Jana Reddy condemns allegations

  Recently a petition was filed in High Court by VV Rao a social activist against Minister K.Jana Reddy appealing to order for an investigation into his inappropriate assets. The petitioner has argued that Jana Reddy being serving as minister since several years has accumulated property worth hundreds of crores. He said Jana Reddy is also running several businesses on binami names, in which he and his close relatives have invested huge amounts. He alleged that Jana Reddy also has huge shares in a Power Projects. Hence, he appealed the court to order for a CBI investigation into his appropriate assets and business deals.   However, Jana Reddy responding to the petition has said “I have no side businesses on binami names and not invested in any companies. They are baseless and politically motivated allegations. I think one day definitely, the ones who is behind this will be made public.”

మొహాలి టెస్ట్: శిఖర్ ధావన్ సెంచరీ, రికార్డ్

భారత్, ఆస్ట్రేలియా మధ్య మొహాలిలో జరుగుతున్న రెండో టెస్ట్ మొదటి ఇన్నింగ్స్ లో భారత్ కు శిఖర్ ధావన్ అదిరిపోయే ఆరంభాన్నిచ్చాడు. తాను ఆడుతున్న తొలి టెస్ట్ మ్యాచ్ లోనే 85 బంతుల్లో సెంచరీ చేశాడు. దీంతో టెస్ట్ ఆరగ్రేటంలోనే వేగవంతమైన శతకం సాధించిన తొలి ఆటగాడిగా శిఖర్ ధావన్ రికార్డ్ సృష్టించాడు. ప్రస్తుతం ఇండియా 159/0 తో ఆడుతోంది. మురళి విజయ్ 44, శిఖర్ ధావన్ 107 పరుగులతో క్రీజులో వున్నారు.  

మొహాలి టెస్ట్: ఆస్ట్రేలియా 408 ఆలౌట్

        మొహాలి టెస్టులో ఆస్ట్రేలియా మూడో రోజు తొలి ఇన్నింగ్స్ లో 408 పరుగులకు ఆలౌట్ అయింది.ఏడు వికెట్ల నష్టానికి 273 పరుగుల ఓవర్‌నైట్ స్కోర్‌తో మూడో రోజు ఆటప్రారంభించిన ఆసిస్ మరో 135 పరుగులను జోడించింది. ఆసిస్ ఆటగాళ్లు స్కార్ట్ 99 , స్మిత్ 92, కొవాస్ 86, వార్నర్ 71 అత్యధిక పరుగులు చేశారు. భారత బౌలర్లు జడేజా, ఇషాంత్‌కు చెరో మూడు వికెట్లు, ఓజా, అశ్విన్‌కు రెండేసి వికెట్లు దక్కాయి.

Rumors on boycotting Jr.NTR by Balayya

    Telugu news channels are abuzz with rumors about Nandamuri Balakrishna and Chandrababu ordering the party cadres to boycott Jr.NTR, during his ongoing visit to Vijayawada city, for the inauguration of a jewelery show room. The reports highlights that there were no party workers or leaders seen around and there were no welcoming banners from party side, except Jr.NTR’s fans and banners arranged by them. According to the reports, Balakrishna has ordered the district party cadres not to put any banners inviting Jr.NTR and not to meet him.   The reason for boycotting him is said to be Kodali Nani’s severe attacks on Chandrababu Naidu and Balakrishna, who is known to be a very close friend of Jr.NTR and recently left the party to join YSR Congress party. The channels also take pains to garnish this hot news item by reporting that Jr.NTR has been telling his friends in political circles that one day or the other he is going to take charge of the party, which fall into ears of Balakrishna and Chandrababu that makes them angry on him and hence decide to keep him away from the party.   However, there are huge crowds seen cheering him and there are large number of flex banners hanged everywhere through out the way he travels from Gannavaram airport to city center. However, the banners contain only his film stills and images of his grand parents late NTR and Basavatarakam. Soon, we can expect an explanation from Chandrababu Naidu and Balakrishna regrading this matter.

Cong.MLA Kannababu spits fire on YSRCP

  Congress MLA Kannababu, participating in the hot debate in the Assembly yesterday has spits fire against YSR Congress party. He said “Actually, YSR Congress party was born out of Jagan’s ambition to become CM of the state, otherwise there would be no such party existing now in the state. Late YSR has breathed his last in the Congress party, where as his son Jagan Mohan Reddy not only betrayed the party but also banking on his father’s reputation and popularity in the state for his political survival. If, he could accumulate thousands of crores of rupees even without being in power, people can easily imagine what would he do if he comes into power? However, his mother Vijayamma despite knowing all these things is supporting him because she couldn’t afford to stay away from him. Those who are accusing our government of supporting Jagan and his party from behind should know that our CM Kiran Kumar Reddy has taken back lakhs of acres of lands given to Rakshana Steels at Bayyaaram mines.” Nevertheless to say YSR Congress party MLAs have shouted against him protesting his speech.

Karunanidhi warning to UPA

  Former Tamilnadu CM and DMK party president Karunanidhi has served ultimatum to UPA government to withdraw his party support, if it fails to take initiative in mobilizing the international community to voice against the ongoing atrocities against the Tamil people living in Sri Lanka by the Sri Lankan army and the government. He said it is inhuman to ignore the brutal killings of thousands of innocent people by the Sri Lankan army. Hence, he asked the UPA government to take initiative in mobilizing the international organizations to stop the Sri Lankan government from its misdeeds, otherwise he will be obliged to withdraw his party support to UPA government.   Currently, 18 DMK members of parliament are supporting the UPA government. The UPA government has total strength of 290 including DMK. If, DMK withdraws its support to UPA, then it will becomes 272 which is the exact magic figure to keep afloat for the UPA government. Then it will be a tight rope walk for the UPA government. Even if a single member departs from it, then it will fells into minority.   However, UPA will not let the DMK chief to try any such ideas, as it is still holding his strings in its hands. His daughter Kanimoli, who has been jailed for months but some how released on bail in the last year may face threat of UPA reviving her cases, if her father Karunanidhi tries to disturb the UPA government. Hence, Karunanidhi may not afford to implement his decision as he is well aware of the consequences. However, UPA should response to his appeal on humanitarian grounds otherwise hundreds of innocent Tamil people, including women and children are turning victims of Sri Lankan army.

6 TDP MLAs disobey the party whip

  Out of the 10 TDP MLAs, who left the party and join hands with TRS and YSR Congress parties in the recent past, 6 MLAs have voted in favor of no-trust motion served by TRS and YSRCP against the ruling Congress government. The 6 MLAs are: Kodali Nani, Praveen Reddy, Balanagi Reddy, Sairaj, Amarnath Reddy, Vanitha. The other 4 MLAs Nagam Janardhan Reddy, Venugopalachari, Hariswar Reddy and Chinnam Rama Kotayya have escaped the disqualification threat by staying away from the voting. Hence, TDP may recommend the Speaker for disqualifying of its 6 MLAs immediately, with which they will loose their MLA posts.

Jagan loyalists comes out of shell

  The nine Jagan loyalists in the Congress party-Jogi Ramesh Naidu, Peddireddy Rama Chandra Reddy, Gottipati Ravi, Perni Nani, Sujay Krishna Ranga rao, Alla Nani, Dwarampudi Chandrashekar Reddy, Shivaprasada Reddy and Rajesh have come open against Congress government and voted in favor of No-trust motion. Hence, as the CM Kiran Kumar Reddy warns yesterday, he may recommend for their disqualification. However, their voting against the government has brings down the Congress strength from present 149 to 142, with which the government falls into minority. Hence, it may be asked to prove its strength in the house by the governor. Otherwise, opposition parties may pressurize the governor to do so immediately. The required strength to run the government is 149, where as the Kiran Kumar Reddy governement’s present strength is now only 142. Hence, it is inevitable for the government to prove its majority in the house.

No-Trust move defeated

  No-trust moves brought by TRS and YSR Congress parties have been defeated in the voting that continued up to late mid night on yesterday. Out of 294 members in the Assembly, 26 were absent and 90 members stayed away from the voting. Hence, 142 votes for polled against no-trust motion and the opposition could gather only 58 votes in its favor. Hence, Speaker announces that the notice issued by the TRS was defeated and the government has win the confidence of the house.

Dr Reddy's Laboratories founder Dr Anji Reddy passes away

        Dr. K. Anji Reddy, Founder and Chairman of Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, died at a hospital in Hyderabad on Friday. He was 72. He is survived by wife Samrajyam, daughter Anuradha and son K. Satish Reddy.   An acknowledged pioneer of reverse engineering Dr. Reddy was held in high esteem by the scientific community dealing with pharmaceuticals. His contribution was significant in making pharmaceutical products globally competitive and, at the same time, affordable to the common man. He was known for leveraging genuine technological interventions to make active pharmaceutical ingredients effective. Apart from his pre-eminent position in the pharmaceutical industry, Dr. Reddy was active in "giving back to society" and established the Dr. Reddy's Foundation and the Naandi Foundation. Dr. Reddy was ailing for the past few months from a lung disorder and was admitted to a private hospital about 10 days ago where a team of doctors attended on him round-the-clock. The end came around 4.30 p.m. on Friday.

TDP MLA disobeys party whip?

  TDP MLA Harishwar Reddy, who left TDP and joins TRS few months back has voted in favour of TRS served no-confidence motion against the Congress government, thus disobeying the whip issued by TDP. Hence, TDP may recommend the Speaker to disqualify him for violating the party whip. CM Kiran Kumar Reddy is also ready to disqualify the decedents in the party, who dare to cross the party lines during voting against his government.

Why did CM change his views on TDP?

  CM Kiran Kumar Reddy has said that he consider TDP as the main opposition party in the state. Because, it is the biggest party as against the other two TRS and YSR Congress parties, which are small and regional based parties. Hence, he opined Congress has to take upon TDP during the for the coming elections and need not to worry about the other two. But, Kiran Kumar Reddy, often used to say that TDP will disappear from state politics after 2014 elections. But, this sudden change of views may be adored to TDP’s decision not to support TRS and YSR Congress parties move made against his government.   1CC President Botsa Satyanarayana also has expressed same views about TDP and its president Chandrababu Naidu. He said that Congress can’t ignore his and his party presence in state politics as they still could pose a threat to Congress party in 2014 elections. He opined that Chandrababu might have his own ideas and plans in staying away from the no-confidence motion. He too used to flay Chandrababu and his TDP like anything in the past. But, when TDP’s decision to stay away from the no-trust has brought a radical change in his views too.

I don’t know why they serve no-trust:CM

  CM Kiran Kumar Reddy, who is delighted with the opposition parties’ no-trust-motion served against his government has said that still he doesn’t see any good reason for it. He said probably, they have tried this idea, fearing to face the upcoming local body elections, because both TRS and YSR Congress parties lacks grass-root level party cadres and infrastructure to face the elections. He said those who work hard and honestly for the party will be honored with party tickets during the upcoming local body elections. He also hints reshuffling of his cabinet very soon.   Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana and Chief Whip Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy had a close door meeting at party Office Gandhi Bhavan on yesterday and decided to disqualify the decedent MLAs, who crosses the party lines during voting on no-trust motion. Unlike, previous announcement made by Botsa Satyanarayana of expelling the 9 MLAs, this time it is a collective decision hence, Congress party may definitely slash the decedents if necessary.

Italian Ambassador asked not to leave the country

  Supreme Court has ordered the Italian Ambassador to India Daniele Mancini not to leave the country without its permission. This order was issued by the Supreme Court bench headed by Chief Justice Altamas Kabir on Thursday in wake of Italian Government’s response on sending back of its two marines to India.   The court also issued notices to two Italian marines Massimiliano Lattore and Salvatore Girone, who were wanted in the killing of two Indian fisher men but allowed to leave the country on a 4 week parole for casting their votes in Italy. As the Italian ambassador, who gave undertaking to Supreme Court ensuring for their return to country on or before March 22nd and to surrender before the court for further trail has failed, Supreme Court has asked him restrain from leaving the country with out its permission.   Supreme Court bench is annoyed to hear the Italian government taking turning around on sending the two marines back to country. The court opines it is a clear breach of undertaking given by the Italian Ambassador to the country. The members of the bench AR Dave and Vikramajit Sen have said the Italian government has breached the undertaking given to highest court of the land and the government is extremely concerned about it.

Is CBI planning to hook Jagan further?

  Sri Lakshmi, who was arrested in connection with Gali Janardhan Reddy’s Obulapuram illegal mining cases and currently on bail, when seeks extension of her bail till the case is finalized, CBI gave her a shock stating it is considering to add her name into Jagan Mohan Reddy’s illegal assets cases also, as all the cases are interlinked somewhere the other. Hence, CBI argues that extending her bail is not advisable, keeping in view of the wide range of the cases.   In case if, CBI files a separate case connecting her to Jagan Mohan Reddy’s illegal assets cases, then she also will become a key source of evidence who can provide the details about all the irregularities taken place during late YSR regime that benefits Jagan Mohan Reddy. The timing of CBI’s announcement of adding Sri Lakshmi’s name to Jagan’s case, hints that it is not in a mood let him go off its hook in the near future, while he and his family members are expecting a sure bail in the next month. If, CBI files a fresh case against Sri Lakshmi before end of this month, then it will be big sign for continuation of Jagan’s imprisonment.

Who will benefit the most in No-Trust?

  The separate no-confidence motions served by TRS and YSR Congress parties, will definitely benefit Kiran Kumar Reddy and his government, where as he is expected to lose his power with them. Knowing that both parties are going to fail to make a dent on his government, Kiran Kumar Reddy can now project himself as a daredevil and a war hero, who has faced two no-confidence-motions at a time served by two major political parties of the state, which is a new record in Andhra Pradesh state history.   Kiran Kumar Reddy during his recent meeting at Mehboob Nagar has stated that the opposition parties are merely serving this no-confidence motion against his government only to safeguard their political interests. He asserted that that his government, which is widely supported by the people of the state, will continue in power till 2014 thus completing full term and obeying the people’s verdict.   Hence, the failure attempts to be made by opposition parties in the house, further boost his spirits and provides a great opportunity to boast himself before the people and his party high command as a war hero. Further, it will also come as blessing for his government to face the upcoming local body elections with his full spirits that may roll red carpet to him to lead the party in 2014 elections too.

Jagan loyalists withdraw resignation letters?

  The Jagan loyalists inside the Congress government, who submitted their resignation letters to speaker some time ago, are said to be withdrawing their resignation letters. Former minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy (from CM’s constituency in Chittoor district) has resigned to his minister post opposing Kiran Kumar Reddy’s attitude. After joining hands with YSR Congress party he also resigned to his MLA post. But, today he not only withdraws his resignation letter but also attends the Assembly proceedings. However, he said that he has withdrawn his resignation letter only to vote against Kiran Kumar Reddy government during no-confidence motion by TRS. If sources are to be believed rest of the Jagan loyalists in Congress party may follow him.
