Make my dad PM if want alliance with us: Akhilesh

  There was a time, when Congress party used to twist the hands of Samajwadi, Bahujan Samajwadi, RJD parties and their leaders’ hands using its CBI instrument. But, the time has changed and it is roaming around the regional parties seeking alliance. Now, they are dictating terms and conditions to Congress party. Its alliance with Janata Parivar in Bihar Assembly elections and settling for just 40 seats is a fine example for it.   Today, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has made a proposal to Congress party and it may be very shocking for it. He said “If Congress party is agrees to make my father Mulayam Singh Yadav as Prime Minister our party is ready to make alliance with it right now. If it agrees for our proposal, then we will make Rahul Gandhi as Deputy Prime Minister.”   Akhilesh Yadav puts Congress party in such an embarrassing situation that it neither can says yes or no to his proposal. It can’t say yes because it is against Sonia Gandhi’s ambition. Moreover, it will be admitting that Congress party settles for anything and can be taken for granted. It would be also admitting that Rahul Gandhi can’t become Prime Minister on his own strength. So, it can’t say yes to Akhilesh Yadav’s proposal.   At the same time, it can’t plainly say no also because Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections are scheduled for 2016. Since, Congress party can’t win the Assembly elections on its own, it badly need a tie up with either ruling Samajwadi Party or BSP in the opposition. Naturally, ruling party often has edge over the opposition parties in any elections. It was proved in Bihar and many places. So, Congress party has to shake hands with Samajwadi Party to pocket few seats in the state. If so, it has to accpet to Akhilesh Yadav's proposal, which is very hard for it to think about such proposals. It also badly needs ruling party help for passing in the next Lok Sabha elections. So, Congress party has to say yes to Akhilesh Yadav’s proposal. But, can’t say yes also.

Danam to join TRS on Monday

  Former minister and Hyderabad city party president Danam Nagendar finally put an end to speculations about his migration into TRS party. He is leaving Congress party and joining TRS party on Monday in the presence of Telangana Chief Minister KCR. He took the help of former PCC President D Srinivas for it, who already boarded TRS ship few months ago. Danam reportedly bargained for Hyderabad Mayor Post, but TRS leadership doesn’t agree for it as it was already promised to someone else.   Actually, Congress party prepared to suspend him from party yesterday. This matter was discussed during crucial meeting held at Gandhi Bhavan yesterday presided by PCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy. But, they postponed the decision after Danam Nagendar asserted that he will continue in the party. But now, Congress party has no reason to wait for taking action against him. However, his departure just ahead of GHMC elections would be a big blow for the party.   Congress MP Gutta Sukhender Reddy reacting on this defection suggested that TRS government should create an “Operation Akarsha” portfolio and allot it to minister Jagadiswar Reddy. He said TRS is virtually killing the democracy with its elections strategies of attracting other parties’ leaders into party.

Pakistani national involved in shootout at San Bernardino?

  The shootout that took the lives of 14 people at inland regional center in San Bernardino of California on December 1st was initially suspected as an attack by some local anti-social elements. But, the US police found that one of the involved in the attack is a Pakistani national and a woman. Her name is Tasheen Malik.   She holds Pakistani passport. She was in Saudi Arabia before coming to US. Police found that her husband Sayyed Farooq is a US citizen, but his ancestors migrated from south Asia long back. They couple took part in this brutal attack on inland regional service center, where disabled people are given counseling and medical help. US agencies are trying to find out full details of Tasheen Malik and Sayyed Farooq.

Justice TS Thakur takes oath as CJI on Thursday

  Justice TS Thakur takes oath as 43rd Chief Justice of India today as CJI HL Dattu retires yesterday. President Pranab Mukherjee administered his oath in Rashtrapathi Bhavan. Justice TS Thakur will serve as CJI till January 3, 2017.   Justice Teerth Singh Thakur begins his professional career a pleader in October 1972. Later, he practiced in J&K state high court, where he gained good knowledge in Civil, Criminal, Constitutional Service and Taxation matters. In 1990, he was given as senior advocate in the same court. He was appointed as Additional Judge of the state high court in 1994.   Later, he was transferred to Karnataka high court as Judge in the same year. He was transferred to Delhi high court in 2004. Later he served as Acting Chief justice of Delhi high court in 2008. He was elevated as Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court in 2008. Again, he was elevated as Supreme Court judge in 2009 and he becomes Chief Justice of India today.

TRS begins operation Akarsha for GHMC elections

  TRS begins operation Akarsha keeping in view of upcoming GHMC elections. Already it has attracted many TDP and Congress leaders in the last 18 months into the party for the same purpose and ropes in TDP MLA Sayanna, Congress party MLC MS Prabhakar today. Congress party’s city president Danam Nagendar is also giving strong signals for leaving the party. He skips a crucial meeting held at Gandhi Bhavan today presided by PCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy intended for discussing about GHMC elections. He is also said to be conducting a meeting with his followers today to discuss whether to continue in the party or to leave and join TRS party. However, he is still condemning the media reports and his party leaders’ allegations about his plans for leaving the party. While admitting that he met Telangana Chief Minister KCR, he is stating that there is nothing to suspect in it.   There were reports in media stating that former minister Geeta Reddy is also planning to join TRS soon. However, she condemns the reports. BJP MLA Raja Singh, who is revolting against party state president Kishan Reddy is also said to be planning to jump fence into TRS party. Probably, many names may surface in this defectors list during the next two-three weeks period. TRS may be happy for able to rope in senior leaders of other parties. It may be happy if wins the GHMC elections. But, isn’t losing its own identity and turning into a hybrid party.

Eat beef in your homes not in university campus: Dy.CM

  If political leaders try to politicize some ordinary issue or stir controversy to gain some political mileage it can be understood, because they are made for it. But, two students’ groups of Osmania University stirring controversy over conducting beef and pork festivals in the campus can’t be justified as they are supposed to concentrate on their studies to achieve their goals in lives.   A group of students prepared to conduct beef festival and another group of the same university sharply reacting to their announcement said they will conduct pork festival in the campus. Perhaps, this is not what expected from the OU students, but the political parties behind may be using the hot blooded students as their pawns in their political chess games.   Telangana deputy Chief Minister Mahmoud Ali sensing troubles asked the students to focus their attention on their studies rather than on silly things like these. He suggested them to eat beef in their homes or in wedding functions but not in the OU campus. He asked both student groups to maintain peace in the campus.

Sania Mirza gives shock to MP Government

  Tennis star Sania Mirza gives a big shock to Madhya Pradesh government. She put it a lengthy wish list to grace a sports even to be held at Bhopal on November 28th. When she was contacted by Sports Minister of the state Yashodhara Raje Scindia, she accepted her invitation to grace the sports event as chief guest. She asked the minister to contact her manager for finalizing the schedule.   Later, officials of the sports ministry contacted Sania Mirza’s manager. He left them in deep shock as he read out a lengthy list of demands for Sania Mirza attendance. Sania Mirza needs to be paid Rs. 5 lakhs as fee for attending the event. A charted plane is to be provided for her. Rs.75, 000 per day need to be paid as fee for her makeup artists. In addition to this, MP government has to pay separate fee for her five assistants. Of course accommodation for her and her staff members is expected to be provided in a five star hotel.   Sports Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia, once again called Sania Mirza and asked her to ignore her invitation as MP government can’t afford such a costly player. Later, she invites former badminton star and coach P Gopichand, who happily agreed to be part of the event. MP Government has to reschedule the sports event to December 1st following the dramatic events. It was conducted at TT Stadium, Bhopal on Tuesday with P Gopichand as it chief guest.

Rajiv killers can’t be released: SC

  A five-judge bench headed by Chief Justice H L Dattu of the Supreme Court strongly objected Tamilnadu government’s decision of considering mercy petitions filed by murderers of Rajiv Gandhi, who were convicted with life term. The apex court stated on Wednesday that states can’t take such decisions nor have powers for it. It stated that states have power to grant remission, but they cannot exercise it suo motu. Only Central government has the right to grant remission to convicts in cases handled by Central agencies like CBI.   Earlier on 2014, February 20th Tamilnadu state government decides to release three convicts-Murugan, Santhan and Arivu, whose death sentence had been commuted to life term by it. Later, it also planned to release four other convicts- Nalini, Robert Pious, Jayakumar and Ravichandran. But, the apex court stayed their releases. Today, the court categorically stated that they can’t be released without obtaining permission from Central government.   Responding to the apex court’s notices, Central government made it clear that the killers of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi did not deserve any mercy. They need to face the punishment accorded to them by the apex court as they all took part in the assassination conspired by a foreign national. Rajeev Gandhi was brutally assassinated on May 21, 1991 in Sri Perumbudur, Tamil Nadu, by suicide bomber belongs to LTTE militant group. .

Vundavalli batting for YSRCP, but hesitating to jon it?

  Former MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar has been batting for YSR Congress party for quite a long time but he is hesitating to join it until now. Perhaps, Jagan Mohan Reddy’s CBI and ED track records may be stopping him from joining YSR Congress party. If, he is not sure about joining it, then his statements should match with some other party in which he plans to join. But, he prefers to bat for YSR Congress party, thus hinting that he may join it in future, if everything goes well with the party.   He strongly criticized Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday. He summoned a press conference at Rajahmundry and blasted ruling TDP government in it over Bauxite mining. He said, “Government is misguiding the people with its ‘white paper’ on Bauxite mining in Visakha Agency area. It is a fake document contains false and inaccurate information. Government should release a genuine document if it is really honest on this particular issue."   "It is incorrect to blame former Chief Minister late Dr. Rajashekhar Reddy over this issue. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is also aware that Dr. Rajashekar Reddy proceeds ahead on Bauxite mining only after due consultations with all political parties in the state. Then, Chandrababu Naidu opposed his proposal and the same person has issued GO for Bauxite mining now. Instead of blaming previous government, Chandrababu Naidu should come up with the facts on Bauxite mining,” said Vundavalli Arun Kumar.

MLC elections notification will be released today

  Notification for MLC elections for filling up 2 seats in Ranga Reddy district under local bodies’ quota will be issued today by the state elections commission. Nominations will be accepted from today. Last date for filing nominations is December 9th. Elections will be held on December 27th. Results will be declared on December 30th. Local MLAs, MPTC, ZPTC, Municipal councilors can cast their vote in these MLC elections.   Elections will be held with ballet papers. Each voter has to vote for two candidates in these elections and has to mention their priorities. EC will declare the winners based on their priority votes. JC Amrapali has been appointed as returning officer and DRO Dharma Reddy as assisting officer.   There are total 769 voters including 612 MPTCs and majority of them are with Congress party. However, ruling TRS party managed to attract many of them during recent time. Congress party and TDP have decide to contest one seat each and co-operate with each other to make sure win these two seats of the district. Congress, TDP and TRS have not finalized their candidates yet. They may declare the names today or tomorrow.

Anna comes to Arvind Kejriwal’s rescue

  Delhi government lead by Arvind Kejriwal has introduced Jan Lok Pal Bill in Delhi assembly on Monday for debate and approval. While, AAP former leader Prasanth Bhushan and few others described it as a ‘Joke Pal Bill’, Congress and BJP also take a dig at Kejriwal’s government over it.   Quite unexpectedly, veteran social activist Anna Hazare comes to Arvind Kejriwal’s rescue today. He welcomed Arvind Kejriwal government introducing Jan Lok Sabha Pal Bill in the assembly. He suggested some changes in the panel members of the Jan Lok Pal Committee. Arvind Kejriwal government has proposed a five members committee comprising Chief Minister, the main opposition leader, Chief Justice of Delhi high court, Speaker and one individual.   Anna Hazare suggested there should be total seven members including two social activists. Arvind Kejriwal thanked his mentor Anna Hazare for giving his blessings to his government and for extending his support to the bill. Kejriwal said that his government will implement his suggestions.

Modi returns to India for his cloths washing: Tejaswi Yadav

  Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Prasad Yadav appears to be wants to follow the foot prints of his father Lalu Prasad Yadav, who is popular for his punch dialogues. Tejaswi Prasad Yadav chooses none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his first punching practice.   He said “Narendra Modi returns to India only when he needs dry wash of his clothes otherwise he continues his foreign tours endlessly. He should know that people have elected him for ruling the country and not for touring foreign countries. He should focus his attention on development of the country rather than touring abroad.”   Although, it is too early for him to take upon Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he chooses this shortcut to become popular in the state quickly and to project himself as a matured politician. His father Lalu Prasad Yadav, who declares him as his political successor may be guiding him. But, if he chooses to follow the foot prints of his father Lalu Prasad Yadav, he may also face the same fate of him one day in future. Instead, he should train himself under Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who is known as clean and excellent ruler.

Nalgonda TDP leaders differ on district headquarters

  Lack of co-ordination between TDP leaders of Nalgonda district is clearly seen with their different arguments on one issue. Soon after Telangana government decides to reorganize and carve 11 new districts in the state TDP senior leader Motkupalli Narasimhulu has started an agitation demanding for a new district with Yadadri as headquarters from the existing Nalgonda district. He sat for one day hunger strike on Tuesday. Telangana state party president L Ramana and some other leaders of the party expressed their solidarity for his deeksha.   But, Uma Madhav Reddy from the same district is demanding that new district should be carved with Nalgonda as its headquarters. He said “It is not correct to take individual stands in the party on certain issues. Reorganization of districts is intended to provide ease of governance and convenience for the people but not for anyone’s personal interests.” TDP leaders are entertaining the ruling TRS party with their cat fights over this issue and are also providing scope for it to take advantage of their differences.

Kishan Reddy must go: BJP MLA

  It seems, Warangal by elections have created a rift between Telangana BJP leaders with the defeat of their party candidate Dr. Devaiah. One of its MLA Raja Singh, who is representing Ghosha Mahal constituency, strongly criticizes Telangana state party president Kishan Reddy today.   He alleges that Kishan Reddy is not allowing anyone to emerge as strong leaders in the party. He fails to campaign about various development and welfare programs implemented by the Modi government. “In fact, Kishan Reddy becomes a wall for BJP growth in the Telangana state. Hence, he should be removed immediately,” said Raja Singh. He told the media that he wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi informing about the party situation in the state and Kishan Reddy’s negligence in strengthening the party.   BJP manage to take Warangal seat from its ally TDP, but it couldn’t find equally capable candidate to face the ruling and rival parties’ candidates. Kishan Reddy’s decision of fielding Dr. Devaiah proved to be very wrong and it makes the job much easier for the ruling TRS party. His decision is also strengthening Raja Singh’s argument about not allowing the second and third rank leaders to emerge as strong leaders in the party.

Foundation stone for Kanakadurga Flyover on Dec.5

  Union minister for surface transport Nithin Gadkari will lay foundation stone for flyover near Kanakadurga temple in Vijayawada city on December 5th at 9am, declared Vijayawada TDP MP Kesineni Nani today. He said the flyover will be built with an estimated cost of Rs.464 crores. Centre has granted Rs.350 crores as its share and the state government will pay the balance amount. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu asked the officials to make sure the flyover is ready for use before Krishna Pushkarams next year. Construction works are likely to begin soon after foundation stone is laid.

MLA died before taking oath!

  Basanth Kumar, who was elected from Harlakhi constituency during recent assembly elections in Bihar, died on Monday with heart attack. He is supposed to take oath as MLA of Bihar assembly today along with other MLAs, but unfortunately died on the same day. He is one out of two MLAs elected from RSL party of Union Minister Ramvilas Paswan. He won the elections in his very first attempt but unfortunately died. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, ministers and the newly elected legislatures expressed shock and grief for his death. Bihar assembly adjourned to tomorrow.

No home minister can continue after stating so?

  NDA government wants to pass 36 important bills including its prestigious GST bill during this ongoing winter sessions. However, parliament is rocking with arguments and counter arguments on the growing religious intolerance in the country. As if it is not enough, CPM MP Mohammad Salim stirs fresh trouble with his remarks made against Home Minister Rajnath Singh.   He alleges that Rajnath Singh reportedly said “a Hindu had come to power after 800 years.” Obviously Rajnath Singh strongly objected him for making baseless allegations on him. He challenged Salim to prove his allegations are true or apologize for it. Rajnath Singh said “This is a very serious allegation. I think no home minister should continue after making such a comment. In my parliamentary career, I am hurt for the first time.”   Salim replied that he didn’t come out of a RSS meeting to acknowledge the remarks. He said that he quoted this taking clue from a news magazine. Hence, he suggested the home minister to take legal action against the news magazine, if he hurts with the remarks. Lok Sabha adjourned for a while as tensions shoots up with their arguments and counter arguments. Later, when the house reassembled the discussion shifts on to growing intolerance in the country rather than debating on crucial bills.

Kancha Ilaiah controversial remarks against Saradar Patel

  Writer, Dalit activist professor Kancha Ilaiah has triggered a fresh controversy with his rude remarks against India’s first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister late Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel.   Speaking at the Times Lit Fest held at New Delhi on Sunday, “If, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel becomes Prime Minister of the country, certainly he would turn the country into a Hindu country as he has strong faith in Hinduism. He wouldn’t allow Dr. Ambedkar to write constitution of India and there would be no democracy now in the country now. India would emerge as a Hindu nation just the way Pakistan emerges as Muslim nation after its independence,” said Ilaiah.   Obviously, people across the country are criticizing him as he hurts their feelings with his rude remarks against the noble person, who made merger of Hyderabad in India possible with his timely decision and action. These days, scholars like Ialaih are catching media and people’s attention for wrong reasons like this. Kancha Ilaiah may aware that his remarks against Sardar Patel won’t do any good for him or for the country, instead it hurts the people and may create some unexpected problems.

BSF Personnel arrested for involving in espionage racket

  Delhi Crime Branch police arrested BSF security personnel named Abdula Rasheed on Sunday in Jammu Railway Station, while he was boarding a train for Bhopal. He was arrested for allegedly trading confidential information to Pakistan Intelligence through its local handler Kafaitullah Khan alias Master Raja. Police recovered some confidential documents from Abdul Rasheed. Later, they also arrested Kafaitullah Khan. Police filed charges under various sections of IPC and Official Act for allegedly involving in espionage racket.   Abdul Rasheed is serving as a head constable in BSF intelligence wing at Rajouri in Jammu & Kashmir state. Kafaitullah Khan is also belongs to the same district. Delhi crime branch police are suspecting that some security personnel and some civilians in other parts of the country are also engaged in this espionage racket. Police are expecting to break their network with these two persons arrest.
