NGT issues stay orders preventing any works at Amaravati

  While, the AP government is gearing for foundation stone laying ceremony for its capital city Amravati by Prime Minister Narendra Modi October 22nd, the National Green Tribunal (NGT) gives it a shock by issuing stay orders prohibiting any construction activities in the ear marked area of capital zone. NGT issued stay orders responding to a petition filed by a person named Srimannaarayana.   He complains that AP government is going to construct capital city on the fertile lands where two-three crops a year are grown. He argued that the land is suitable agriculture and not for constructing high rise buildings. Hence, NGT issued stay orders prohibiting any construction works in the capital city zone. It also orders the AP government not to do any land leveling works and not to remove any crops from this zone. NGT adjourned the case to November 5th.   But, the AP government has already started land leveling works to erect dais, to provide place for vehicles parking, conducting cultural programs etc. in the area. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s schedule is also finalized for this program. So, the statement government can’t hold back its decision or programs at this point. So, it may file a counter petition and proceed ahead with its program.

KCR busy in farm house, while state on bandh

  Opposition parties in Telangana are conducting a statewide bandh today protesting TRS government’s attitude towards farmers. They are demanding the government to clear all crop loans at one time by releasing Rs. 8, 500 crores. But, Chief Minister KCR rejected their proposal stating his government can’t release such a huge amount at a time. So, the opposition parties are conducting bandh today protesting his negligent attitude towards farmers.   However, Chief Minister KCR appeared to be least worried about their bandh. Instead he seems to be found this as an opportunity to inspect his ginger crop in his farm house, about which he is worrying since last few days. CM KCR is currently inspecting ginger crop in his farm house that was damaged to some extent due to heavy rains showered few days ago.   This is sending a wrong message to the people of the state, especially to the farmers. It is hinting that he is more interested in his farm house crops and not the crops across the state and the miserable condition of the farmers. Probably, opposition parties may criticize him highlight this point.

Will merge Telangana with AP again: Balram Naik

  Former Union Minister P Balram Naik triggered a fresh controversy with his statement and gives breather to beleaguered TRS party. Congress party conducted Raithu Bharosa Yatra at Narsampeta in Warnagal district yesterday.   Speaking on the occasion he said “People of the state should be grateful to our party president Sonia Gandhi for creating Telangana state. But, they voted for TRS. I appeal the people of Warangal to vote for our party in the bye-elections otherwise we will merge Telangana state with Andhra Pradesh again. I don’t think there is anything wrong in my statement,” he said.   Obviously, it gives breather to beleaguered TRS party which comes under opposition attacks over farmers’ suicides and crop loans waiver issues. Hence, TRS leaders start attacking him and his party for hurting Telangana people’s sentiment and demanding an unconditional apology for it from Congress party. Even Congress leaders are opposing threatening the people.   But, everyone knows that no one can merge Telangana state with Andhra Pradesh, especially Congress party that is not in power in both states or at Centre. But, TRS leaders do not want to speak about this reasoning. They just grab his statement and start attacking the Congress party that is troubling their TRS government with its agitations on farmers’ suicides and crop loan waiver issues.

Arvind Kejriwal expels Food Minister

  Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today expels Asim Ahmed Khan, minister for Food and Civil Supply, Environment and Forest and Election departments for indulging in corrupt practices. Kejriwal replaces him with Imran Hussain. Interestingly, Arvind Kejriwal summoned a press meet to announce this decision.   Speaking to media, “I expelled Asim Ahmed Khan from my cabinet after finding that he is demanding bribe from a builder. I have taken action against him even before media reports about it. We come to power promising the people to eliminate corruption from government. Hence, I won’t spare any one either he may be my deputy minister or anyone. Our motto is not to enjoy power and earn money, but service to people and eliminating corruption. I believe that we have to abide by our promise made to the people. So, I took quick action against our minister,” said Arvind Kejriwal.   Generally, any government in the country will try to hide such corrupt practices by its ministers or elected representatives, but never seen a Chief Minister openly declaring about corrupt practice taken place in his government and taking action against him without any hesitation. Music Director Ravindra Jain Passes away

  Veteran Bollywood music director Ravindra Jain (71) passes away. He was ailing with kidney related disease since some time and was taking treatment at Leelavati Hospital in Mumbai. He breathed his last on Friday. During his five decades of association with film industry, he gave music to more than 175 films including two Telugu films Daasi and Brahmarshi Vishwamitra. There is a length of his super hit films like Geeth Gaatha chal, Chith Chor, Soudagar, Ram Teri Ganga Maili etc. He also gave music to many popular TV serials like Ramayan, Nupoor etc. for nearly 3 decades. He was blind by birth but gifted with singing and music knowledge. He starts singing Jain bhajans while he was a kid. There are more than hundred films, bhajans, ghajals, private albums that speaks about his versatile musical talent.

BJP may win Bihar Assembly Elections: Survey Report

  A latest survey jointly conducted by India TV and C Voter agencies, predicted that BJP lead NDA and Nitish-Laloo combo Janata Parivar may get nearly equal number of votes but, NDA may have slight edge over Janata Parivar.   According to its survey report, NDA is likely to get 119 seats and Janata Parivar 116 out of 243 seats in Bihar Assembly. Rest of the seats may go to others. The magic number for forming the government is 117 seats. If the survey reports are to be assumed genuine then NDA’s tally may definitely increase during the course of five-phase elections process that begins from October 12th.   India Today also announced its survey reports yesterday. According to it, NDA may come into power with absolute majority of 125 seats and Janata Parivar may get 106 seats. Almost all survey reports predict that BJP lead NDA alliance may come into power in Bihar. If so, rest of the parties like Samajwadi, MIM etc. may be quite disappointed as they want to play king-maker role after the elections. Especially, MIM’s dream to set its foot in Bihar with these elections may be shattered.

BJP will never join hands with Jagan: Dr.Kamineni

  YSR Congress party leaders are arguing that when their leader Jagan Mohan Reddy is doing indefinite hunger strike for the cause of AP state, ruling TDP should extend its full support his agitation because he is doing the job that is actually should be done by it.   But, TDP leaders argue that a person who robbed the state and pocketed more than one lakh crores during his father late YS Rajashekhar Reddy’s regime should return the money to the government before making such claims.TDP ministers and leaders are also advising him to conduct his hunger strike at New Delhi and ask Prime Minister Narendra Modi about special status. They are asking him why he is cautiously avoid taking name of Narendra Modi during his deekshas.   AP Medical and Health Minister Dr. Kamineni Srinivasa Rao, who represents BJP in the AP government said, “Jagan Mohan Reddy is doing hunger strike merely to keep his party cadre intact. BJP will never join hands with a corrupt person like him. Our relation with TDP is as strong as ever and so, Jagan need not to dream for an alliance with our party.”   Kamineni made this statement when he attends for inauguration of primary medical center at Sri Kurmam in Srikakulam district, responding to a media question about Jagan’s ambition to have alliance with BJP in case it snaps ties with TDP.   But, Jagan has not lost his hope to have alliance with BJP. So is he concentrating his attacks on TDP instead of BJP over special status issue. Jagan and his party leaders are repeatedly insisting TDP to recall its two union ministers from Modi’s cabinet in protest. None of the YSR Congress leaders dare to question Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who alone can take a decision on this particular issue. But, they are not hesitating to criticize Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu for the same, probably because he is strongly supporting AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.

GHMC Elections likely in Jan.2016?

  Telangana Chief Minister KCR reportedly told his party MLAs that GHMC elections are likely to be held during January 2016. He said this during TRS party legislative members meeting held at party head office Telangana Bhavan yesterday. Actually, TRS government postponed the elections taking excuse of reorganizing divisions in GHMC limits keeping in view of grown population in the twin cities.   But, it changed its mind after receiving a letter from GHMC commissioner Somshekhar explaining about problems involved in reorganization. So, the TRS Government issued order to him recently asking him to ignore its previous G.O. and continue the existing 150 divisions as ever before. So, it can be assumed that GHMC elections are likely to be held in January, 2016 as said by Telangana Chief Minister KCR. GHMC elections were postponed because of TRS hasty decision and also GHMC lost central funds allotted to Municipal Corporations for development works.

Modi breaks his silence on Dadri lynching incident

  Finally, Prime Minister Narendra Modi breaks his silence on Dadri lynching incident today during his elections campaigning meeting held at Munger in Navda, Bihar on Thursday. He said “Laloo Prasad is insulting entire Yadav community by stating Shaitan (devil) entered a human body and yet he is expecting the people vote for his party in the elections. Is it necessary for Hindus and Muslims to fight with each other or else we should fight against poverty? Some narrow minded politicians are trying to politicize this issue in wake of Assembly elections. People shouldn’t allow such politicians. Even if I ever try to speak on such issues, people need not to lend their ears. We should hear what President of India Sri Pranab Mukharji said about this and follow his suggestions. We should keep in mind that we shouldn’t destroy the social fabric of our country."   "We should focus our full attention on eliminating poverty and development of our country only. My government is striving hard to develop the state and thus announced a huge package of Rs.1.65 lakh crores for it. But, some politicians of the state are raising objections for it also. Don’t they want the state to develop like any other states in the country? Late Jayaprakash Narayan fought his entire life against the Congress party but, Nitish and Laloo both are hugging it. Congress party that was thrown out of power in several states is trying to come into power in Bihar through back door using Janata Parivar. Hence, people of the state should question themselves whether they want to vote for development or for jungle raj?” asks PM Narendra Modi.

I wish Jagan’s deeksha become successful: Vundavalli

  Former MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar was expelled from the Congress party for opposing bifurcation of the state. Although, he doesn’t join any party until now he is speaking in support of Jagan Mohan Reddy and his party since last few months, thus giving clear hints about his interest to join it. Reports appeared in the media stating that Jagan Mohan Reddy also invites him to join his party. He didn’t join it till today but speaking in support of his deeksha for special status.   Speaking to media at New Delhi, “I wish Jagan Mohan Reddy’s deeksha become success and he achieve special status for the state with it,” said Vundavalli.   He further said, “Actually, Congress and BJP both parties betrayed the people of the AP state. While, the Congress divided the state against their wish, BJP is cheating them by not implementing the promises made to the state in the AP Re-Organization Bill-2014. BJP takes sharp ‘U’ turn on special status promise also after coming into power. Modi government is saying that neighboring states are objecting granting special status to the AP state. But, it is not true. No state is raising any objections. Even if some state objects, if the Modi government is really keen to grant special status to the state then no one can stop it. M Venkaiah Naidu is also bluffing people of the state about this matter.   This statement made by him at New Delhi was published in Jagan’s own media immediately. It is hinting that YSR Congress party is also keen to admit Vundavalli into party. Vundavalli is also appears to be keen to join it. Then why is the day in taking a decision?

Jagan’s timing of deeksha is sending wrong message?

  Jagan Mohan Reddy’s timing for conducting deekshas was always proved to be very wrong and once again it was proved now. He starts indefinite hunger strike from yesterday at Guntur demanding special status for the state. But, his timing and location chosen for his deeksha is sending wrong message to people of the state in wake of historical event of laying foundation stone for the state capital city Amravati on October 22nd in the same district.   Actually, being the main opposition leader in the state, he is expected to attend that historical event of the state, but he is creating hurdles for it with his deeksha. He is trying to provoke people of the state with his deeksha to fight against government for special status. If he is successful in his efforts, it would create an embarrassing situation to the state government during foundation stone laying ceremony to which VVIPs from all over will be attending. He is sending a wrong message to the people that he doesn’t want the event conduct smoothly and so turns a trouble maker.   Jagan Mohan Reddy opposed land acquisition for capital city construction. But, he is not speaking about it instead agitating for special status. Although, he sat for indefinite hunger strike, everyone knows how and when it is going to end. Police may disrupt his deeksha and shift him to hospital anytime in the next three-four days when his health condition deteriorates. Moreover government can’t let him throw wrench in its plans. So, it may ask police to disrupt his deeksha. Jagan Mohan Reddy is claiming that he is fighting for the sake of state and its people’s interests, but his timing of deeksha is sending very wrong signals and makes the people hate him.

AP Government approves BIACL loan proposal

  AP government that is planning to construct a world class international airport at Bhogapuram in Vizianagaram district formed Bhogapuram International Airport Corporation (BIACL) few weeks ago. BIACL sent proposal to statement government seeking permission to collect Rs. 1500 crore loans from banks and financial institutions for land purchase and rehabilitation works at Bhogapuram. Government approved its proposal and also approves its other proposal for setting up its head office at Visakhapatnam. The government agrees to appoint Managing Director to BIACL very soon.   State Government is also planning to construct green field air airports at Kuppam in Chittoor district, Orvakallu in Kurnool district, Dagadarthi in Nellore districts. It is planning to constitute special purpose vehicles to handle the matters related to these green field airports.

Bihar Police issues Arrest Warrant against Akbaruddeen

  Owaisi brothers both have a track record of provoking people with their hate-speeches. Police have filed cases against them for the same reasons for several times in the past and the younger Owaisi even spent few days behind bars in Adilabad some time ago. Then he secured bail after assuring the court that no such repentance of the same mistake again. However, he proved that he can’t get rid of his odd practice of making hate-speeches merely to win the hearts of his community people.   He made some inflammatory speech at an election meeting held at Sontha Haat under Kochadhaman Assembly constituency on Sunday. He used abusive language against members of Parliament including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and excluding his elder brother Asaduddeen Owaisi. His provocative speech instantly triggers communal violence in the area. Two Hindu Temples were vandalized.   Hence, Kisanganj Superintendent of Police Rajiv Ranjan ordered the police to file an FIR and also issued an arrest warrant against him on Monday. He was booked under IPC Sections 144, 153A and 188 for creating enmity between people, disrupting peace, disobedience by public servant. Akbaruddeen has returned to Hyderabad after creating troubles in Bihar state.   So, Bihar police may serve him arrest warrant to Hyderabad police and may ask him to surrender to them in a specific time otherwise they may reach Hyderabad to arrest him. His elder brother Asaduddeen Owaisi told the media that his party’s legal experts will respond on his brother’s arrest warrant after getting copy of the FIR. Akbaruddeen may land in big problems if Bihar police sent him to jail during peak of elections period.

Centre clears file granting funds for AIMS, Mangalagiri

  Today, Modi Government clears the file granting funds for constructing All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) at Manglagiri in Andhra Pradesh along with three other states. Statement government allocated 193 acres of land at Mangalagiri for this purpose. It will be surrendered to the Centre for further processing. With this AP state gets total six premium institutions during just 15 months after bifurcation of the state.   They are Indian Institute of Management (IIM) at Visakhapatnam, National Institute of Technology (NIT) at Tadepalli Gudem, West Godavari district, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Indian Institute of Science Education and Research IISR) in Chittoor district and now AIIMS at Mangalagiri. Classes of all these premium educational institutions will commence from this academic year itself in the temporary campuses allocated for them in the same districts.   AP Government is reportedly planning to ask Prime Minister Narendra Modi to foundation stone for AIIMS also after laying foundation stone for AP capital city Amaravati on October 22.

Winter Assembly Sessions at Thullur!!!

  If reports are to be believed, AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is planning to conduct winter Assembly Sessions at Thullur, where foundation stone will be laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 22nd. According to reports, statement government is reportedly planning to engage a private consultancy company to make necessary arrangements for conducting the Assembly sessions at Thullur. It was reported that MLAs and Ministers will be provided accommodation in Hai Land and government guest houses in Vijayawada and Guntur cities.   It also came to know that government is arranging Yoga classes for MLAs one day before the sessions. For this purpose, it is inviting Baba Ramdev to Vijayawada. However, the government has to confirm this report about holding Assembly sessions at Thullur. If, the reports are genuine, then statement government has to clarify why it wants to conduct the meetings in such a place where there is no proper infrastructure available for it.   It also has to justify why it is engaging private consultancy firm when there are Roads and Buildings, Electricity and several other departments are in its hand which are very much capable to handle this task. Earlier, the statement government drops the idea of conducting Assembly sessions at Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam taking excuse of security risks and additional financial burden on the government, although there is enough infrastructure was available in both places. In this context, if the government is really planning to conduct Assembly sessions at Thullur, then it has to justify its decision or else may face severe criticism from opposition parties.

Jagan misses flight, deeksha likely delayed

  YSR Congress party president Jagan Mohan Reddy who is going to sit for an indefinite hunger strike at Nallapadu in Guntur city demanding special status for AP state is reaching Vijayawada by car as he missed his flight. Hence, his deeksha for special status may be delayed for few hours. He will reach Vijayawada and visit Kanakadurga temple. Then he will starts for Guntur. YSR Congress leaders have made arrangements at Gannavaram airport to give him a grand welcome. They are very much disappointed to hear this news about Jagan missing the flight. So, they are now reportedly planning to welcome him at Vijayawada near Kanakadurga Temple. Jagan is expected to reach Vijayawada around 12 noon and the venue around 2pm.

No reshuffle or expansion of cabinet: Harish Rao

  Media is abuzz with speculations about Telangana cabinet ministers reshuffle and expansion. A section of media speculates that Chief Minister KCR is going to send out some under-performing ministers from his cabinet. Several ministers’ names appeared in its speculation. It predicts that cabinet may be reshuffled during Dushera festival time. But, Minister for Heavy Irrigation T Harish Rao rubbished the media reports about cabinet reshuffle or expansion.   He said there is no such proposal right now and said all ministers are very well performing their duties up to the mark. But, he confirmed that nominated posts will be filled up very shortly. He said Chief Minister KCR will start visiting Telangana districts after current Assembly sessions are over. He said that his government is moving in right direction and so need not to think about opposition parties’ allegations.

Jagan is speaking meaningless: Ayyanna Patrudu

  YSR Congress party President Jagan Mohan Reddy alleges that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu zeroed up Bhogapuram for constructing airport because his ministers and a MP lands are there in the vicinity. He alleges that MP Avanthi Srinivas, Ministers Ganta Srinivasa Rao and Ayyanna Patrudu have lands around Bhogapuram.   Minister Ayyanna Patrudu sharply reacted on his allegations. He said “The question is whether we have lands around or not. One should check whether the airport location is finalized in accordance with the report given by the Centre or not."   “Jagan Mohan Reddy is without any basic knowledge about airport and land acquisition. He is making allegations against everyone merely to create some wrong impression among the people on us.”   “Of course, I have resort and lands around there. But, I am ready to handover my lands to government if required. He should remember that even his father Rajashekhar Reddy appreciated our resort as one of the best resort in the state” said Ayyanna Patrudu.

BJP may gain advantage of their delicate relationship

  People may recall how the Congress party vice-president Rahul Gandhi forced the then Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh to scrap the ordinance made on the peoples representation act that lead to disqualification of RJD Chief Laloo Prasad Yadav from contesting in the elections. Hence, they both should treat each other as enemies, but they are working together in Bihar Assembly elections. However, Rahul Gandhi is carefully avoiding sharing common platform with tainted Laloo Prasad Yadav. But, whether or not he is interested, he has to share common platform with him for at least two to three times during the fourth and final round of assembly elections. Until then, Congress and RJD leaders are campaigning separately.   This gives a chance for BJP and others to question their fragile relations. BJP asks them how they are going to run the government, when they are maintaining distance with each other. BJP is also questioning about the instable relationship between Laloo Prasad Yadav and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who are contesting under Janta Parivar umbrella.   Laloo and Nitish Kumar both took 100 assembly constituencies, which is a clear sign to know that Laloo wants to have control over Nitish government. If so, there would be little chance for a stable government if Janata Parivar comes into power.   BJP is trying to convince the people of Bihar to that it alone can give a stable government. BJP and its alliance partners are quite sure to win the elections and form the government on their own without any outside help. Laloo and Nitish are expecting to win at least 50-75 seats each. Congress is expecting to win at least 15-20 seats. The magic number to form the government is 117 out of 243 seats.   However, MIM and Samajwadi Parties around is creating tense situation for all of them. They both are quite confident to take away a fair number of seats with which they want to play King Maker role, in case Janata Parivar or BJP fails to win enough seats on their own to form the government. Public pulse can be gauged after the first round of elections scheduled for October 12th.
