Sanjay Dutt seeks more time to surrender

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who was asked to surrender before the TADA Court on or before April 18th to undergo 3.5 years jail term in connection with illegal arms case, has filed a petition in Supreme Court today asking for more time to surrender himself. He appealed the court to grant few more days’ time until the Maharashtra Governor takes a decision on his mercy petition. He assured the court to surrender, if his mercy petition is rejected by the Governor. However, he doesn't applied for mercy on his own, but several others, including MP Jayaprada wrote letters to Governor appealing on his behalf. According to reports, his petition may come before court tomorrow.
