Officials preparing an inventory of the late spiritual leader's personal chambers in Puttaparthi have found 340 kg silver, gold worth Rs 5.8 crore and close to Rs 2 crore cash and the inventory is not yet complete.

The assets found in the eight rooms searched were deposited in a bank as per the directive of the Income Tax Department. Anantpur Collector V Gurudas said, "We have made the inventory of gold items, which is not yet complete. So far we have got 34.438 kg gold worth Rs 5.85 crore. They were in different packets in different sizes. They were all unsealed and have been counted."
