Revanth Reddy’s bail petition case adjourned

  The ACB special court posted the TDP MLA Revanth Reddy’s bail petition and the ACB’s petition seeking his custody to June 9th. The public prosecutor who appears for the ACB appealed the court to grant five days custody of Revanth Reddy to question him about the balance Rs.4.5 crores amount and to collect his phone calls details.   But, the defence lawyer Jandyala Ravi Shankar argued that his client Revanth Reddy is a victim of political conspiracy planned by Telangana Chief Minister KCR. He reminds the court about CM KCR statement of ‘you will hear sensational news in next one hour’ prior to Revanth Reddy’s arrest by the ACB. He argued that Supreme Court is not considering the evidences collected through sting operations.   The court adjourned the case to June 9th and asked the ACB to file its counter on or before June 8th. If, the court doesn’t grant him bail in the next hearing, then his lawyers may file a separate petition seeking permission to attend the engagement function of his daughter scheduled for June 11th.

CM Camp office at Vijayawada inauguration on 6th

  Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will perform Bhoomi Puja for AP capital city Amaravati at Mandadam village in Thullur mandal tomorrow morning at 8.49 am. However, Pundits will start Homam and other rituals from night 3 am. Hence, CM Chandrababu Naidu will reach Vijayawada today evening and stay there tonight. After completing Bhoomi Puja at Mandadam village, he will return to Vijayawada and inaugurate his camp office readied for him at Governorpeta. He will run the government from there itself three days a week. Hence, nine related departments will shift to Vijayawada very soon. He and the Union Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapati Raju will inaugurate the Kadapa Airport on June 7th.

Errabelli accuses KCR over Horse Trading TD MLAs

Telangana TDLP leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Thursday lambasted Home Minister Nayani Narsimha Reddy for allegedly posting baseless comments on Chandra Babu Naidu to defame the party in Telangana.   Addressing to the media in Palakurthi, Errabelli Dayakar Rao alleged that KCR had offered nearly 20 crores TDP MLAs to join their party and made it clear that they have all necessary records to prove this.   He also asserted that they would hand over all these records to the Central Government and fight the issue legally in the court. He also posted a question that for a party which has only 63 MLAs, how could it win five MLCs? , he cleared that it is only possible when other party MLAs offered money. He also said that TDP MLA Manchi Reddy Kishan Reddy himself acknowledged that he was given money for his defection. -Srikar.Palwai

Congress expels Botsa after he resigns?

  Entire media highlights the news about Congress high command suspending its former PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana from the party for indulging in anti-party activities. AP PCC president Raghuveera Reddy announced the same and said that party will not spare anyone if violates the discipline. He describes the party decision as a strong warning to all those who violates party discipline.   But, it would be interesting to know that Botsa Satyanarayana has sent his resignation letter to his party high command and also to the PCC President Raghuveera Reddy three days back. Instead of approving his resignation letter, Congress party expels him from party hiding the fact that it has his resignation letter in hand. Hence, Congress party seems to be fooled itself by suspending him from party while hiding about his resignation letter. However, it makes no difference for him as he already made arrangements for joining the YSR Congress party on June 7th at 7.10 am.   Raghuveera Reddy said “If anyone wants to leave the Congress party, we won’t object them. But, we will not excuse if they try to harm our party even when they are leaving the party.”   Raghuveera Reddy’s statement hints that he is very much worrying about the damage that Botsa Satyanarayana is going to make to the Congress party in the state, particularly in the Vizianagaram district while leaving the party. Evidently, he may encourage his followers and some important leaders of the party in the district and state as well to jump into the YSR Congress party. However, Congress party may not stop him damaging to the party now. It may be very difficult for it to find a replacement for him in the district. If he takes away the party cadres along with him, then the party has to shut its shop in the district. Probably, that’s why Raghuveera Reddy is worrying about now.

AICC expels Botsa Sathyanarayana

Andhra Pradesh PCC Chief Raguveera Reddy on Friday issued an ultimatum that party would not tolerate any misdeed in party affairs; even any high profile leader is not an exception. Speaking to the media at Vishakapatnam Airport, party high command has suspended former PCC Chief Botsa Sathyanarayana on the grounds of misconduct for acting against parties decisions. He also asserted that Congress would not contest in the heading MLC elections as they do not have enough strength to win. He also proclaimed that Congress will never encourage defection through horse trading the MLAs. The development has come out as Botsa Sathyanarayana decided to join YSRCP on June 7 to revive his political career. -Srikar.Palwai

Congress suspends Botsa from party

  Former PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana was suspended from the Congress party for indulging in anti-party activities. Congress high command informed about its decision to the AP PCC President Raghuveera Reddy by phone yesterday. Botsa Satyanarayana, his family members and their followers are all set to join the YSR Congress party on June 7th. Botsa Satyanarayana has also fixed muhurtham for joining the YSR Congress party. He and his followers will join the party exactly at 7.10 am on June 7th.   Hence, it becomes inevitable for the Congress party to take action against him, but it makes no difference for him as he already made a deal with the YSR Congress party present Jagan Mohan Reddy for joining his party. Although, he is likely to be assigned to Visakhapatnam district, since he can’t afford to lose grip on his native Vizianagaram district, he may do something to keep his hold on the district politics. Obviously, it may drive out some senior leaders like Sujay Krishna Ranga Rao, Baby Nayina and seniors from the YSR Congress party. Then, he may be given charge of Vizianagaram district also. If so, the first thing he may do is encouraging all the Congress party cadres to join the YSR Congress party. Hence, his departure from the party would be a big blow to the beleaguered Congress party. Unless, it finds an urgent replacement for him in the district, it has to close its shop in the district.

20 Army men killed in militants attack in Manipur

  Twenty army personals were killed and 11 injured in militants attack in Manipur on Thursday morning around 9 am. The militants are suspected to be Manipur rebel outfit Peoples Liberation Army (PLA). The militants have used rocket-propelled grenades landmines and automatic weapons in the attack. This incident takes place between Paralong and Charong villages, when a convoy of four army vehicles carrying a team of 6th Dogra Regiment.   The army personal were going for a road opening patrol (ROP) along Tengnoupal-New Samtal road, about 80 km from Imphal. The militants have attacked the army vehicles with a powerful improvised explosive device, said a police official. The militants are suspected to be PLA, supported by the Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup, a revolutionary organization in Manipur, said Manipur Home Secretary J Suresh Babu.   Home Minister Rajnath Singh has summoned an urgent meeting with the Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, Army Chief Dalbir Singh Suhag and Nation Security Advisor Ajit Doval. He asked them not to let any militant escape. He said strongest possible actions should be taken against the militants involved in this attack. The Indo-Myanmar border in Manipur has been closed to stop the militants fleeing to the neighboring country. A massive combing operationhas been ordered to nab the militants and all army installations in Manipur and Nagaland put on high alert to prevent any further attacks by the militants.

Kadapa Airport to become operational from 7th

  The Civil Aviation Ministry has announced that Kadapa Airport will be inaugurated on June 7th. Union Civil Aviation Minister P. Ashok Gajapati Raju and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will inaugurate the airport on June 7th at 11.30 am.   Kadapa airport was built at a cost of Rs.42 crore by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) in 520 acres of land provided by the state government. The airport terminal was built to handle 100 passengers at peak time. The runway is capable to handle ATR-72 type aircraft operations. Airport will be expanded and upgraded to operate A320 flights depending on growth of passenger traffic.   Air Pegasus will be the first to take off from Kadapa Airport to Bengaluru on the June 7th at 11.50 am. It already opened bookings for its air services between Kadapa and Bengaluru. Air Pegasus will take off from Bengaluru at 10.40 am and lands at Kadapa Airport at 11.25 am. Again it will take off from Kadapa at 11.50 am and reaches leave for Bengaluru at 12.35 pm.

CBN sharply reacts to T-HM Nayini statement

  Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu strongly reacted on the Telangana Home Minister Nayini Narasimha Reddy’s statement. Speaking at a meeting in Chebroulu today, Chandrababu Naidu said “Telangana Home Minister is trying to blackmail me by threatening to file cases against me. I am not afraid of cases. He should file a case against his own Chief Minister first for locking our party MLAs in KCR’s house before the MLC elections. Responding on Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Samara Deeksha conducted at Mangalagiri, Chandrababu Naidu said he is creating hurdles for the development of the state and is trying to misguide the people of the state. I am not afraid of his meaningless criticism. I will keep working for the state development.”

Revanth Reddy’s wife fires on KCR

Few days after the arrest of Revanth Reddy in a note for vote scam, his wife Geetha Reddy broke out on Chief Minister K.Chandrashekar Rao alleging that he has conspired to rope in Revanth Reddy in to the issue to suppress him politically. Geetha Reddy lashed out at KCR saying that he ruined our family’s happiness ahead of her daughter Nymisha reddy’s engagement which is supposed to take place at June 11. She said that his husband was planned and roped into the scam as KCR could not tolerate Revanth’s efforts to point out the corruption taking place. She also finally expressed her hopefulness that his husband would be back home very soon after investigation kickstarted. _Srikar.Palwai

Konathala Ramakrishna likely to join TDP

Paving way to a major development in Andhra pradesh politics, YSRCP leader Konathala Ramakrishna is likely to join Telugu Desham Party to revive his sagging political career after the defeat of YSCRP in 2014 general elections. There were also few reports that he would join in BJP but he has chosen to stay mum on this issue. According to a reliable source, it is said that TDP too have understood to give a nod and also ready to give an opportunity to contest in Vishakapatnam MLC elections under local bodies. It is also reported that defection seems to be possible well before June 16 which is set as a deadline for the nominations. Maggi Not a just two minutes job now

  It is hard to believe a most popular food product ‘Maggi’ produced by an international giant like Nestle Company is consisting harmful contents like mono sodium glutamate. Delhi government found that there was no mention about it on the labels, which is an offense. Delhi government has banned Maggi Masala Taste Maker for two weeks, after finding lead content above prescribed limits in the 10 samples it collects from different places in the city.   Satyendar Jain, the health minister of Delhi government said that fresh stocks also will be tested in the labs before taking any final decision. He said the government will test the Noodle products of other companies also. The leading retail chain in Delhi is taking off this popular food product from its shelves following a complaint by the Centre to the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission.   The Nestle Company representatives told the media that they have tested their product in an external lab and found no harmful contents in their products. Bollywood grand old man Amitabh Bachchan, who once acted in the commercial advertisement of this popular product said that he can’t be blamed for it as he stopped working for it two years back. He said, however he is ready to cooperate with the government in this case.   Maggi has become very popular and favorite food product for children and elders as well because of its irresistible taste and ease of cooking. It takes decades for Maggi to make the traditional Indians to add it in their favorite menu list. But, it takes hardly few days to collapse its multimillion dollar business in the country. Hence, some rival companies’ hand in this conspiracy can’t be ruled out.   However, Nestle has to prove that Maggi is safe for eating and no harmful contents are included to enhance its taste. It may take few months or even a year for the Nestle Company to recover from this unexpected jolt. Hence, all other national and international food production companies doing crores of business in the country should treat this as an eye opener and ensure their food products are also safe for eating or drinking.

Minister Kamineni criticizes CM KCR

  Kamineni Srinivasa Rao, the Minister for Health and Medical Education of Andhra Pradesh state, responding on Revanth Reddy’s issue said that Telangana Chief Minister KCR has begun these ugly political practices of attracting other party MLAs into his party in a bid to eliminate opposition parties from the state. Many TDP and Congress party MLAs were lured and attracted into his TRS party during last one year period. Otherwise, his TRS party can’t win 5 MLC seats with its own strength. He asked Telangana CM how and who released the video clippings to media when ACB DGP MA Khan has stated that ACB has not released any video footage to the media. Kamineni said this itself is proving that it was a prepallned conspiracy to trap the TDP MLA. He said that it is surprising to see the TRS ministers and its party leaders criticizing others while they are indulged in corrupt practices for attracting other party MLAs into their TRS party.”

MRPS Supreme hits out at KCR

Hitting out at Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, MRPS leader Manda Krishna Madiga in a program held under Telangana Journalists Assosciation assailed that CM has cheated the SC,ST BC and Minorities over his one year regime in Telangana. He also reminded that KCR had betrayed on his statement to give Chief Ministry to dalits. It is so unfortunate that not a single woman has been inducted into the cabinet as well as from Madiga and Mala community too. “As women are deprived of cabinet berth, we will stage a protest “CHALO HYDERABAD” on 5th of this month” he stated. He also lashed out at KCR saying his one year rule has not been satisfactory and fruitful. He also questioned that when they could find 46 thousand lakes as part of Mission Kakathiya in Telangana, why can’t he find out 1300 people who were martyred during Telangana movement. _Srikar.Palwai

  For the first time after Revanth Reddy episode, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu fiercely attacked his counterpart of Telangana state KCR and the main opposition leader of the state Jagan Mohan Reddy during a meeting held at Renigunta in Chittoor district on Wednesday.   Addressing the people, “Ever since, TRS party comes into power in the Telangana state, its Chief Minister KCR is moving ahead with only one mission that is attracting other party MLAs into his party. Our opposition leader, who is facing corruption charges and roaming around courts, has joined hands with him. They both are conspiring against me and my government. It was proved with YSR Congress party voting for the TRS candidate in the MLC elections. But, they can’t make any harm to me or my government let them try how much they can. It is because I have never indulged in corrupt practices in my life. I have a clean track record for the last three decades and will live like a fire for rest of my life time. Our opposition party leader has joined hands with the neighbor government and creating hurdles for our state development. I am sure people are noticing him and his evil plans. It is very unfortunate to have an opposition leader like him.”

AP gets NIT with 300 seats share

  The meeting between Andhra Pradesh state and Union HRD Ministers held today at New Delhi brings great news for the students of the state. Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani has agreed to set up National Institute of Technology in the West Godavari district in the state.   Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao briefing the media said “NIT will be set up with total 480 seats strength out of which 300 seats including 60 supernumerary seats will be allotted to students of our state. Minister Smriti Irani has also agreed for commencement of courses from this academic year itself from a temporary campus as it may take a couple of years for constructing permanent campus. She promised to speed up the process for setting up Central University and Tribal University in the state.   Minister Smriti Irani has laid foundation stones for three premium institutions-IIT, IIIT and IISER on 28th March in Chittoor district. IIT Tirupati will be set up at Meralapaka village in Yerpedu mandal near Tirupati in Chittoor district, Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) at Sri City, Satyavedu mandal and Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) in Tirupati.   Earlier, in January 2015 she laid foundation stone for IITV (Indian Institute of Technology-Visakhapatnam) at Visakhapatnam. All these premium institutes will start functioning from temporary campuses from this academic year itself until permanent buildings are constructed within next couple of years. Centre will provide 100 percent funding for setting up these premium institutions and the state government has to provide sufficient lands for them.   With this the Modi government has granted five premeum educational institutions to the Andhra Pradesh state within one year, which is a remarkable acheivment.

No change in Bhoomi Puja Program: Pulla Rao

  Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Minister Prattipati Pulla Rao rubbished the reports appeared in a section of media that state the Andhra Pradesh government may postpone its Bhoomi Puja program of capital city construction scheduled for June 6th as the elections code of conduct comes into effect in the state with the announcement of Council elections schedule.   He said “There is no change in our plans. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu along with his family members will perform the Bhoomi Puja at Mandadam village on June 6th as decided earlier. The election code of conduct doesn’t apply to such programs. Later, we will lay foundation stone for the capital city Amaravati on Dushera festival day. We will invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers and many other eminent people to that function.”   Ministers Prattipati Pulla Rao, Ravella Kishor Babu, Tadikonda TDP MLA T Shravan Kumar and some officials have inspected the location of Bhoomi Puja on Tuesday.   It is to be noted that YSR Congress party president Jagan Mohan Reddy sat for two days’ Samara Deeksha at Mangalagiri from Wednesday. Hence, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu may send his ministers to Mandadam village yesterday to make sure there will no disruptions to the Bhoomi Puja program as Jagan Mohan Reddy strategically chooses Mangalagiri for conducting his Samara Deeksha, where some farmers are not willing to handover their lands to the state government for capital city construction.

Are the 5 BJP MLAs chosen NOTA option intentionally?

  BJP Telangana state president Kishan Reddy has been elected as an MLA for the 3rd time and has a vast political experience. So, one can’t believe that he has no idea about NOTA option in the ballot paper. But, he is saying that he and four MLAs of his party have chosen NOTA option as they have mistaken about its purpose. Hence, though they all gave their first priority votes to their alliance partner TDP, their votes were declared invalid for choosing NOTA option. They seem to be intentionally reversed their votes by choosing NOTA option.   Perhaps, Revanth Reddy’s episode may make them to choose this NOTA option or Kishan Reddy’s lack of interest to have alliance with the TDP from the very begining. He said that he will report this matter to his high command. It is indicating that they have chosen NOTA option intentionally.
