The bomb explosion at Bangalore yesterday triggers political explosions further. Soon after the explosion, senior Congress leader Shakeel Ahmad tweets, "If the blast near BJP's office in Bangalore is a terror attack, it will certainly help the BJP politically on the eve of election."

Obviously, there were chain of reactions but, cooled down in no time. BJP president Rajnath Singh said “Terrorism should not be seen as a loss or gain.” BJP senior leader Shahnawaz Hussain said, “There should be no politics on such incidents."

While BJP played it cool, Congress jumped at once to condemn Shakeel’s tweet and distances itself from his statement. Congress general secretary Janardhan Dwivedi said "Any terror incident is a matter of concern. It is a national and international problem. It is a challenge for the country. It should not be seen as political gain."

Union minister of state for home RPN Singh also appealed the leaders not to politicize the issue that need to be addressed seriously. Home minister Shushil Kumar Shinde has ordered for a probe on the blast.

However, Shakeel Ahmad supporting what he said “My statement is not made with any political intentions but it was a general opinion. The way people normally express their sympathy to a family hit by some tragic incident, I also expressed my views. When, I came to know that the incident happens at BJP door step, I said people of the state may shower sympathy on it. It is just a sympathetic note and nothing else.”
