TRS in fix with EC decision?

It seems the ruling TRS party’s idea of fielding its 5th candidate in the MLC election to be held under MLAs quota has backfired. The Chief Election Commissioner has decides to conduct the polling in open ballot system instead of secret ballot system. It prevents the MLAs other than the TRS party to cross vote in favour of the TRS 5th candidate as they may be disqualified for violating the party whip.
Hence, only those MLAs whose parties have agreed to support the TRS can cast their votes to its 5th candidate. Congress party has already issued whip to its 22 MLAs including the four who jumped into the TRS party long back. TDP also may issue whip to 14 MLAs including those three serving now the TRS party. So, they all can’t cast their votes to the TRS candidate, even though the High Court permits them to take part in the MLC elections. Hence, TRS President KCR has summoned an urgent meeting of his legislative party leaders on Friday evening to discuss about this problem.
