The latest information is Congress is planning to hold its working committee meeting on 26th of this month to decide on the bifurcation issue of the state. Congress party has asked its CWC members to made themselves available at New Delhi from 25th onwards for a week.
If, the Congress is honest in resolving the burning issue then, it can take a final decision in its CWC meeting and then can introduce the bill on Telangana state in the monsoon sessions that begins from August 5th. If, it takes a decision in favor of Telangana state, then it has make amendments to the constitution in this sessions itself to enable the government start the bifurcation process. All most all the political parties in the state and at national level have given their consent for creating Telangana state.
So, the only hurdles remained in this process are making its Seemandhra leaders calm and merging TRS party into it. Even if TRS won’t merge with it, Congress can go ahead with its plans, but facing the stiff resistance from its Seemandhra leaders will be a tough task to handle for it. Whether it will pass this acid test and create Telangana state or prolong the issue with some crooked idea is to be seen.
