Centre clears file granting funds for AIMS, Mangalagiri

Today, Modi Government clears the file granting funds for constructing All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) at Manglagiri in Andhra Pradesh along with three other states. Statement government allocated 193 acres of land at Mangalagiri for this purpose. It will be surrendered to the Centre for further processing. With this AP state gets total six premium institutions during just 15 months after bifurcation of the state.
They are Indian Institute of Management (IIM) at Visakhapatnam, National Institute of Technology (NIT) at Tadepalli Gudem, West Godavari district, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Indian Institute of Science Education and Research IISR) in Chittoor district and now AIIMS at Mangalagiri. Classes of all these premium educational institutions will commence from this academic year itself in the temporary campuses allocated for them in the same districts.
AP Government is reportedly planning to ask Prime Minister Narendra Modi to foundation stone for AIIMS also after laying foundation stone for AP capital city Amaravati on October 22.
