      బాలీవుడ్‌ సీనియర్‌ యాక్టర్‌ ప్రాణ్‌ శుక్రవారం కన్నుమూశారు.. గత కొంత కాలంగా అనారోగ్యంతో బాధపడుతున్న ప్రాణ్.. మూడు వారాలగా లీలావతి ఆస్పత్రిలో చికిత్స పొందుతున్నారు. అప్పటినుంచి వెంటిలేటర్‌పై ఉన్న ఆయన శుక్రవారం తుదిశ్వాస విడిచారు. ఆయన అంత్యక్రియలు ముంబైలోని శివాజీ పార్క్‌లో శనివారం మధ్యాహ్నం 12గంటలకు నిర్వహించనున్నారు. 93 సంవత్సరాల ప్రాణ్‌ తన ఆరు దశాబ్దాల కెరీర్‌లో 400కు పైగా సినిమాల్లో నటించారు. ఇండియన్‌ సినిమాకు ఆయన చేసిన సేవలకు గాను భారతీయ సినిమా రంగంలో అత్యున్నత పురస్కారం దాదాసాహెబ్ ఫాల్కే అవార్డును ఈ ఏడాదే అందుకున్నారు.

Bollywood actor Pran passes away

  Veteran Bollywood actor and Dadasaheb Phalke Awardee Pran Sikand (93), who was ailing with health problems was died yesterday around 8.30pm at Leelavathi Hospital in Mumbai.   Pran Sikand, fondly called as Pran Saheb was born on 12th February, 1920 in Old Delhi in a Punjabi family. He begins his film career in 1940 at Lahore with Punjabi film ‘Yamala Jat’ at the age of 20 years and did 350 films in more than six decades of his association with Bollywood. He has elevated the villain role to new heights with his marvelous performance. He also acted in a Telugu film Kodama Simham.   His performance in films Khandan, Jis Desh Mein Ganaga Behti Hai, Madhumathi, Johny Mere Naam, Vcitoria No:203, Zanjeer, Don, Duniya and dozens of such films have earned him name and fame. He won number of awards that includes film Fare Awards, other Awards presented by several organizations across the country, Padma Bhushan Award and the highest award in Indian film industry Dada Saheb Phalke Award in year 2013. Since, he was unable to attend the 60th national Awards function held at New New Delhi due to ill health, he was given the Award at his residence by the Broadcasting minister Manish Tiwari in April this year. His last riots will be performed at Shivaji Park in Dadar, Mumbai today. Bollywood and Tollywood mourn his death.

OU JAC gives bandh call to educational institute

  As expected, the BJP, TRS, T-JAC, and OU T-JAC students have sharply reacted to the Congress decision of forwarding the matter to its working committee. OU JAC gave a bandh call for tomorrow to all the educational institutes in the region in protest against Congress indecision on Telangana issue. T-JAC chairman sharply criticizing the Congress party has said it has been cheating the people for years and now once again it did the same thing. He said they can achieve Telangana with their agitations but not with the mercy of Congress party. He said an action plan will be chalked out to intensify the agitations. TRS also said it didn’t expect much from Congress party as they are aware of its practices.BJP state president Kishan Reddy asked still how many days Congress wants to cheat the people? He warned the people of the region are going to teach a good lesson to it in the upcoming Panchayat elections.

No announcement on Telangana

  The Congress party core committee meeting was just concluded, but no announcement was made by Digvijay Singh over bifurcation of the state. In his brief address to media, said that matter will be discussed in Congress working committee soon. He said core committee has taken the views of the state leaders and will discuss the same in the working committee soon. Hence, this will be very disappointing news to those who eagerly waiting for a positive announcement by the Congress party.

Election schedule for 5 states in September

  The Chief Election Commissioner VS Sampath has told the media that the Assembly elections schedule for the five states-Madhya Pradesh, Chattish Gargh, Delhi, Rajasthan and Mijoram will be announced between September and October months. The five states complete their five years term between December 12th and January 4th. So, The Election Commission will announce the schedule between September and October. The prevailing unpleasant political situation in the country, especially at Center may encourage the UPA government to go for mid-term elections along with the five state Assembly elections.

CM Condemns resignation reports

  Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, who came to knew about the media reports about his plans to resign if party takes a favorable decision on Telangana issue, has condemned the reports as mere rumors. He said “I do not understand how such rumors spread? There is no question of my resignation come what ever the party decision may be. I have been telling that I will abide by the party decision and will stick to my word.” The latest news is Core Committee meeting has been rescheduled to 3.30pm from evening 4pm.

Will the SC verdict impacts political system

  The Supreme Court’s verdict over disqualification of people’s representatives caught in criminal activities has come as a big shock to the political parties and their leaders, because as many as 162 sitting MPs are facing criminal charges and 76 of them are subjected to conviction of more than 5 years jail term. Around 1460 sitting MLAs of all political parties are facing criminal charges and out of them 30 percent are involved in serious crimes that attracts a minimum 5years jail sentence. However, all of they are absconding arrest shielding themselves behind people’s representative act. The court verdict now not only pulls out those representatives from their shells, but also likely to push them behind bars.   Supreme Court also gave another significant verdict on Wednesday that bars the representatives from contesting from the jails. The verdict states that any person, who is in the jail or in police custody can’t contest in the elections. Clarifying it further, the apex court bench comprising Justices AK Patnaik and SJ Mukhopadyaya has stated “Only those who can cast their vote are eligible to contest in the elections. Any person, whose right of casting the vote was seized then his/her right to contest in the elections will also seize automatically.   When this ruling comes, all eyes in the state naturally turned towards Jagan Mohan Reddy, who was arrested by CBI in disproportionate assets cases one year ago. If, the latest verdict bared him from voting then it will automatically bars from contesting in the elections for the next 6 years. Several ministers like Dharmana Prasada rao, Sabita Indra Reddy, Pardha Saradhi, Mopidevi Venkata Ramana etc may face the same fate if attract these terms.

BJP unconditionally supports ‘T’ Bill: Kishan Reddy

  BJP state president Kishan Reddy speaking to media has said “I hope Congress will not turn around on Telangana issue again. It should keep its promise and make a formal announcement on Telangana state creation today without fail. If, it introduces a bill on Telangana in Parliament, our party is ready to vote for it without any preconditions. Congress should realize that the delay in taking a decision claims many lives here in Telangana. If it is really concerned for their sacrifices, then it should make an announcement in favor of Telangana. It has no other option but to create Telangana state or else it also very well knew that it has to pay dearly for it in the forthcoming elections. Instead of pushing itself and the state into a corner, better it take a positive decision on bifurcation in the core committee meeting.”

Yeddyurappa likely to return to BJP soon

  Former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa, who faced corrupt charges and even spent few days in jail, was expelled from BJP few months ago. Then he launched his own political party Karnataka Jantha Paksha, hoping that he can make a clean swipe in the assembly elections held a couple of months ago. Though he couldn’t make dent in the elections, he was successful in bringing down the ruling BJP in Karnataka government.   During the election campaign, BJP president Rajnath Singh, senior leaders LK Advani, Narendra Modi have categorically said that the party is now free from corrupt leaders after Yeddyurappa’s exit from the party. He also flayed the BJP for betraying him and promised to teach a good lesson to it in the elections and he even kept his word by ensuring its defeat. Their conflict paves way for Congress party to grab the power in the state after two decades.   Then both he and BJP regrets for what had happened between them. Hence, BJP has sent feelers inviting him back into party and he too has shown all positive indications for his return. In his recent interview to media Yeddyurappa has said “I have already received some communication from BJP President Rajnath Singh and other senior leaders. I haven't come to any decision. I have to discuss about it with my colleagues. We will take a decision at an appropriate time. Modi is the "tallest" leader and more than half the people in the country want his leadership.”   Therefore, BJP may roll a red carpet to him in wake of the upcoming general elections in 2014.

Minister Pardha Saradhi is guilty: High court

  It was another jolt for Kiran Kumar Reddy government. Today, the high court has acknowledges the verdict given by the trail court against Secondary Education minister Pardha Saradhi in FERA violations case. The court opines that the ministry is guilty in FERA violation case and deserves punishment as convicted by the trial court. However, the court reduced the Rs.3 lakhs fine levied by the trial court on him to half. It also suggests him that he can appeal in the Supreme Court within four weeks on its judgment.   Pardha Saradhi was given two months jail term and Rs.3 lakhs fine for violating FERA rules and regulations while importing machinery from abroad for his Telecom plant. Therefore, he appealed in the high court against the trial court verdict. But, he had a setback in the high court also. So, he may now appeal in the Supreme Court.   However, the verdict may again put pressures on the Kiran Kumar Reddy government for his expulsion from the cabinet. Already two of his ministers Dharmana Prasada rao and Sabita Indra Reddy were forced to quit their posts for facing allegations in Jagan Mohan Reddy’s disproportionate assets cases. Now, the opposition parties may demand for Pardha Saradhi’s resignation.

Tweeter message on Bodha Gaya bomb blasts

  These days, even the terrorists prefers to use social network sites to claim responsibility for bomb blasts and to declare their further schedules of bomb blasts in the country. This is nothing but throwing a big challenge to the Indian investigating agencies. While the Congress, BJP and JD (U) is indulged in an ugly blame game over the Bodh Gaya blasts, Indian Muzahudden have left them all in deep shock by posting a tweeter message, claiming responsibility for the blasts. They even announced that their next target will be Mumbai.   On the other side, National Investigating Agency, which reached a road end in its investigating has announced an award of Rs.10 Lakhs for any information related to the serial bomb blasts. So far, it not even able to nab any one of the accused in Hyderabad, Dil Shukh Nagar twin bomb blasts. Much to their worry, now the terrorists given their next schedule also. Hope all the concerned departments will wake-up before its too late.

CM, Dy.CM and Botsa to leave for Delhi

  The proposed state cabinet meeting to be held on July 12th at 12 noon has been cancelled as the CM, Dy.CM and PCC president were summoned to New Delhi on July 11th to attend the core committee meeting that discusses on the Telangana issue. Hence the trio will leave for New Delhi on 11th itself and submit their roadmaps to the party high command. After discussing the matter in the core committee meeting, it will be forwarded to cabinet meeting for a formal approval. Once the cabinet approves the proposal, a formal announcement may be made on the same day evening over bifurcation of the state. Then a bill on Telangana will be submitted in the Parliament during monsoon sessions for approval. Congress hopes that BJP and other parties will definitely stick to their word, which have promised to support the bill in the house.

Prabhu Kishore likely to join YSRCP

  Varun Motors MD Prabhu Kishore, who have good terms with TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu, is likely to join YSR Congress party. Earlier, he wants to contest to Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha on TDP ticket. But due to some problems he couldn’t get party ticket. So, this time YSR Congress party comes as a blessing for him. He met the party senior leader YV Subba Reddy during his recent visit to Vizag and asked for Vizag Lok Sabha seat. If he is given assurance for it, then he may join YSR Congress party. If he joins the election battle definitely he will give a tough fight for Congress and TDP candidates. So, YSR Congress party may also roll red carpet to him offering party ticket.   Its learnt that TDP is trying to rope in the business magnet M.Venkata Ramana, MD of 'Chandrana Brothers' for the Visakha lok Sabha seat.

సిటీలైట్ విషాదం: 16కు చేరిన మృతులు

      సిటీ లైట్ హోటల్ భవనం కూలిన ఘటనలో మృతుల సంఖ్య 16కు చేరుకుంది. మరోవైపు సిటీలైట్ హోటల్ శిథిలాల తొలగింపు శరవేగంగా సాగుతోంది. జీహెచ్ఎంసీ కమిషనర్ కృష్ణబాబు స్వయంగా పనులను పర్యవేక్షిస్తున్నారు. ఈ రోజుతో శిథిలాల తొలగింపు పూర్తవుతుందని ఆయన తెలిపారు. హోటల్ కూలిన ఘటనలో 16 మంది మృతి చెందగా, మరో నలుగురి ఆచూకీ గల్లంతయ్యింది. అలీ,భరత్, వెంకటేష్,కిరణ్ అనే నలుగురు వర్కర్ల ఆచూకీ గల్లంతవడంతో వారి బంధువులు ఆందోళనకు దిగారు. మరోవైపు సిటీలైట్ హోటల్ కూలడంతో పాతభవనాలపై జీహెచ్ఎంసీ స్పెషల్ డ్రైవ్ చేపట్టనుంది. పాతభవనాలను ఉపేక్షించేది లేదని కమిషనర్ కృష్ణబాబు తేల్చిచెప్పారు. ఎలాంటి ఒత్తిళ్లకు లొంగబోమని ఆయన తెలిపారు.

Balayya reiterates Babu will be CM

  As everyone knows that media too is divided party-wise, the reports, analysis and their predictions also measured with same yard stick. A section of media reports that Balakrishna would like to claim TDP president post for himself. Later, there were reports that he is dreaming to rule the state sitting in the CM chair. There was a time, when the media even reported that party cadres have asked him to overpower Chandrababu and occupy his seat. But, Balakrishna has never told anyone that he is desperate to occupy the top slot in the party and the government, instead he has been reiterating that he is interested to contest in the upcoming elections for Assembly. Time and again he keep reiterating that Chandrababu will lead the party and the government. Yet, he couldn’t stop the rumor mills cooking spicy gossips. Hence, he too is obliged to reiterate his stand this matter whenever he found an occasion.   Chandrababu’s recent statement about playing key role in national politics again provides scope for rumor mills to cook some interesting stories on the same matter. They writes, since Chandrababu is planning to move to national level politics, Balayya Babu has developed interest in CM post. When Balayya babu was asked the same question at NATS festival in held in USA, he once again reiterated that he is only interested to join the Assembly as its member and Chandrababu will lead the party and the government after next general elections.

Police arrests Shankar rao

  Finally police have arrested former minister Shankar rao today under dowry harassment case. His daughter-in-law Vamshi Priya, who has divorced her husband in year 2009 has lodged a complaint against her in-laws then itself. However, the case has been shelved due to his influence until she knocks the court doors appealing for action. In the mean time, he played an emotional drama with his arrest in another case related to Green Fields lands scam.   However, he managed to escape police arrest on health grounds but was again booked in another case for making false allegations against CM Kiran Kumar Reddy and DGP Dinesh Reddy. When police have interrogated for 6 hours on June 26th, he played the same trick and joined hospital to escape his arrest. But, police have finally arrested him today under dowry case. However, he may try to obtain bail on health grounds.

Marriage proposals between Balayya family and MVS Murthy on

  The latest buzz is that marriage proposals for Nandamuri Balakrishna’s daughter Tejaswini with TDP leader MVS Murthy’s grand son is on. Tejaswini is pursuing her Engineering degree at Hyderabad and also she is actively participating in social welfare programs. On the other side, Murthy’s grand son (eldest son’s son) is said to be settled in US as a software engineer.   Eluru MP Kavuri Sambhasiva rao, who was recently inducted as textile minister into Dr.Manmohan Singh’s cabinet, is groom’s maternal grand father. According to reports, elders of both sides have find no objections to proceed with this proposal, as MVS Murthy is quite close to TDP president Chandrababu Naidu, while Kavuri family and Nandamuri family have good relations since years. If, sources are to be believed, both families are planning for their engagement in the next month. However, we have to wait for an official word from the concerned persons.
