CBI will file a counter to Jagan Mohan Reddys bail petition on September 18. The Kadapa MP had on september 11 moved the special CBI court seeking bail on the ground that the four-month deadline set by the Supreme Court for completion of investigation by the CBI into the case against him ended on September 9.In the bail plea, filed through his counsel, Jagan said that in view of the ongoing agitation in coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions regarding bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, there was a need for him to be with the people and lead the stir as a leader of a political party.
CBI has been opposing Kadapa MP's bail on the pretext that he will tamper with evidence using his "muscle power and money power."
However with Congress in a political doldrums in state post CWC decision on state bifurcation political class has been hinting at possible talks of deals between Congress and YSRCP. While Jagan's bail being a contentious part of the deal. With the allegations of CBI playing at the tunes of Congress, It is now to wait and watch as to what would be CBI's strategy while filing the counter to Jagan's bail.
