the state assembly winter sessions today. He said assembly sessions will begin from December 17th and will conclude on 22nd. This time also Assembly sessions will be held at Hyderabad. Actually, he proposed the government for construction of temporary buildings at Thullur for conducting assembly sessions, but Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu ruled out that proposal as he thought it would be waste of public money. Hence, this time also winter sessions will be conducted in the same premises in Hyderabad.

Congress can’t give counter to TRS?

Congress party leader Shabbir Ali accused ruling TRS party for playing mind games with his party by spreading rumors that Danam Nagendar is joining it. He said Congress party won’t succumb to its mind games. He said that his party has the ability to withstand such challenges. Shabbir Ali met Danam Nagendar on Monday morning to make sure he sticks to Congress party.   Danam Nagendar asserted him that he will strive hard to ensure victory for Congress party in the upcoming GHMC Elections. He complained that some leaders in the party are conspiring against him thus forcing him to think about leaving the party.   However, these dramatic developments and TRS mind games may create some negative impact on the party cadres in the twin cities and may badly affect Congress party electoral chances. But, it is very interesting to watch a national party like Congress is also very worried with the mind games played by a regional party like TRS and is unable to play counter for it. Congress party leaders have to put collective efforts like they did in the Warangal by elections.   TRS looks more confident after winning Warangal by elections, opposition parties appeared to be lost their self-confidence with their defeat. Hence they all have to adopt entirely new ideas to win the GHMC elections. Telangana TDP leaders are seeking their party’s national general secretary Nara Lokesh help for passing this GHMC acid test. It is clearly underlining that they lost their self-confidence. 

MLC Elections trigger fresh and ugly battle in TS

  The upcoming MLC elections in Telangana state triggered a fresh and ugly war between the ruling TRS and opposition parties. Opposition parties are blaming TRS for trying to attract their MPTCs and ZPTCs. They find fault with it for its plan to field 12 candidates when it has no strength to get them elected.   TRS is also accusing TDP and Congress party for making unholy pacts with each other to win the elections. TRS alleges that TDP and Congress party leaders have to come to secret understanding on seat sharing in the MLC elections. TRS leaders are quoting the statements made by Congress leaders Gutta Sukhender Reddy and K Jana Reddy, who said their party will join hands with TDP and any party to defeat ruling TRS party. TRS leaders allege that TDP leaders Revanth Reddy, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy had a secret meeting with PCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy, Working President Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka recently for this purpose.   But, if there is nothing wrong in TRS party attracting other parties’ leaders, then there is nothing wrong in opposition parties joining hands to defeat it. Ethics in politics can be expected only when the ruling party strictly follows it, but no when it ignores them. If, it crosses the line, then opposition parties also will be forced to cross that line.

Twin bomb blasts in Guwahati

  Two low intensity bombs blasts occurred in a heavily crowded fancy Bazar near Old Jail Road in Guwahati of Assam on Saturday afternoon at 3.30 pm. However, no one was killed or seriously injured. Two people minor injured have been rushed to nearby MMC Hospital. The bombs were placed in garbage bin near a sweet shop. Two bombs were exploded within seconds’ gap. Police and bomb squads reached the spot immediately. They found no bombs anywhere else. Forensic team collected evidences from the incident spot.

Foundation Stone laid for Flyovers in Vijayawada

  Transport, Nithin Gadkari, M Venkaiah Naidu, Chandrababu Naidu Union Minister for Surface Transport Nithin Gadkari has laid foundation stone for the flyover near Kanaka Durga Temple and at Benz Circle in Vijayawada on Saturday. These flyovers will be built with Rs. 453 crores out of it Centre will grant Rs.350 crores and rest of the amount by the state government. These flyovers are expected to complete within one year.   Nithin Gadkari explained about various projects to be started in the near future with the Central funds. “AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has good foresight for developing the state and Centre is ready to help for it as he is one of our good friends. He proposed to construct 180 km long ring road around Vijayawada for which Rs. 20, 000 crores are needed. Centre will grant full amount for it. He also proposed for construction of 1350 km long national highway with an estimated cost of Rs. 65, 000 crore and I will approve it. We can start construction works of these highway roads, once the state government completes land acquisition process and submits Detailed Project Report. I hope the works may begin from December next year," said Nithin Gadkari.   Union Ministers M Venkaiah Naidu, Sujana Chowdary, State Ministers Prattipati Pulla Rao, Siddaa Raghava Rao, Chinna Rajappa, Dr. Kamineni Srinivas, Devineni Uma Maheshwara Rao, BJP state president K Hari Babu, MPs Kesineni Nani, Gokaraju Ganga Raju, MLAs K Satyanarayana, B Uma, G Mohan and many others attended this foundation stone laying ceremony today.

Can Chandrababu afford to attend Chandiyagam?

    People of AP and Telangana states felt very happy for their Chief Ministers Chandrababu Naidu and KCR somehow patched up their differences after Amaravati Foundation stone laying ceremony. Telangana Chief Minister KCR declared that he is going to invite his counterpart Chandrababu Naidu for Ayutha Chandiyagam to be performed by him in this month. So, it looks all is well at the end, but not exactly.   Although, Chandrababu Naidu is trying to uphold their friendship by all means, TRS Chief KCR is not upholding it for their friendship sake. Chandrababu Naidu skipped campaigning in Warangal by elections for their friendship sake. He is also prepared to ignore his role in the upcoming MLC and GHMC elections for the same purpose.   But, TRS Chief KCR clinches TDP MLA Sayanna and is also planning to clinch many more in the next one month period before GHMC elections. He knew that it will upset his new friend Chandrababu Naidu, but seems not minding at all. Unlike Chandrababu Naidu, KCR appears to be giving more importance for winning GHMC elections rather than upholding their friendship. In this context, he creates an embarrassing situation for Chandrababu Naidu to decide whether to accept his invitation or not.   If he attends it, then he would be giving a wrong message to his party cadre in Telangana state that he prefer to maintain friendship with CM KCR rather than party interests in the state. It would be really annoying for them to watch their Boss is rubbing shoulders with CM KCR, who clinches their MLA Sayanna and against whom they are fighting now. Hence, if he attends this Chandiyagam certainly it will upset them all. Moreover, Chandrababu Naidu also has to face a very embarrassing situation there, when he faces some TRS leaders, who are still continuing as his party MLAs.   This situation seems to be exactly replica of YSR Congress party situation in Telangana state. It also lost two MLAs to TRS party, yet Jagan Mohan Reddy supported TRS party in the MLC elections held in June this year. Then, TDP leaders strongly criticized him for joining hands with TRS. So, YSR Congress party also may repeat the same question to Chandrababu Naidu, if he attends Chandiyagam.   Even if, Chandrababu Naidu ignores Chief Minister KCR’s invitation and skips the Chandiyagam, then also he will find himself at receiving end. TRS may highlight this point to gain political mileage in the upcoming elections. Its leaders may campaign that Chandrababu Naidu insults the people of Telangana state by rejecting KCR’s invitation, whereas their Chief Minister KCR humbly accepts Chandrababu Naidu’s invitation and attends Amaravati foundation stone function. So, KCR’s invitation to Chandrababu Naidu is not a matter of joy but a matter of dilemma.
