Jayaprada, just a typical politician

Veteran actress and former Samajwadi party MP Jayaprada confirms that she is joining the BJP very soon. She said “I am not expecting any posts in the party or in the government. I will serve as a loyal and disciplined party worker. I am inspired with Modi’s working style and so joining the BJP.”   Jayaprada has perfectly repeated the standard statement that any politician will make on such occasions. But, people are aware how desperately she has tried to return to TDP or join the Congress party during elections period. She met AICC President Sonia Gandhi also for this purpose and got nod for her admission into the party. But, later she dropped the idea of joining the Congress party after foreseeing its poor electoral chances in the AP state and her decision was proved to be wise.   Actually, Jayaprada and Kiran Bedi have met the BJP president Amit Shah at New Delhi on the same day two weeks ago. Both the ladies have told him that they can take upon AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal. Then a section of the media was abuzz with the reports that BJP may declare Jayaprada as its CM Candidate for Delhi. However, BJP has picked Kiran Bedi instead of Jayaprada after carefully weighing their strengths and negative points. Perhaps, Jayaprada may be disappointed with BJP’s decision and so prolonged her decision until now.   But, she is confirming this news after realizing that she has no other options except joining the BJP and so is she joining it. However, she is still taking some time for it because she is expecting the BJP to offer her one post or the other. All her moves prove that she is a typical politician and nothing special.

Secretariat Vasthu is very bad!

Telangana CM KCR has finally opened up about his special interest in applying Vasthu rules and regulations to the government buildings. He made the cabinet approve his proposal of shifting Secretariat to a new building to be constructed at Erragadda with an estimated cost of Rs.150 crores, where Chest and mental diseases hospitals are situated.   If seen the media reports it is understood that Telangana state cabinet is endorsing CM KCR’s views on Vasthu. Minister K Taraka Rama rao said that Vasthu of the present Secretariat building is very bad and very harmful to the state interests if the government uses it. So, cabinet has approved CM KCR’s proposal to build a new Secretariat building at Erragadda. He said it is for the sake of administrative convenience and nothing else. However, mentioning Vasthu problems to the present Secretariat is clearly hinting about the actual reason for its decision.   Replying to a media question, he said state government will take appropriate decision in its next cabinet meeting about what to do with the present Secretariat building. Perhaps, he may be trying to buy some time for his government to announce the decision that was already decided. Media is abuzz with the reports that the present Secretariat building will be demolished and a new high rise building will be constructed in its place.   The present Secretariat building is accommodating both Andhra and Telangana governments’ offices. AP government is permitted to operate from there for next 9.6 years. If so, the Telangana government has to consult the AP government before going ahead with its plans. Otherwise, a fresh dispute may trigger between both governments on this matter also.

Vundavalli gets invitation from Jagan?

Some reports appeared in the media stating that Jagan Mohan Reddy is trying to rope-in former Congress MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar into his YSR Congress party. He turned blind eye on him, when launched his party because then many leaders from all political parties have queued up to join his party. But, now the situation is very different. All those joined earlier are again leaving the party due ill treatment by Jagan Mohan Reddy. BJP is also concentrating its focus on the Congress and YSR Congress party to strengthen itself in the AP state.   So, he is reportedly trying to rope-in Vundavalli into his party, who has excellent communication skills and contacts with all senior leaders of Congress party. Vundavalli alleges that NDA government has cheated the AP State by taking ‘U’ turn on according special status to the state and he gets a fitting reply from the BJP senior leader Somu Veeraju for it. Vundavalli’s remarks are underlining a point that he is not going to join BJP or it’s alliance partner TDP.   So, whether he will join the YSRCP or not, his remarks made against NDA government hints that there is scope for his joining. Since, the Congress party future in the state is hanging in the air, no surprise if he accepts Jagan Mohan Reddy’s invitation into his party. If, he joins YSRCP, he may expect Jagan treat him as god father, because of the close relations he had with his father late YS Rajashekar Reddy. However, any such decision may be proved politically suicidal for him, because many leaders, who joined the YSRCP were forced to quit the party in an unceremonious way, because of ill treatment given by Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Anna Hazare to take revenge on his followers?

The anti-corruption crusader-Anna Hazare said that both his followers Aravind Kejriwal and Kiran Bedi have joined active politics without giving a slightest hint about their intentions. So, he believes that they both have betrayed him. He said that he will continue his fight against corruption alone, whether anyone comes along with him or not. According to latest reports, he is said to be gearing for a fresh agitations very soon.   This time it would be for bringing black money from the foreign countries, which means a straight fight with Narendra Modi, who promised for it during his elections campaigning. Modi government has announced only three names, who have black money accounts in the foreign banks, under pressure from the Congress party. Later, his government has submitted a lengthy list of black money account holders to the Supreme Court. Ever since, there is no word about bringing black money to India or taking action against those in the list. So, this is providing ample scope for Anna Hazare to draw swords on Modi government.   If sources are to be believed, he may sit for a hunger strike soon after the verdict of Delhi Assembly Elections comes out. If, Kiran Bedi or Arvind Kejriwal comes to power, then it would be very difficult and embarrassing for them to handle him. Being his loyal followers, they can’t force him to discontinue his hunger strike or can allow him to continue it. So, if Anna Hazare sits for a hunger strike, he may be taking sweet revenge on either of his followers.

T-Cong. leaders’ cat-fights blessing for TRS

T-Congress might have forgotten that they were asked to do team work by Party political affairs in-charge Digvijay Singh just few days back. So far, they are fighting with their PCC President Ponnala Lakshmaiah. They are demanding him to step down.   Now, a fresh fight triggered between Hyderabad city Congress President Danam Nagendar and former minister Marri Shashidhar Reddy. Marri Shashidhar Reddy alleges that Danam Nagendar is planning to jump into TRS very soon and so he is staying away from the party activities. So, he takes initiative for the sake of the party. He and some other leaders along with PCC President Ponnala Lakshmaiah have met Governor Narasimhan today to submit a memorandum on housing scheme proposing by Telangana government.   Danam Nagendar fumes upon Shashidhar Reddy and Ponnala for not informing about their program. He said “They seem do not want me to stay in the party. Otherwise how can they conduct such programs on their own without my knowledge? Ponnala should be blamed for this. He is taking instant decisions and running the party aimlessly. Marri Shashidhar Reddy appears to be thinking that he becomes a big leader after making few rounds to Delhi. Actually, he is a disaster in the party. He never tried to strengthen the party, instead he is encouraging groups’ formation in the party. Whether they want me or not, I will continue in the Congress party till my last breathe. I am accountable to party President Sonia Gandhi only.”   Their fight reveals there is no coordination between the leaders. TRS may feel blessed for it as it wants to win the GHMC elections this time.

CM KCR plans to shift to Secretariat to Erragadda

Telangana CM KCR’s plan to build a new high rise building for the state secretariat at Erragadda, where Chest dieses hospital and mental dieses hospitals are situated is getting mixed response from political circles and the employees.   BJP leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy describes KCR’s ruling as Tuglak Ruling. He said “CM KCR is acting like a monarch and taking unilateral decisions. It is meaningless idea to believe that the state can attract huge investments if constructed high rise building in Hyderabad. CM KCR should convene an all-party meeting and take the suggestions from opposition parties, if his government has any plans to shift the Chest and Mental hospitals from their present locations to anywhere else.”   Some employees’ union leaders and TRS party leaders are supporting his decision, but doctors and other staff of both hospitals are strongly opposing state government’s move. However, CM KCR is determined to go ahead with its plan. His government has granted Rs. 7.7 crore for repairs and renovation of the sanatorium in Ananthagiri Hills in Vikarabad of Rangareddy district to where the Chest diseases hospital will be shifted very soon.   Telangana government plans to utilize 65 acres of prime land that belongs to Chest diseases hospital and 45 acres of prime land that belongs to mental diseases hospital for constructing a high rise building to accommodate its secretariat, Chief Minister’s office, various state government offices etc. under one roof. It is also planning to develop state owned parade ground in this location to conduct public meetings, Republic day functions etc.   Simultaneously, it plans to dispose the land where secretariat is stood now to enable the buyers build a high rise building in its place. However, CM KCR might be ignoring a point that the existing secretariat building is accommodating AP government also and part of the building will remain under its control for the next 9.5 years.

Madhavaram, Krishnaiah packed-up to join TRS

TDP president Chandrababu Naidu has managed to keep his party intact in Telangana during the peak of crisis situation, but not after bifurcation of the state. Hence, many of his leaders are queuing-up to join ruling TRS party and most of them allege that they are leaving the party only because they do not get due respect for their services to the party.   However, it is not a secret that they are shifting their loyalties just to safeguard their political interests. All of they are joining TRS party only because it is in power otherwise they would have joined BJP or some other party. In fact, they couldn’t stop themselves from being tempted with ruling TRS party offers. However, whoever is leaving the party utters the same old excuse as if they believe people couldn’t understand the intentions behind their moves.   TDP MLAs Madhavaram Krishna Rao from Kukatpalli and R Krishnaiah from LB Nagar both are ready to leave the party with same excuses. Ultimately, their destination is also ruling TRS party. Nara Lokesh has tried to convince them, but they both have already made-up their minds. So, it is just a matter of a day or two hear the official announcement.   However, all those MLAs and leaders joining the ruling TRS party should realize that they may not get any special treatment unless they are worth for it. They should also realize that they may meet with similar fate of its Deputy Chief Minister T Rajaiah, if found fault.
