People of the AP state wonder whether to pity or laugh at PCC President Raghuveera Reddy’s efforts to strengthen his Congress party. Except he, there is no one seen in his party now. In other words, the Congress party has turned into another Janasena party in the state with his one man show. But, Raghuveera Reddy can’t help. So, now and then he comes to media to hit the ruling TDP government, probably not to question it but to remind the people about his party’s existence in the state. So, he conducted a ‘Prajala Godu’ meeting at Vijayawada with farmers and self-help women groups, whose loans were not cleared by the government. His intention is to highlight the government’s failure in implementing its elections promises.

Speaking on the occasion, “Actually, our party wants to bring to the notice of the state government about their miseries in the upcoming Assembly sessions. The government is conveniently ignoring its elections promises after coming into power. But, being a responsible opposition party, we are trying to alert the government by submitting the views expressed by the common people here in this meeting,” he said.

Of course, TDP government has the moral responsibility of implementing all its elections promises including the crop, gold, dwakra loans. Hence, the government also has started clearing the crop loans in phased manner. CM Chandrababu Naidu also time and again is reiterating that he is committed to implement all his elections’ promises. But, during implementation of crop loans waiver promise, the state government has found lakhs of fake loan accounts that runs into thousands of crores amount. Several bankers also acknowledged this bitter fact. So, the state government decides to ignore those fake loan accounts and clear only genuine ones.

he Congress and YSR Congress parties that are struggling for their existence have been trying to sling mud on the state government by mobilizing these groups to attend their meetings. However, they both may ignore them once these groups serve their purpose, because no party can argue to clear the fake loans.
