2nd accused in Delhi gang rape hospitalized

  Even before the dust settles over the mysterious suicide committed by Ram Singh, the prime accused in the Delhi gang rape case, his brother Mukesh, who is 2nd accused in this case was also hospitalized on yesterday, giving way to suspicions. Jail officials have rushed him to Safdurjung hospital when he complains of having pain in the chest during his transmit to Saket court from Tihar jail. Hence, the trail was adjourned till 2pm on yesterday.   ML Sharma, the counsel of the accused has raised objections against the police and jail officials for keeping him in dark about his client’s health condition. He asked the court to allow him to meet his client personally to know his actual condition. He also appealed the court to appoint a special doctor to monitor his client’s health condition, as he doesn’t trust the police and jail officials. However, court denies permission and suggested him to wait until he reports to court.

DMK makes self-goal again

  Karunanidhi’s attempt to revamp the party position by picking up the hot Sri Lanka issue and withdrawing his party support to UPA government, unfortunately back fires at him. It could not solve the purpose instead it once again triggered the fight between his two sons. Karunanidhi’s elder son Alagiri, who revolts against his father absconds from the crucial party meeting held recently. The absence of Alagiri and his followers from the crucial party meeting has become the main issue to media than its purpose.   Hence, DMK is forced to give a clarification on his absence instead of the minutes of the meeting. DMK told the media that Alagiri has informed the party Chief Karunanidhi about his absence well in advance and rubbishes the media reports about Alagiri’s plans of splitting the party. However, Alagiri has stated that he is not alone but there are several others too, who skips the party meeting. He is upset for being ignored by his father Karunanidhi, while taking crucial decisions like withdrawing party support to UPA government. Hence, Karunanidhi’s efforts to give a kick start to his party chokes with the fight between his two sons.   It was decided in the meeting that DMK will stick to its stand taken against UPA government and will demand it to boycott the upcoming Commonwealth meetings to be held in Sri Lanka in protest against massacre of Tamil people by Sri Lankan army.

Special court to take-up Italy marines’ case

  Following the Supreme Court’s directions, government of India has asked the Delhi High Court to form a special court to deal with the two Italian marines’ case. Hence, the High Court has constituted a special court, to be run by Chief Metropolitan Magistrate of Patiala house court. It will be interesting to see how the court will deal with the two marines Massimilano Latorre and Salvatore Girone, who were returned to India only after Indian Government has assured to Italy government that its two marines will not be arrested and nor will be given death sentence by the Indian courts. Whether, the government pressurize the Indian courts to abide by its assurance given to Italy or let the courts decide how to handle the marines’ case and face the ire of European community at international platforms. The trail is likely to start from Monday.

Shankar rao too smart to handle

  Former minister Shankar rao, who was arrested by the Nerdmet police in the Green Fields case two months ago was able to come out of the problem with great ease by playing a high drama during his arrest. He was succeeded in drawing the attention of his party leaders as well as the backward sections with his high drama. Obviously, he scares the police to touch him any further.   The consequent developments taken place after his arrest are a fine example of his political skills. He obliged CM Kiran Kumar Reddy to order for a CID inquiry onto his humiliating arrest but even then also he made the CID cry by refusing to co-operate with them. Later, his daughter also following her father’s foot steps has wrote a letter to Congress president Sonia Gandhi complaining against CM Kiran Kumar Reddy and DGP Dinesh Reddy, blaming both are behind her father’s arrest.   Now, Shankar rao has suddenly pops-up before the Speaker today and given him a representation letter demanding for CBI inquiry or for a special committee to inquire into his humiliating arrest. Perhaps, he is still playing his cards well to keep the police away from him as still there is a threat of his arrest in the Green Fields and forgery cases. He is trying to cut short his cases by high lighting his humiliating arrest case to such a level that it makes the police think twice before they give another try on him.

Tit for Tat politics in Congress party

  Union Minister Jaipal Reddy, who arrived at Mehbubnagar on Sunday for laying the foundation stone for Kalvakurthy lift irrigation project has found no one to welcome him from the state government. He also seems unconcerned about the absence and goes ahead with his meeting accompanied by CM’s rivals, since it is considered to be a tit for tat meeting against CM Kiran Kumar Reddy. Jaipal Reddy, who have released the funds for the Hyderabad Metro Railway project feel humiliated for not being invited to by the CM Kiran Kumar Reddy during the inauguration of the project in November last year, although he is the one who releases the funds for the project.   Hence, he too adopts the same policy and simply ignores the CM to invite to his program held yesterday. However, Panchayati Raj minister K.Jana Reddy and MP Manda Jagannadham, who were branded as CM rivals took active part in the function. CM’s supporters Minister DK Aruna and Uttam Kumar Reddy, the in-charge-minister of the constituency have skipped Jaipal Reddy’s program yesterday. Yet, none from both sides have made any mention about their rivals before the media. This hints the number of groups working in different combinations inside the Congress party may play spoilsport during the upcoming elections if continued with same pace and spirits.

Did the Delhi Police dupes the country

  The recent arrest of Liaqat Ali Shah of Hizbul Mujahideen terror group by Delhi police and their consequent seizure of huge ammunition from a local guest house in the city and their claims of foiling terror attack on the city by Liaqat aides has been described as a fake drama by the Kashmiri police and his two wives Aktar-U-Nisa and Amina Banoo. Aktar and Banoo have told the media that actually their husband have submitted an application in Kupwara police station in year 2011 under rehabilitation policy for ex-militants.   They said while they were returning from Nepal to Gorakpur for surrendering before the J&K police, they were taken by the Delhi police, with whom they even had breakfast at a security camp near Gorakpur city. Later, they have shifted Liaqat to New Delhi, where the Delhi police have screen played all this big drama of foiling terror attack by Liaqat and catching the dump. Liaqat’s two wives have told the media that if the police try to dupe the country like this, then no terrorist will come forward to surrender himself.

Musharaf returns to Pakistan

  Former Pakistan President General Parvez Musharaf, who flees away to Dubai 4 years ago fearing his arrest in connection with his alleged involvement in the assassination of Benajir Bhutto, the former Prime Minister of the country, has returned home on Sunday evening in a special flight from Dubai to participate in the general elections to be held in May this year. Taliban terror groups have warned to kill him with suicide bombers if he returns to Pakistan.   Responding to their threats, Musharaf said that he is not afraid of such threats as he too has served as a commander in Pakistan military for decades that give him enough courage to face any kind of threats. He said he has returned home to save his country, while prepared to face any odds for it. He was greeted by his ‘All Pakistan Muslim league’ party leaders at Zinnah International airport in Karachi. However, some groups also made protests against his return to country.

Babu to cross 2500km milestone today

  Chandrababu Naidu will cross 2500km milestone today in his ‘vastunna meekosam’ padayatra at Mandapeta in East Godavari district. On this occasion, TDP local leaders have erected a huge pylon at Mandapeta, which will be unveiled by him today evening.   Yesterday, he takes a break in his padayatra and confined to his mobile resting vehicle, where he had series of meetings with his leaders of Krishna district. Vallabhaneni Vamsi, Kesineni Nani and many others were among the leaders who met him yesterday. Senior TDP leader Errabelli Dayakar rao also came to meet him accompanied by his wife.   Chandrababu will resume his padayatra from Edidha village near Mandapeta after unveiling the pylon on Monday evening. On this occasion, he will address the people in a meeting to be held near the pylon.   Chandrababu padayatra’s route map for Visakha district padayatra has been announced yesterday. His padayatra will begin from Narsipatnam in Visakha district on April 8th and will continue for the next 19 days until April 27th. During this phase, he will visit 19 constituencies of the district. He will conclude his padayatra with a huge public meeting to be held in the district on 27th, which was given name as Vijayabheri. Later he will returns home and will take rest for few days and then visit rest of the districts by bus.

Official residence allotted to Chiranjeevi in Delhi

  Union Minister Chiranjeevi, who was not allotted any official residence at New Delhi until now, has been staying at his friend’s residence at Vasanth Kunj, whenever his arrives at New Delhi. Hence, the Central Government has allotted him building No.17 in Akbar Road, New Delhi as his official residence. Earlier, the building was used by Congress senior leader Arjun Singh for almost 17 years. But, it remain vacant after his death. Hence, Sonia Gandhi’s political advisor Ahmad Patel has recommended it to allocate to Chiranjeevi. Currently, renovation work is under progress and Chiranjeevi is expected to enter it during next month.

Bail granted to T-leaders

  Alampur court has granted bail to 8 Telangana leaders including T-JAC Chairman Prof. Kodandaram and T-NGO president Srinivas Goud, after the other three leaders Kaveti Sammayya, Gattu Timmappa and Tummala Ravi, who were absconding from police fearing arrest have surrendered themselves before the court. Prof. Kodandaram and others have submitted personal bonds worth each Rs.10, 000 for the bail.   Before that high drama takes place out side the jail as the Telangana activists staged ‘Dhoom dham’ in front of the main entrance of the jail. Jail officials had a tough time in stopping them from entering the jail. However, they let them meet the T-leaders, only after they got orders from higher officials from the state capital. Prof. Kodandaram and Srinivas Goud, who are government servants, have narrowly escaped suspension from their jobs as they were able to come out on bail before 48 hours of their remand.

TDP demands for KVP arrest

  TDP leader Gali Muddu Krishnam Naidu demands CBI for the arrest of Congress MP KVP Rama Chandra rao. He said KVP was the kingpin in late YSR’s government, who is involved in every decision taken by the then CM. Hence, he too should made accountable for all those irregularities taken place during late YSR regime including benefiting YS.Jagan Mohan Reddy.   He said CBI would have arrested him long back but let him move free, only because he is still glued to ruling Congress party. CBI has to prove that it is not working under the influence of Congress party by arresting KVP. Gali alleges that KVP was given a special chamber in the Secretariat during late YSR regime, where he used to collect crores of rupees from contractors and offered mining contracts etc on YSR government behalf. He has formed binimi companies in UK, Singapore, Malaysia and in several foreign countries to where he used to transfer huge funds through various sources and modes, which again were flooded back into Jagan’s companies.   Gali reminding IAS officer Sri Lakshmi’s court statement given against KVP has said that it is enough to reveal that KVP has misused his influence to make easy money. He levied several serious allegations against KVP and demanded for his immediate arrest by CBI.

Botsa to benefit either way as PCC President

  When, AICC Vice president Rahul Gandhi proposed one person-one post in the party, all eyes turned onto PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana, who is also holding Transport ministry simultaneously. Rahul Gandhi has also asked the party men to refrain from contesting in the elections so as to draw a line between party and the government.   Hence, those who prefer stick to party affairs should stay away from the elections and those plans to contest elections should refrain from poking into party affairs. Although many seniors of the party couldn’t digest these two conditions laid by Rahul Gandhi, they have no other option but to follow his orders.   Hence, Botsa Satyanarayana who sought two months time to choose his option has finally comes out preferring to continue as PCC president. He said “Though the decision was left to the party high command, if it asks me to choose one, I prefer to be PCC president rather than holding my minister post.”   However, he might have chosen this option knowing that even if he quits his MLA and Minister post, being PCC president he can transfer the same to any of his family members effortlessly, where as he can’t induct his family members into his PCC post at any cost. So, it is understood that Botsa has very wisely played his cards by choosing to remain in PCC president post.   According to reports, his younger brother Botsa Lakshman rao is planning to contest in the upcoming elections from Bheemili constituency in Visakha district. If, Botsa vacates his MLA seat from his home constituency-Vizianagaram, he can transfer the same to his brother to ensue his safe landing into party politics.

Why did TDP plays high-drama in the house

  TDP which has been defamed by TRS and YSR Congress parties during no-trust motion for not supporting their move, later proved to be correct with its strategy. However, it becomes necessary for it to wipe-off the negative image credited to it by its rivals in wake of the upcoming elections.   Hence, it grabs the two serious issues of power cuts and water problems that have been upsetting the people of the sate to underline its interests in fighting on behalf of the people. Despite assurances by the Assembly affairs minister D.Sridhar babu and the secretary Raja Sadaram to take-up the two issues for a debate on Saturday proceedings, 56 MLAs of TDP has created havoc in the house demanding immediate discussion of the two issues raised by them.   Even after the house was adjourned, they have continued their high drama protesting in the house till mid-night and able to catch media attention all the way. Later, all of they were forcibly shifted to their party office around mid-night by the police. They have continued their dharna in their party office too and will directly arrive to Assembly from their party office on Saturday morning to continue their protests in the house again.

Sanjay Dutt be pardoned: Katju

  Former Justice of Supreme Court and present Press Council Chief Markandey Katju has wrote a letter to Mahrashtra governor K. Shankar Narayanan yesterday appealing to pardon Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who was given 5 years jail term by Supreme Court yesterday.   There was positive response from the Governor as well as Maharashtra Government for his appeal. Law Minister Aswini Kumar has stated that Governor can use his discretionary powers if such plea is forwarded to him by the concerned person. Information and Broadcasting Minister Manisih Tiwari also responds positively to his appeal and said that an appropriate decision will be taken by the appropriate level.   However, the two opposition parties in the state BJP and Shiva Sena have raised objections on Katju’s appeal to Governor. BJP MP Balnir Puri has stated that Katju has to remember that he is no longer remain the Supreme Court judge to recommendations to governors. When, Supreme Court has given its verdict everyone in the country has to obey it come it may be a poor or rich man. Otherwise it will mislead the people to think justice for rich and poor is different.   Shiva Sena MP Anil Desai has said that when the actor himself has expressed readiness to abide the court verdict, then why did anyone else beg pardon for him? When asking for pardon, he should remember about the victims, who lost their lives in the 1993 bomb blasts case.”

Court rejects bail to Telangana Leaders

  The Alampur court has rejected the bail petitions of 8 TRS and T-JAC leaders. The court suggests them to apply for bail in district court. Hence they were shifted back to Mehboob Nagar jail again a short while ago. T-JAC Chairman Prof.Kodandaram, T-NGO president Srinivas Goud, TRS MLA Etela Rajendar, Jupalli Krishna rao, Kaveti Sammayya, TRS leader Jitendar Reddy are the ones who were rejected bail by the court.

Upasana gifts pup to Ram Charan

  Mega power star Ram Charan Tej and his wife Upasana have a common taste. Both of they are animal lovers. Hence, they consider presenting pretty living beings to their life partner makes them happy than gifting jewelry or some sort of valuable items on their birthdays. Ram Charan said that last time he has gifted his wife a horse on her birthday.   Now, it is Upasana’s turn to give a pleasant surprise. She has presented him a cute puppy brought from Thailand, well in advance to his birthday. He was so surprised and happy with her gift that he decided to spend some good time with her after completing his present films-Evadu and Janzeer. He said he will take his wife for a foreign trip soon after completing the two films.   Unlike other heroes’ wives in the industry, Upasana always find herself busy with her charitable programs and hospital works. Hence, he said she couldn’t come down to out door shootings spots to meet him.   “So, whenever time permits me I take a flight to meet her and return to shooting by morning flight. Although, we are newly married, so far we couldn’t spend together due to our commitments. I wish, I could spare some time to spend with my wife but in vain. Hence, the only alternative is to keep sufficient intervals in between my films,” said Ram Charan.   He said his mother, who knows what it is to be marrying to an actor and well aware of the emotional feelings of being alone is accompanying his wife and sharing her experiences with Upasana. He said it gives him a great relief to have his mother beside her all the time.
