Chiranjeevi ready to take ‘U’ turn

  Union Ministers Chiranjeevi and Panabaka Lakshmi appear to be changed their stand on bifurcation. They both came to express their solidarity to Congress MPs and state ministers staging dharna near Gandhi statue at Parliament house, protesting party decision of bifurcation.   Chiranjeevi said “We came here to express our solidarity to our leaders, who are fighting for justice in bifurcation process. We have to ensure justice for both regions. It is unfair to see one region gets all the benefits and other is betrayed of its rights during bifurcation process. We couldn’t simply ignore the demands of lakhs of people agitating for justice. We are here to lend our voice to the people.” It is to be observed that earlier he told that he would like to abide party decision. But, when the high command has ordered the leaders not to speak on bifurcation issue and asked them not to raise questions on CWC decision, Chiranjeevi did quite against its wish and let his close aide C Ramachandraiah resigned to his post protesting party decision.   Another union minister Panabaka Lakshmi, who earlier has firmly said that she would like to abide by party decision, now says she also votes for Samaikyandhra and if not possible equal justice in bifurcation process. Whether the high command gains control these leaders or will they makes it succumb to their pressures is an interesting thing to watch.

Is CM going to quit soon?

  CM Kiran Kumar Reddy, who has been abstaining from his duties ever since the Center declares Telangana state formation 13 days ago, has finally joined duties yesterday after being warned by party state political affairs in-charge Digvijay Singh. According to reports, Digvijay has called upon Kiran Kumar Reddy and conveyed him Sonia Gandhi’s message to him, who asked him preside the bifurcation process as Chief Minister of the state. She also warned her party leaders including CM not to speak against CWC decision on bifurcation in public or before media, instead suggested them to give representation to Antony Committee that is intended address their grievances. This has forced CM Kiran Kumar Reddy to return to office yesterday.   However, he is facing quite embarrassing situation at his office as there are no ministers, employees there to talk to him on any issue, except a handful of officers. While, majority of the Seemandhra ministers and MLAs have quit their posts and are busy with Samaikyandhra agitations and busy staging dhana at Jantar Mantar at New Delhi today, all the T-ministers and MLAs have distanced from him, ever since he spoke against bifurcation. Probably, the prevailing embarrassing situation may force him quit his post, with which the government will automatically collapses. So, Congress high command may be working on this issue to find a replacement to him before it is proved too late for it.

Sitaram Yechuri impressive speech in Parliament

  An interesting debate on bifurcation of the state has taken place in the Parliament today. Out of several members, who spoke today in the house, CPM leader Sitaram Yechuri has made a very impressive speech today.   He asked the speaker of the house, “Why was the Telangana issue was set aside all these years, when the constitution was amended 40 years ago for creation of Telangana state? None of the governments ruled the country until now has shown any interest to resolve this burning issue amicably. Our party has been repeatedly telling the government not to divide the state as it would be stirring the devil’s nest. But, Congress has gone ahead without thinking about the consequences, and the country is now seeing the adverse affects of its decision. Several separate state demands are emerging from different parts of the country."   He said "When the Congress has made-up its mind on bifurcation four years ago, then what homework it did all these years? Even it couldn’t convince its CM and his deputy who are differing with each other on this issue. Congress lets its Telangana and Seemandhra leaders speak against each other and rage the people with their provocative speeches and statements."   "Congress should handle the matter more carefully taking everyone into its consideration or else the result will be disastrous. I request the government not play with sentiments of the people of both regions. Congress should realize that it is just like playing with fire. We are proud to say that it is our CPM party, which alone firmly opposed the division of the state for the sake of people and the country. And we are proved right,” said Yechuri.

BJP straight question to Congress party

  BJP Rajya Sabha member M Venkaiah Naidu has sot a straight to question to ruling Congress party today while participating in a hot debate on bifurcation of the state. He asked why the T-Congress are boasting in Telangana region that it is their president Sonia Gandhi has gifted them Telangana, while their counterparts in Seemandhra are accusing BJP and TDP as sinners for the division of the state. He asked, when T-Congress leaders are stating it is Sonia Gandhi’s gift to Telangana people, then why don’t their counterparts also tell the same in Seemandhra region and why are blaming others for their decision? Venkaiah Naidu accuses Congress for dealing the whole affair as a private affair and not taking anyone into consideration. He blamed Congress for creating rift between Telugu people with its decision. He asked what measures it has taken to ensure safety of the people living in Hyderabad.”

KCR receives threatening letter from Andhra Naxals

  Today a threatening letter addressing KCR, Telangana Bhavan has been received by TRS party, in which a warning statement “KCR you will be shot dead with in 10 days” was written. The senders claim themselves as ‘Andhra Naxalites.’ TRS is going to handover the letter to DGP soon. Few days ago, TRS leaders Harish rao and Etela Rajender has declared that they came to know about conspiracy to murder KCR.   They demand the government to provide Z category security to KCR immediately. They have warned the government that it will be responsible if any thing happens to him. Then they also declared that they know who is behind this conspiracy and also know that supari (amount) has been given to kill KCR. However, they said that they will reveal the names of the conspirers in right time. No one understood what they mean ‘right time.’ This makes everyone suspect they are playing over smart to escalate tensions among Andhra and Telangana people.   This time the threatening letter claiming ‘Andhra Naxalites’ also leaves many doubts about the genuineness of the letter as there are no Andhra Naxals and Telangana Naxals existing, except Maoists. More over, when KCR has openly stated that his party follows ‘Maoist agenda’ and also admitted former Maoist leader Sambhasivudu into his party, (Later he was killed by some unidentified persons), it is ironical to say that the ‘Andhra Naxalites’ writes a letter threatening him to kill.   It appears TRS is desperately trying to play some political game with this serious issue. If it’s really a genuine letter, then it should be immediately submitted to police instead of coming to medi displaying it. TRS should also take all safety measures to avert any harm to KCR, before the government and the police reacts on their plea and complaint.

AP NGOs to go for Indefinite strike from midnight

  The talks between the Cabinet sub-committee headed by Deputy CM Damodar Rajanarasimha and the representatives of AP NGOs were failed. Ministers Anam Rami Narayana Reddy, P Satyanarayana and few others, who participated in the meeting with NGOs have tried to convince them to give representation to Antony Committee and hold their strike decision. But the NGOs firmly stick to their strike notice and made it clear that they will continue the strike until the UPA government withdraws its decision on division of the state.   P.Ashok Kumar, president of the AP NGOs Association has condemned the unilateral decision taken by the UPA government and demanded it to immediately withdraw its decision. The strike will begin from Monday midnight. Around 2.5 lakhs employees working in APS RTC, Revenue, Treasury, Commercial Tax, Electricity, Panchayat and six other departments will participate in the indefinite strike.   Digvijay Singh has appealed the NGOs not to go for strike as it will adversely affect the lives of the people in the state. He asked them to give representation to Antony Committee about their apprehensions on the bifurcation issue. He asserted all the issues raised by will be addressed. However, the NGOs prefer to go ahead with their strike plan. However, AP NGOs working in Secretariat will just observe a pen-down and won’t participate in the strike.

Chandrababu to start ‘Bus Yatra’ soon

  Chandrababu Naidu is planning to visit both Seemandhra and Telangana regions by bus very soon. According to reports it is named as “Telugujathi Atama Gourava Parirakshana Yatra.’ Before starting it, he is planning to visit New Delhi first and meet the Prime Minister and President of India. He will brief them about the prevailing situation of the state and appeal them to take corrective measures to restore piece in the state.   Later, he is planning to visit as many districts as possible by bus to educate the people about the consequences of the Congress hasty and mindless decision. He is said to be prepared to answer the people about the consent letter given by his party for creation of Telangana state. However, his main intention in this tour is to educate the people about the Congress failure in resolving the burning issue in an amicable way.   He believes that whenever Congress comes to power in the state, uncertainty prevails on the state. He opines that once again the self-respect of Telugu people is at stake as Congress is dealing the issue as if it is a monarch. He remembered the situation is same of those days, when TDP was launched by late NTR, who fights for self-respect of Telugu people. Chandrababu is likely to start his bus yatra any time after 3rd week of this month. However, the road map for his tour yet to be finalized by the party.

Can Modi pull enough crowds to his meeting

  Elaborate arrangements for BJP election campaign chairman Narendra Modi’s ‘Navabharat Yuva Bheri’ meeting to be held at LB stadium in Hyderabad on Sunday are in brisk progress. Since it is a first of its kind meeting by Modi at Hyderabad, BJP state wing leaves no stone unturned to make the meeting a grand success. BJP is expecting not less than one lakh youth to his meeting. But, it is also very much worrying with the ongoing agitations in Seemandhra region and the bad weather condition in the city. If it could not mobilize enough audiences to his meeting due to this, it fears Congress may definitely try to cash-in the situation and describes ‘youth has rejected him because of his communal background.’ Hence, BJP cadres are mainly concentrating on Telangana region to mobilize the youth for his meeting.   However, there is overwhelming response to Modi’s idea of seeking suggestions from youth about subject of his meeting. Narendra Modi has wisely used social networking platforms to reach the youth and got a tremendous response. He even introduced Rs.5/- ticket per head for his meeting, which also had a good response. However, BJP state wing is very anxious over the actual turnout for his meeting.

CM’s statement gives breather to TRS

  CM Kiran Kumar Reddy’s arguments opposing bifurcation comes as a blessing to beleaguered TRS party and to its president K. Chandrashekar rao. Ever since, Congress hijacks his Telangana sentiment and declares Telangana state creation, it cuts down his stature to ground level and makes his MLAs runaway from him to join Congress party. Hence, he is also facing immense pressures from inside to merge his party with Congress party. But, CM Kiran Kumar Reddy’s statement opposing creation of Telangana state, has comes as blessing to him and to his party.   Actually, KCR also doesn’t expect the Congress to make the T announcement so swiftly that ruins his political future. He thought if he could continue his agitations till the elections whistle blows, he can gain full advantage of Telangana sentiment. So, Kiran Kumar Reddy’s statement now gives him a second life. He can swing back into action fighting out Kiran Kumar Reddy and the Congress party, where as he is actually might be thanking him in heart. If, the Congress slows down the bifurcation process to convince Kiran Kumar Reddy, then KCR and his party obviously will have full advantage of the situation. If, this situation prolongs any further, then KCR can restart his agitations, thanks to CM Kiran Kumar Reddy.

Home minister to announce T state in Parliament

Union Minister Rajiv Shukla has assured the agitating T-TDP MPs in the house that home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde will make an announcement on Telangana in the Parliament after question hour on August 12th. But, the sudden change in political scenario in the state with CM Kiran Kumar Reddy’s statement opposing division of the state may affect this promise too. Whether, Congress can go ahead with its decision or slowdown the process to be seen. If, Congress wants to proceed with its bifurcation plan, then it has to replace CM Kiran Kumar Reddy to ensure there are no hurdles any further. But, it is not so easy in the present circumstances, as it is highly impossible to find a neutral person acceptable to both regions. So, obviously, it has no other option but to impose President’s Rule on the state if it wants to proceed with its bifurcation plans.

Cadbury plant in Chittoor soon

  Cadbury, a name that needs no special introduction is all set to launch its production plant in Chittoor district with an estimated cost of Rs.1000 crore. Cadbury India, has signed an agreement on Wednesday with Sri City to take on lease 134 acres of land for the proposed facility. The plant is expected to start its production activities in mid-2015 after completion of first phase. The plant will be developed in four stages and the final phase is expected to complete by 2020. The new plant will provide around 1,600 direct jobs by 2020 and provides indirect employment to equal numbers. It also comes a blessing for ancillary units, farmers, retailers and others in the state.   Anand Kripalu, the President of Mondelez International India and South Asia said this will be the largest production unit that manufactures wide variety of its products. He said "This investment will build on our success in India till date and ensure long term business sustainability. India is one of the priority emerging markets for Mondelez International. As leaders in the chocolate category in India and with aggressive growth plans for other categories, it heralds our commitment and intention for this market.”

SC stayed death sentence of Maganlal

  Maganlal Barela, who is convicted with death sentence and is supposed to be executed today morning got a relief from Supreme Court, which stayed his execution in the last minute.   Maganlal Barela was found guilty in brutal killing of his five daughters- Arti (4), Savita (5), Leela (6), Jamuna (1), and Phool Kanwar (2) has been convicted death sentence by the Madhya Pradesh High Court. He beheaded his five kids while they were asleep, over property disputes within the family. His clemency petitions to convert the death sentence to life time imprisonment has been rejected by President Pranab Mukharji on July 22, 2013. Therefore, the jail officials have made arrangements for his execution at Jabalpur Central Jail at dawn on Thursday.   However, Chief justice of India P. Sathasivam has stayed his execution after the Members of People's Union for Democratic Rights have knocked his doors on yesterday late night. Maganalal Barela’s case will take by the apex court on Thursday around 10.30am.

Rahul says Poverty is psychological feeling only

  The Prime Minister in-waiting Rahul Gandhi has stated that actually “poverty is not a money-oriented thing but just a psychological feeling only.” He said as long as the down trodden do not come forward voicing their problems, they can’t expect any change in their lives. He appreciated the efforts paid put by the self-help groups.   Naturally, his remarks on poverty irk BJP and other opposition parties. They flayed him for being ignorant about the poverty despite his nine years of extensive tour across the rural areas of the country.   If, poverty is just a psychological feeling only, then the planning commission vice president Montek Ahuluwalia, who recently discovered there is significant drop in BPL (below poverty line) percent, should make corrections to his statistical charts, according to the latest yardstick given by Rahul Gandhi to measure the poverty in the country.

Vijaya Shanthi likely to join Congress soon

  Vijaya Shanthi, who has been suspended from TRS party recently, is likely to join Congress very soon. Today, she is going to meet Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi at New Delhi. She is insisting to contest from Medak Parliament. If, Sonia Gandhi approves her demand, then she will be part of Congress party.   Besides her, TRS Polit bureau members Dr.A Chandra Shekar rao and K.Vijaya Rama rao also quits TRS party and negotiating with Congress for tickets and their admission into party. Another senior leader of TRS party, O. Chandu Lal is also ready to bid good bye to party very soon. Around four to five MLAs of the party are also said to be in touch with Congress.   Even while, talks between TRS and Congress party are on for the merger, TRS MLAs are leaving the party as if they understood that KCR is not actually interested to merge his party with Congress. If, KCR prolongs the merger any further, then several leaders of his party may not hesitate to abandon TRS, as it lost its glory with the Congress announcement on Telangana formation.

Relief for Dharmana and Sabita in CBI court

  Former ministers Dharmana Prasada rao and Sabita Indra Reddy, who were forced to quit their posts for having their names in CBI charge sheet, were booked by CBI in another case for their media statement. CBI has filed a memo seeking their custody stating that they both have tried to influence the witnesses with their speech made after submitting their resignations. However, they both have a sigh of relief as the CBI court scraps the memo today. But, it is a temporary relief only as they have to face the CBI court again in the next month in connection with Jagan Mohan Reddy’s illegal assets cases. CBI is planning to file the final charge sheet in Jagan’s cases in the next month.

Congress adopts KCR’s ‘Operation Akarsha’

  There was a time when KCR used to serve the ball and Congress used to stand at receiving end. He took away two of its senior MPs Vivek and Manda and most senior leader of the party K Keshav rao. Now it is time for him to pay returns.   TRS leaders are making beelines before Congress party seeking admission into it. To begin with, KCR’s darling sister Vijaya Shanthi takes initiative. She is followed by TRS MLAs Vijaya Rama rao, Chandu Lal and Chandrasekhar. They said they went there only to say just ‘Thank You’ to Digvijay Singh for granting Telangana.   There are several others like Enugu Ravinder Reddy (Yella Reddy), Kaveti Sammaiah (Sirpur Kagaj Nagar), Jupalli Krishna rao (Kollahpur), and Rajaiah (station Ghanpur) and of course Congress MPs Vivek and Manda Jagannadham are in ‘touch with Congress party. Out of the 17 MLAs around 7-8 are in full touch with Congress party and it is just a matter of time to take plunge into Congress. This leaves TRS hardly with its family members and turns it into a private limited party.    

Cast cuts through Samaikyandhra agitations

  The call for boycotting Pawan Kalyan, Ram Charan Tej and Allu Arjun’s upcoming movies by Students and Youth JACs has led to a new controversy. It creates rift between the agitating groups led by two different casts.   While, Youth JAC led by Adari Kishore Kumar asks the people to boycott the Mega family films, the Lawyers JAC that belongs to Chiranjeevi’s cast (Kapu) sternly oppose the boycott call. Kishore Kumar argues “Chiranjeevi has not only betrayed Andhra people but also Telangana people by taking too many ‘U’ turns on his stand on bifurcation. He is purely working for himself and not for the people. Despite several appeals from us, he still reiterates that he doesn’t want to step down from his minister post. He is power hungry and wants to safeguard his political interests. Hence, to teach him a lesson, his family members’ films should be boycotted by the people.”   Suresh Menon, representing students JAC also agrees with Kishore Kumar’s arguments and insists for boycott of Mega films.   But, the Lawyers JAC representatives argue “Chiranjeevi by heart is for Samaikyandhra. Everyone of us knows about it. His main intention to continue in his post is to represent us before party high command, otherwise he is ready to sacrifice his post. After all, who we are to decide to which films are to be allowed and which are to be boycotted. There are people to decide about it. Let us concentrate on our goal and do not let our selves distract with such silly ideas.”

AP NGOs serves Strike notice to Chief Secretary

  AP NGOs have served strike notice to Chief Secretary PK Mohanty on Tuesday. Around 3 lakh NGOs serving various departments like Revenue, Teachers, Treasury, Municipal, Panchayat, Excise, Commercial Taxes, RTC, Electrical, Medical, ICDS etc will join the indefinite strike to be started from August 12th protesting bifurcation of the state.   P Ashok Babu, the president of AP NGOs Association later speaking to the media has said “The UPA government has divided the state only to make Rahul Gandhi as Prime Minister. Our employees will be the first affected with this decision. Our lives and even our children’s lives are also hanging in the air with UPA decision. Many of us have settled in different places believing whichever place we work is our own place, but now we are facing threats from some persons to vacate our seats.”   “Center’s decision is going to adversely affect our promotions, service, seniority, increments, pensions every thing. It is prejudice and purely a political decision. We condemn it. We here by demand the Center to withdraw its decision or else we will continue till it reconsider its decision. It would have taken us into consideration before taking such a drastic step. But, it takes this decision to save the party in the state.”   “We demand all the people’s representatives to quit their posts on or before 12th of this month and join our agitations or else we will teach them a good lesson. We have already met Chandrababu and going to meet Botsa and other leaders of the region to submit memorandum. We will also try to give representation to Digvijay Singh and Sonia Gandhi soon.”   The high power committee constituted by the Center should first address all our problems then only go ahead with bifurcation process. If it blindly goes ahead with it, we will definitely fight it out," said Ashok babu.

Conspiracy to Murder KCR revealed

  Today, Harish rao has made a sensational announcement. He said some of their enemies are conspiring to assassinate KCR. “We know who is behind this. We also knew that they even given Supari for this job. KCR is hero of 4.5 crores Telangana people. If, any one tries to harm him, entire state will be set on fire. So, we here by demand the government to provide him Z-Plus security cover to KCR. We also demand the government to order for an investigation into this.   ”Naturally it draws every one’s attention. But, when they are aware of the conspiracy and also know the names of the conspirers, then why don’t they first approach the police complaining about this, instead of trying to catch the media focus? If, they knew who is conspiring, then why didn’t they reveal the name to media while making this announcement? Why did they let KCR attend public meetings and press conferences despite knowing there is life threat to him? All these questions unearths their actual intentions behind this new drama.   Soon after Congress declares Telangana state, KCR and his team has suddenly realized that they are no longer need to continue their agitations and become political unemployed. So, they wants the people follow them all along till the elections. So, KCR has provoked Andhra employees. As a result, Telangana employees are also drawn into battle and crossing swords with their Andhra colleagues. As if adding fuel to the flames, now Harish rao made this sensational announcement to provoke the Telangana people against Andhra people, who are settled in Hyderabad. He expects there will be clashes between two groups and that forces Center declare Hyderabad Union Territory. If so, TRS can restart its agitations for Hyderabad.   Actually, if Congress would have taken KCR into consideration during T announcement, he wouldn’t behaved like this. But, as he was set aside by it, he desperately wants to retain his glory, come bifurcation process continues or halted. KCR, who dreams to play king maker role by winning 15/100 seats in the next general elections is very much shocked with Congress game plan. So, he is provoking the people to gain the lost glory and to continue his agitations. But, when he is promising to merge his party with Congress, then what is necessary to play all these crooked games? It gives another answer. Actually, he doesn’t wants to merge his party with Congress. So is he playing all these tricks to keep the show on.
