Pleasant surprise for Vijayamma

  It was a pleasant surprise for YSR Congress party honorary president Vijayamma to receive a phone call from West Bengal CM Mamata Benarji, who asked her to join hands with her party to work at national level. She predicted that general elections will be held in November this year. Mamata also asked about the status Jagan Mohan Reddy’s cases.   Vijayamma, who is quite happy with this unpredicted friendship from the country’s one of the most powerful woman leader Mamata, has positively responded to her proposal but said will confirm the same after talking to party president Jagan Mohan Reddy.   Already there are UPA and NDA alliances struggling to retain power ion the Center with the help of small and regional parties. TDP president Chandrababu is talking about forming a 3rd Front with Left parties and some other regional parties to create alternative to both these alliances. Now, Mamata and Mayawati are also keen to play vital role at center. If, these two ladies will join hands and invite Vijayamma into their group, then their next target will be Tamilnadu CM Jaya Lalitha, who is looking for an alliance at national level. Since, her rival Karunanidhi join hands with Congress led UPA, she may prefer to join this women force. If, these women could join hands, then they may prove to be another alternative to UPA, NDA and 3rd Front.

Mayawati in PM race

  Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati has announced that she too is in PM post race. She announced this during a meeting held with Brahmin community in Uttar Pradesh. She flayed Modi for being narrow minded in extending help to Uttarakhand victims. She asked how a so narrow minded man, who thinks that Gujaratis only needed the help, can be entrusted with Prime Minister Post? She has declared that she is far better than anyone else including Modi as she is very broad minded to think about all sections, regions and religious people as her own people. She has announced that her party will allot 21 Lok Sabha seats to Brahmin community to maintain social balance in her party.   Mayawati is giving external support to Congress led UPA government. But, she was subjected to CBI inquires in several cases including Taj Corridor, public money misuse in erecting thousands of statues of Elephant (party symbol) all over the state. Hence, she is in bad terms with Congress party. Her latest announcement hints that she would like to snap ties with Congress party, if she finds a new platform that ensures her PM post.

YSRCP struck with its MLAs’ resignation

  The Congress idea of separating two districts from Rayalaseema and merging them in Telangana to form Rayala Telangana has received a firm resistance from all both regions. Rayalaseema Parirakshana Samithi president Byreddy Rajashekar Reddy even staged a 52 hours hunger strike at Hyderabad, protesting Congress idea. He demands that if division of the state is inevitable, then made it three states-Andhra, Rayalaseema and Telangana but not as two-Andhra and Rayala Telangana.   YSRCP understood that Congress is cooking this crooked idea to weaken it in its strong hold area. So, it is also firmly opposing the Congress idea. Although, YSR Congress party is favoring a united state, it is not in a position to assert the same or even can’t oppose Telangana state formation for the sake party interests in both regions. So, it is simply opposing separating the two districts from Rayalaseema to form Rayala Telangana, but kept silent on bifurcation of the state.   But, today three of its MLAs and two MLCs have resigned to their posts in favor of Samaikyandhra. MLAs Srikanth Reddy, Adinarayana Reddy, Srinivasulu and MLCs Pullaiah and Narayana Reddy, who had a meeting at Kadapa today, have announced their decision of resigning to their posts. They demand the government drop the idea of dividing the state and let the state remain united.   However their decision of opposing bifurcation of the state may create an embarrassing situation for YSRCP in Telangana region in wake of Panchayat elections to be held soon. This is going to provide a weapon to TRS party to foil YSRCP attempts to enter Telangana region.

TRS upset with media analysis on party leadership

  The media reports and its analysis on TRS leadership, post-Digvijay Singh announcement on Telangana creation, worry its leaders very much. They afraid it may show adverse affects on the party in upcoming Panchayat elections. Hence, before it makes any further damage to the party, its leaders like KTR, Etela Rajendar takes defense position and uses the same old technique of branding ‘Seemandhra media’ to scrap their reports and political analysis on the prevailing situation of the TRS.   Etela speaking to media at Mehaboobabad yesterday has said “During these ten years of agitations, KCR has never lost his fighting spirits and never give-up his agitations. He is not greedy of power or posts. He has never fall weak and never afraid of anyone. But, the Seemandhra owned media is cooking stories against him stating that his chapter is closed and TRS is going to disappear soon. Actually, we have a big task ahead of reconstructing our Telangana state. Hence, it will be another beginning for us and we are not worried about the false reporting by a section of media. Whether the Congress will give Telangana or not, we are not willing to merge into it as we have our own tasks to accomplish.   Whenever TRS was cornered, it tries to defend itself using this technique. Earlier, when its leader Raghunandan rao has made severe allegations against Harish rao, then, the TRS leaders vociferously attacked him branding as Seemandhra covert. Next, when ABN news brings out the land settlement deal and the consequent kidnap by TRS leader KTR and his follower Satish Reddy, it defends using the same instrument. KCR has openly asking the people to chase out all his rival parties from the region to avert any competition in the forthcoming elections using the same technique.   Now again, when media is giving a clear picture of TRS and its leadership present position, they once again used their Seemandhra weapon to counter the reports. Instead, better they would have found a way out from the Congress game plan to defend themselves.

Merger proposal makes the TRS aspirants cry

  The proposal of merging TRS into Congress party makes many cry in TRS party as it may ruin their chances of contesting in the forthcoming elections. While, there are hundreds of aspirants still wondering around KCR and his family members for party tickets, several leaders, who have joined recently assured of party tickets by KCR are also worried with this merger proposal.   If, the merger really happens, then the ticket allotments affair will naturally will shifts from Telangana Bhavan to New Delhi. Then, the Congress party obviously prefers for its own candidates rather than upholding the promises made by KCR to several aspirants of his party.   If sources are to be believed several candidates have spent lakhs of rupees on arrangements of public and party meetings hoping TRS party tickets. If, the allegations about KCR selling party tickets to candidates is to be believed, then many may find themselves struck with him, if TRS merges into Congress party. Once the merger happens and ticket allotments affair is shifted to New Delhi, then KCR can hardly ensure tickets for his family members or for a handful of leaders only but definitely can’t get tickets to whom all those leaders he committed so far. This is the version from TRS side only. The story is no different for Congress leaders, who are expecting party tickets in the elections. If, merger takes place, then Congress may be obliged to spare reasonable number of tickets to TRS party, otherwise KCR will not let the merger process complete. This will leave many aspirants in the Congress party in desperate situation.   hence, if they fails to secure tickets then they will be left with no other option but to take plunge into YSR Congress party. But, the sudden mad rush may create scarcity for the tickets there also. TDP has already enough of candidates, so it may be not in a position to accommodate any fresh arrivals. Hence, the merger proposal may affect all the four major parties in the state.

Did TDP training camps solve its purpose

  TDP is conducting training camps for its party cadres at five districts beginning with Vizag, Vijayawada, Guntur, Tirupati, Warangal and Hyderabad to prepare them for facing the Panchayat elections. During the first two camps held at Vizag and Vijayawada recently, party president Chandrababu Naidu has delivered a lengthy speech describing about his efforts in rescuing the Telugu people from Uttarakhand state. There he went on giving minute by minute details about the horrible experiences of the victims and their relatives’ feelings in his speech. He also told them about how he swings into action without taking rest soon after his arrival from US. Then he aims his guns on ruling Congress government and YSRCP and flayed the both with known reasons.   But, he simply ignores to train his party cadres and not even took their feed back about the party situation in the remote areas. Would he utilize this opportunity to interact with his party workers and given them his guidance for facing the elections, it would have helped the party make a dent in the elections. But, he neither asked about their problems nor given them his guidance, instead confined to lengthy speeches that are no way helpful to the party. Merely showcasing the strength by mobilizing thousands of people or party workers won't bring victory to any political party. He too very well knew that only a strategic approach to elections will yield the exact results. So, hope he would not waste the rest of his three camps merely to witness his lengthy speeches.

T-decision only after Road Maps: Digvijay

  State political affairs in-charge Digvijay Singh, who has promised that a decision on bifurcation of the state will be announced within ten days, has altered his statement and now states today that any decision on bifurcation will be taken only after receiving the road maps from the state chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, Dy.CM Damodara Rajanarasimha and PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana.   Today, he met Union Home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde and discussed about the Telangana issue. However, he refused to reveal the details of their meeting, but talked about road maps and his party plans on Telangana issue.   If, Congress is really serious and honest in resolving the issue, Digvijay would not have asked the three leaders to prepare three separate road maps for one purpose. There may be definitely a conflict between the road maps, which will provide scope to initiate a debate on it and thus to prolong the issue. More over, he has not given any specific time period for preparing the road maps. So, there also he can buy enough time to prolong the issue.   In the mean time, Congress has begun a new game of convincing KCR to merge his party into Congress, as a pre-condition for carving Telangana state. KCR has declared that he doesn’t want to merge his party into Congress, as it has hijacked his Telangana sentiment. So, this negotiation process on merging also definitely provides enough time for Congress. Ultimately, all these ideas and developments reveal that Congress is not honest in resolving the burning Telangana issue.

YSR Cong. plenary meetings likely to be postponed

    In wake of upcoming Panchayat elections, YSR Congress party leaders are insisting to postpone its plenary meetings to be held on July 8th at Idupulapaya in Kadapa district. Party leaders are insisting to conduct the meetings in September to showcase their strengths after winning the Panchayat elections. A decision will be taken today after discussing the matter with Jagan Mohan Reddy today. There are some other reasons also like the internal fights between the party leaders and resignations of several leaders etc that makes the party think about postponing the meetings.

Cong. BJP indulge in dirty politics over encounter

  An encounter of 4 youngsters by Gujarat police and the state Subsidiary Intelligence Bureau (SBI) in year 2004, is now lead to an ugly political war between the ruling BJP government of the Gujarat and the Congress led UPA government.   Four youngsters-Ishrath Jahan, Jawed Sheikh, Amzad Ali and Akbar Ali Rana have been encountered by the Gujarat police and the SBI in year 2004 on charges of conspiring to murder Gujarat CM Narendra Modi. According to victim Ishrath Jahan’s mother Shamima Kousar, her daughter was pursuing B.Sc 2nd year degree. She was also working part time with Jawed Shekh to feed her family. When she went to Gujarat on office work along with Jawed Sheik, they were arrested by Gujarat Police and later encountered.   Recently, CBI which starts investigating the fake encounter case has filed charge sheets against several top brass of the Gujarat Police and against SBI officials. While, some of them are under CBI custody, some others went under ground. Recently, CBI has reconstructed the crime scene at the location and video recorded it.   Though, the issue remains under current all these years, neither the BJP nor the Congress party have tried to stir it anyway. But, when CBI begins investigation into the case, BJP blames Congress government has intentionally picked-up case after several years only to tarnish the image of Narendra Modi, so as to block him from taking upon Rahul Gandhi as Prime Ministerial candidate of the BJP. It argues that, Congress is politicizing a very serious issue that is related to national safety and security. It asks why the Congress is not talking about the identities of other three who were killed in the encounter.   Congress lashing at BJP says, sooner or later the real face of Gujarat CM Narendra Modi will come into light in the investigation.   However, CBI has stated that it is not enquiring into details of the victims’ back ground and their personal status as it was not asked for it, but asked to probe whether the encounter is genuine or fake. CBI has so far prepared a 1500 paged charge sheet against the top brass of the Gujarat Police. Sooner or later, it is expected to reach Gujarat CM Narendra Modi in this process.

Congress hopeful on Jagan’s surrender

  It appears that Congress still kept all its options open to have poll alliance or merger of Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSR Congress party with it. Although, it ushers CBI to fix him in the jail, in which six IAS officials were also charge sheeted, it has not granted permission for prosecuting of four IAS officials until now. Due to this, CBI was unable to proceed for trial in Jagan’s cases. This comes as a blessing as well as a curse for Jagan Mohan Reddy.   While, the Center is applying breaks to CBI from proving Jagan guilty in the court, it also locks him in the jail without facing the trial. So, Jagan has to bear with both the effects due to delay in granting permission for IAS officers’ prosecution. Perhaps, the Congress party kept its option open to fix Jagan Mohan Reddy in jail, if he do not fall in line with it before the election bell rings. If, he joins hands with it then it may put the decision on hold forever and let the CBI cases hang in the air to let Jagan Mohan Reddy come out of bail.   UPA government has so far granted permission for prosecution of two IAS Officers Sri Lakshmi and Brhmananda Reddy only. Still it didn't gave permission for prosecution of Raja Gopal, Subrahmanyam, BP Acharya and Samuel. Unless, it gives permission, CBI can’t go ahead with Jagan’s cases. It is still waiting for Center’s permission even today. So, it entirely depends on whether Jagan would like to surrender to the ruling Congress party or not.

Mopidevi family quits Congress party

  Former minister Mopidevi Venkata Ramana rao, who was arrested in connection with Vanpic case some one year ago, gave nod to his family members to leave the Congress party, protesting its negligent attitude shown towards him.   His brother Mopidevi Haranatha babu had a meeting with their followers at his residence in Guntur today. They have sharply criticized the Congress party for being indifferent with Mopidevi Venkata Ramana and for turning blind eye on him. They allege that party has neglected him after his arrest, who once strived has strived hard to strengthen the party in Repalle in Guntur district. They allege that Congress government and the party not even bothered to provide proper medical treatment to him, when he is frequently falling sick in the jail.   Hence, they have announced that all of they are leaving the Congress party and joining YSR Congress party on July 5th in the presence of Vijayamma. Former MPP Prasada Vasudeva, former Sarpanchs, former MPTCs and Mopidevi followers are joining the YSR Congress party along with Mopidevi Haranath.

VH fumes on CM Kiran

  Rajya Sabha member and senior Congress leader V. Hanumantha rao, fumes on chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy for his statement against Telangana. Yesterday, CM has firmly told some Seemandhra leaders that state will not be divided and Telangana formation is not an easy task to decide within 10 days.   His statement irks V.Hanumantha rao very much. He said he will complain to party high command against CM about his statement. He asked, “We are assuring the party of giving 15 MP seats, if the Telangana state is formed. I want to know how many seas can they assure if state is remain united? I ask why are they speaking against Telangana, while keeping mum on Jagan Mohan Reddy. Why don’t they conduct a meeting to avert his influences on the Seemandhra region, instead of conducting meetings opposing Telangana.”   VH sharply criticized Sharmila for her remarks made against party. He said she is talking above her capacity and knowledge. She should aware that it is not Congress that has cheated Jagan Mohan Reddy, but it is her brother, who backstabbed the Congress party misusing his father’s influence as CM of the state.

Rayapati to quit if state is divided

  After Lagadapati Raja Gopal, now its Rayapati Sambha Siva rao’s turn to threaten to quit the party if the state is divided. Speaking to media, he said he always favored United State and will stick to his stand. If the party takes any decision in favor of Telangana, then he will resign to party on the next moment. He opined that all other Seemandhra MLAs, MPs, and MLCs will do the same, if the government divides the state.   While, some of the Seemandhra leaders like Chiranjeevi, Killi Kripa Rani, Kavuri Sambhasiva rao etc are willing to abide by the party decision, few others like Rayapati, Ganta Srinivasa rao etc are opposing bifurcation of the state. If Congress high command is firm on dividing the state, then it has to first calm-up these decedent leaders in the party or else they may create the same embarrassing situation that it faced three years ago when made a statement in favor Telangana.   However, this time the decedents’ fight also may be part of the Congress game plan to gain political mileage in both areas. So, it can be stopped at any given moment.

Panchayats Elections schedule announced

  State election commission officer Ramakanth Reddy has announced the elections schedule of Panchayats. Election notification will be issued by the district collectors on July 9th. Elections will be held in three stages on 23rd, 27th and on 31st of July.   Filing of nominations -July 9th, scrutiny-14th and withdrawing of nominations on 17th. Polling for the 2,17,578 wards in the 21, 491 Panchayats will be conducted from morning 7am to afternoon 1pm only. Results will be announced soon after the counting completes on the same day. Hence, the election code has come into effect from today itself.

TDP to conduct training camp at Vizag

  TDP president Chandrababu Naidu, who takes the Panchayat elections very seriously has planned to conduct training camps at Vizag, Guntur, Tirupati, Warangal and Hyderabad. Therefore, TDP is going to conduct its first camp at Vizag on Wednesday. Chandrababu will attend this camp to be held from morning 9am to evening 4pm. He will train his party cadres on how to educate the people about the failures and corrupt practices of the ruling Congress government and how to convert the same into votes in favor of his party. All the second and third rank leaders of the party from surrounding districts are expected to participate in this training camp. According to TDP sources, around 15-20,000 party workers are expected to attend this training camp. Hence, local leaders are making elaborate arrangements for the meeting.

SP and 7 police men killed in Maoists attack

  Hardly it was one month or so, when the Maoists in Chattisgarh have brutally killed several Congress leaders and police men in the dense forest area of the district. Even the dust settles, once again Maoists have made a deadly attack on the police at Pakur district, where district SP and seven police were killed. SP Amarjit Singh and his seven police men were killed on the spot, when the Maoists have triggered landmine that was set in their way in the dense forests. As usually, the political leaders start condemning the attack describing it as coward act, additional police forces deployed in the site of incident and combing operation was also launched immediately.   This incident reveals that neither the government nor the police have not learnt any lesson from the past experiences, otherwise this would not happened.

Digvijay reiterates T decision soon

  state political affairs in-charge Digvijay Singh, during his second leg of his south India tour has reached Bangalore today, where he will have series of meetings with his party leaders. Speaking to state leaders, he said “ We believe that smaller states will strengthen our party. That’s why, I have asked the AP CM, Dy.CM and PCC president to submit a road map on Telangana. Party has decided to resolve this issue forever very soon.” His statement clearly indicates that Congress has made-up its mind to create separate state very soon.

Gadde Babu rao resigns YSRCP

  Former TDP MLA, who joins YSR Congress party and serving as party coordinator has resigns to party today. He also like many others alleges that he is not getting his due respect in the party, which is now over weighed by the cash rich businessmen. He said “ I regrets for leaving TDP now.’ He is returning to party fold in a day or two. He twice elected to Assembly from Cheepurupalli constituency.

Mopidevi group likely to join YSRCP

  Former minister Mopidevi Venkata Ramana, who was arrested in Jagan Mohan Reddy’s disproportionate assets cases one year ago, is quite frustrated to see the party turning blind eye on him. Hence, his brother Mopidevi Harinatha babu and their followers are planning to bid good bye to Congress and ready to join YSR Congress party. However, it is surprising to see them preparing to join YSR Congress party, while Mopidevi was jailed because of Jagan Mohan Reddy cases.   Former minister Dharmana Prasada rao, who still averts his arrest has met state political affairs in-charge Digvijay Singh at Vizag and seeks party support to bail himself out come from the cases. Although, Digvijay has not made any promise, he told him that he will convey his appeal to party high command. Dharmana is still playing a safe game to avert arrest, where as Mopidevi simply walked into jail hoping that party will stand by him and bail him out from the cases within days of his arrest. Hence, the frustrated leader seems wants to teach a lesson to party by joining hands with rival party. However, Mopidevi's decission to join YSR Congress party may not help him bail out of the jail instead may  further worsen his situation.
