T-issue boomerangs at Congress and TRS
There were times, when TDP was cornered on the Telangana issue. Then, both TRS and Congress used to blame the TDP and its president Chandrababu for turning hurdle in Telangana process. But now the situation is totally different. Now, the Congress and TRS parties are in fix with the same problem, while TDP is sitting cool and watching the show.
While the state Congress leaders are virtually divided into two groups and are crossing swords with each other on the issue, the high command is in dilemma whether to oblige CM Kiran Kumar Reddy’s argument for Samaikyandhra or go for separate state succumbing to pressures from its T-leaders. If, it opts for creating separate state, then it has to face the same kind of demands from Ghorka Land, Vidarbha etc. If, keeps the state united, then it has to be prepared to loose the 2014 elections battle.
TRS is also struck with its promise of merging with Congress party on a precondition of granting Telangana. Now, it can’t afford to merge with it nor it can’t deny it. If, it merges with Congress, then it not only looses its identity but also loose the chance of ruling the new state. If, it won’t merge with Congress now, then it has to carry on with the blame of obstructing Telangana state formation at its final stage.
Although, KCR has made it clear that he doesn’t want to merge his party in Congress, it is learnt both parties are busy bargaining on the merger issue.
While, both these parties locked-up with different issues, TDP is happily doing its business. TDP is just waiting for the outcome on the issue so as to take appropriate steps.
