Negotiations between RTC employees and Transport Minister Botsa Satyanarayana are currently taking place at Hyderabad. During their previous meeting with the Minister, they told him that they are ready to discontinue the strike, if the government is ready to merge the RTC into it as one of its department. Then the minister asks for time to think about their proposal. Hence, today’s meeting is very significant.

However, since the state is ready for division, Botsa may not be able assure them for their demand. But, the month long strike weakens the financial position of the RTC employees. The High Court warnings to NGOs may also have its influence on the RTC employees to compromise with the government and withdraw from strike. In such case, it is going to crack the month long AP NGOs indefinite strike and may oblige the other unions to sit for negotiations with the government.
