Botsa blames Kiran for Congress miserable situation

Andhra Pradesh Former PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana is likely to join the YSR Congress party in the presence of Jagan Mohan Reddy at his Lotus Pond residence on June 7th. He may not find any problem or objections for criticizing the ruling TDP government and its Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, but may find some difficulty if asked to criticize the Congress party as he can’t blame it for anything or can’t make any allegations against it because he served it for the last 12 years and holds key posts in it.   He is aware that people of the state have punished the Congress party and still ignoring it for dividing the state. So, he is leaving the Congress party after realizing its future is blink in the state. So, he found a nice excuse to for his decision to abandon the sinking Congress ship.   Speaking to his community leaders at Vijayawada, he said “One can’t blame the Congress party for dividing the state. There are several players in, who need to share the blame. But, the key player is former Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy. He cheated the Congress high command and misguided the state leaders also. Congress party was badly affected in the state. I have decided to leave the party only after all our efforts made during last one year to revive its lost glory were failed. I am shifting to the YSR Congress party on the insistence of my followers and party workers. I will strive hard to strengthen the YSR Congress party in the district.”   But, Botsa Satyanarayana, who is blaming former Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy for betraying the party high command and the leaders of the state, has played double games with the people of the state and his party high command as well. While supporting the high command’s decision, he sat for dharna at New Delhi conducted by the then CM Kiran Kumar Reddy protesting the Centre’s decision of bifurcation of the state. His efforts to succeed Kiran Kumar Reddy during the last weeks of the bifurcation are also not any big secret and later he dearly paid for it.   To be honest, Kiran Kumar Reddy alone boldly revolts against his party high command which is very unusual in the Congress history. It is Congress high command that neglected to lend its ears to hear the alarm bells rung by him for the sake of party and the state. Some leaders from the AP state have misguided their high command making false assurances stating that they can bring the party to the power, even after dividing the state, if they were made Chief Minister of the state. Botsa Satyanarayana may know who they are, but not Kiran Kumar Reddy.

Is it the insecure feeling forces TRS to try shortcuts?

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu responded on the Revanth Reddy issue today. Speaking to his cabinet ministers, he said “I would like to know how the TRS fielded five MLC candidates whereas it has only 63 MLAs strength that is enough to pass 3 MLCs only. TRS that is indulged in purchasing the MLAs of other parties is again making allegations against opposition parties. TRS is particularly targeting the TDP and trying to defame it, because it is intact and strong in the Telangana state.”   Although, his reaction is very brief, it underlines the basic reasons for the TRS party’s unholy practices. TRS Chief KCR used to say that TDP will disappear from Telangana once that separate state is formed. But, to his surprise, it not only remained intact but also registered a significant growth in its base in the state during last one year. Over 7 lakhs new members’ enrolment in the state is a fine testimony for it. Obviously, the ruling TRS party may be worried with it. TDP’s strong bond with the BJP is also may be another reason for its worry.   Telangana Chief Minister KCR has been trying to impress Prime Minister Narendra Modi by adopting Swachcha Bharat etc. programs hoping that BJP will snap its ties with the TDP and hugs his TRS party. But, BJP made it clear that it wants to emerge as alternate political power in the state and do not want to remain sub-ordinate to the TRS party in the state. Perhaps, this is not the answer that KCR expects from the BJP. Naturally, he may be quite disappointed with it negative response to his feelers.   Congress party is also not willing to give up its hold on the Telangana state. It is fighting with the TRS government with its full force and spirits. The presence of three major political players in the state indeed is really alarming to the ruling party.   If so, the TRS party would have strengthened its base from the grass roots level, but it chooses a shortcut of weakening the opposition parties by encouraging the opposition parties’ MLAs to join the TRS. Instead of addressing the problems of the poor and middle class sections, it chooses a shortcut of making attractive promises like constructing high rise buildings around Hussen Sagar and Indira Park, providing housing to poor in the OU lands etc. The insecure feeling may be encouraging the TRS Chief KCR to try such shortcuts and gimmicks.   But, no political party has stayed afloat for a long time with such silly ideas. The same thumb rule applies to the TRS also. Hence, if it wants to retain power after next elections, it should concentrate on strengthening its base from grass root levels. This is how the Congress party is surviving for last 6 decades even after facing so many severe crisis.

Political parties find fault in others not in self?

The TRS, YCP and The Congress parties are strongly criticizing the TDP and its Chief Chandrababu Naidu for demoralizing the democratic values taking cue from Revanth Reddy’s issue. Of course, such practices need to be strongly condemned. But, are they all maintaining moral values to uphold the democracy value?   People are aware that the ruling TRS party is encouraging the MLAs of opposition parties to jump fence offering them minister posts or something else. It attracts 4 MLAs each from TDP and Congress parties during its one year of ruling. Although, they all joined the TRS party, still they are continuing as MLAs of their mother parties. Instead of asking them to quit their MLA posts, TRS not only allowed them to continue as MLAs but also allowed them to vote for its MLC candidates today.   Just two days back, it attracts TDP Kukatpalli MLA Madhavaram Krishna Rao into the party merely to make sure its 5th candidate win the MLC elections. IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao justified admitting other party MLAs into the party. Hence, it is very strange to watch the TRS leaders criticizing the TDP, when they don’t find anything wrong with their own practices.   There is no need to explain about corrupt practices of the Congress party. The people of the country have kicked it out from the power merely because for its corrupt practices. People may not need any re-introduction of Jagan Mohan Reddy’s disproportionate assets cases, the 11 charge sheets filed against him and about several IAS officers, who were badly affected with his corrupt practices. However, the three major political players believe that they alone are serene and all others are bad guys.

Botsa Satyanarayana all set to join YSRCP?

Former PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana recently said that the media reports and speculations about switching to YSR Congress party hurt him very much. He said there is no such proposal and will continue in the Congress party. But, those reports and speculations proved to be genuine with the latest development taken place today.   YSR Congress party general secretary Vijayasai Reddy, MPs YV Subba Reddy, senior leaders Jyothula Nehru and some others went to his residence and invited him to join YSR Congress party, for which he is said to be positively responded. He is said to be sought some time to think over about their invitation and offer. He is expected to make some announcement very soon, as he can’t afford to leave this golden opportunity.   But, they offered him Visakha district party in-charge post, instead of his own district Vizianagaram, probably because of strong resistance from the district leaders. YSR Congress party may believe that it would be an amicable solution to this problem. Even though, Botsa Satyanarayana is made in-charge of Visakha district, he can’t afford to lose his grip on his native Vizianagaram district. Obviously, then the district leaders may be forced to leave the party.   Earlier, during Dadi Veerabhadra Rao’s admission into the party, Jagan Mohan Reddy ignored his most trusted leader Konathala Ramakrishna Rao and his followers’ objections. They left the party after facing ill treatment from him. Now, the same situation may repeats in the Vizianagaram district also.
