P Ramkumar, who attempted to end his life when he was rounded up by the Chennai police and picked up from his house in Meenakshipuram village in Sengottai in a late night operation has revealed some shocking facts about what led to the gruesome murder of Infosys employee Swathi by him. According to the police, Ramkumar said that he proposed to her in public several times. But Swathi ignored them and verbally abused him on his look, which Ramkumar couldn't bear. This angered him and is said to be the vital reason which has led to him murdering her in broad day light.

Ramkumar, has slit his throat when police traced his location and barged into the place he was staying to arrest him. Doctors now say that he is out of danger and that he is able to speak now. Police sources said that the victim knew the accused and also that they are friends with each other on social networking sites and also had each other's phone numbers as well. But they said, though she was a friend on the social networking site, she did not encourage him and did not respond to his comments. Ramkumar is said to have tracked her activities and kept stalking her on Facebook and a later moved to a house closer to hers. He is said to have come to Chennai to become an actor in Tamil Film Industry.
