TRS Chief KCR has attracted TDP MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav into TRS by offering him a minister post in his cabinet hoping that he will simply divert the voters in the Hyderabad city towards TRS party in the upcoming GHMC elections.

But, can he convince the Andhra people settled in the city to vote for TRS? Can he convince the Muslim people to vote for TRS instead of MIM party? Can he convince the people of other states, who settled in the city to vote for TRS party? The answer may be a big ‘No’ for all these questions.

The Andhra people settled in the city have been voting him because he was in the TDP that they believe as their home party. They may divide between the TDP and the YSR Congress parties, but certainly not favors the TRS, merely because Talasani has joined it.

Need not to say the large section of Muslim community in the city would like to go along with the MIM than the TRS party. Obviously, it will make the Hindu community to prefer BJP or its alliance partner TDP but not TRS party. The Hindus in the city may rather prefer to vote for BJP than for TRS as it is kneeling down before the MIM party.

The Christian community in the city may divide between the Congress and the YSR Congress parties rather than aligning with TRS party. The reason is its aggressiveness. So, though CM KCR has laid foundation stone to the Christian Bhavan today at Hyderabad, he can’t expect to pocket all their votes to his party alone.

All the outsiders settled in the city also may not prefer to vote for TRS as they are scared with its aggressiveness. It reminds them about a Shivsena party of Maharashtra or some other party that doesn’t wants to see the outsiders around. So, Talasani’s entry into TRS may not much helpful to it but of course he is very much fortunate to become a minister post for nothing.If he couldn't make way for TRS into GHMC office after the elections, probably he may get appropriate treatement from CM KCR for his failure.
