Violence over K'taka cabinet reshuffle

The Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah got a go ahead from the party high command Sonia Gandhi for a cabinet reshuffle and he has sacked 14 ministers and inducted 13 members into his Council of Ministry in the long awaited rejig. But the party workers and supporters of those sacked were not happy with the decision and turned voilent.

 

The workers blocked the Bengaluru-Mysuru highway getting the traffic to a standstill. They burnt effigies of Siddaramaiah and Congress leader in the Lok Sabha, Mallikarjuna M Kharge. Commercial complexes were also shut in some areas as the party workers had called for a bandh.
