These days BJP become hot favorite for all those political leaders who are looking for a new abode in AP. It begins with Congress leaders D Purandeswari and Kavuri and is still continuing with latest addition of Kanna Lakshmi Narayana. If sources are to be believed, many senior Congress leaders may take plunge into BJP in the next five years as the Congress future is blinking both at state and central level.

Konathala Rama Krishna, who recently came out of YSR Congress party, is also likely to board BJP ship. But, it is interesting to see these senior leaders are getting attracted to BJP that is not in power in the state, instead of ruling TDP. Perhaps, someone from Congress, who joins it first, may be encouraging his colleagues to check-in to BJP assuring a bright future.

Although, there is no immediate threat to ruling TDP, Congress and YSR Congress parties, the polarization of senior leaders may adversely affect them in long term. Perhaps, BJP is also have some long term plan for AP. Its state president Kambampati Hari Babu said, “There is a political vacuum in the state and our party will fill it up. But, it doesn’t mean we are taking upon TDP.” He further added “It is too early to talk about having poll alliance with TDP for 2019 elections.”

His statement is plainly reflecting the big ambitions of BJP president Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who wants to spread their party wings on all over the country. Whether their efforts would yield fruitful results or not, the polarization of senior leaders may definitely imbalance the political strengths in the state, only if BJP could manage to keep them all glued to party for next five years. If it can manage them, then it is ruling TDP that should think over about this changing political scenario as it can't allow a change of guard in the state in the next elections.
