The TRS, which is launching the daily, 'Namaste Telangana,' has asked its leaders and cadres to take up publicity campaign for the paper. District party presidents have been made in-charges of the campaign and every mandal party president given charge of the subscription campaign. The target for every mandal-level leader is at least 1,000 subscriptions in the first three months of the launch of the paper. In other steps, the TRS chief has instructed the party leaders to identify young writers and poets from the region to contribute articles and reports to the paper regularly. The TRS chief has held that the print and electronic media in AP is controlled by people from Seemandhra, a point that had been reiterated by the secret chapter 8 of the Srikrishna Committee report, which was made public recently. KCR had bought telecast rights in Raj News TV channel sometime ago. On Monday, on the occasion of the Telugu New Year, Raj News gave way to T News, a channel completely owned by KCR; it has begun promoting the party's views 24/7 from the Ugadi Day. Having forayed into electronic and print media, KCR appears to have braced himself for a long fight in his quest for Telangana.
