Kodali speaks about Jr.NTR

  YSRCP leader and Gudiwada MLA Kodali Nani, who was asked to give his explanation for violating the party whip, has met Speaker today and told him that he has not received any whip order from TDP. However, he welcomed Speaker to disqualify him, if he believes that he has violated the party whip. He said he is ready to face the bye elections.   Later speaking to media he elaborately talked about his relations with Jr.NTR and flex banner issue. He said “I don’t think we are prohibited to talk with Nandamuri family members, because we differs with Chandrababu and comes out of TDP. I have good relations with Jr.NTR and maintain the same forever, come whichever parties we work for.”   “I don’t think it is necessary for Jr.NTR, to give his explanation whenever some body puts his photo on the banners. He told me that he will remain in his party. So, I thought it is not fair for us to trouble him anymore. Keeping in view of our friendship I have asked my followers not to use his photograph or film stills in any of our party banners to avert embarrassing situation to him. Hence, no one in my constituency will put his photos anymore. I have also asked my colleagues and their followers to avert using his photo in our party banners,” said Nani.   Nani reiterated that except Chandrababu anyone can use late NTR photo. “He has no rights to use his photo because he has back stabbed late NTR. Since, he failed in his duties as opposition leader, I suggest him to vacate his seat to let Vijayamma take it. I am not concerned about Vijayamma’s statement about supporting Congress party lead UPA alliance after the next general elections,” said Nani.

Mummaneni Subba Rao Memorial Documentary A Tribute by Chowdary and Rao Foundation

       "Mummaneni Subba Rao" The secretary of the Siddhartha Academy and Senior Partner in the Brahmayya & Co, Siddhartha Academy of General & Technical Education came into existence in 1975. The Academy has established 14 educational institutions that offer a variety of courses ranging from KG to PG in general education besides specific courses for technical and professional education.   A workaholic, a pioneer and a lovable personality, Subba Rao played a pivotal role in developing Siddhartha educational institutions brick by brick. He was founder treasurer of the Siddhartha Academy in 1975 and was instrumental in strengthening it into a big family of 14 institutions, including two engineering colleges and a medical college. All these institutions, having a total strength of 19,000 students and 2,000 staff, ran successfully under Rao's able stewardship.      

TDP Pylon and meeting venue changed at Vizag

  Since, TDP president Chandrababu Naidu’s 7 month long Vastunna Meekosam Padayatra is to be concluded on 27th of April at Vizag city, TDP has planned to erect a huge pylon marking successful completion of the event. TDP leaders have started construction of the pylon at Vadlapudi in the outskirts of the city. However, the work was halted with Vizag Steel Plant Authorities claiming ownership of the land, which is obtained from by TDP from MS Chakravarti, the former Mayor of Rajhamundry. Hence, TDP has purchased another site measuring 780 square yards at Sivaji Nagar in near by area and started work afresh.   TDP Urban convener Vasupalli Ganesh said “This time, we have started the work only after verifying and confirming the ownership documents of the site. We will speed-up the project as there is hardly 9 days left to meet the deadline of 27th April. The project is estimated to be around 2.6 crores including the land cost. Our party leader Sujana Chowdary is funding this project.”   The venue of the public meeting to be held by Chandrababu on the concluding day was also changed to Andhra University Engineering College grounds, from the Municipal stadium. After unveiling the pylon around 3pm on 27th April, he will reach the meeting venue followed by a huge procession. TDP is erecting 50 Arches in a short distance of 15km welcoming its president to the city. Total 6 committees were formed by local leaders, which were given separate tasks like pylon construction, meeting arrangements, public relations, mobilizing of people etc. TDP is making elaborate arrangements to make the event grand success.   Although all the senior leaders are expected to join this grand event of TDP, it was not known whether TDP will invite Harikrishna and his son Jr.NTR to the meeting to showcase the unity among TDP and NTR family members. Even if they were invited, they both may not accept their invitation as it may turn into an embarrassing situation for them both.      

Blast will help BJP tweets Union Minister

  The bomb explosion at Bangalore yesterday triggers political explosions further. Soon after the explosion, senior Congress leader Shakeel Ahmad tweets, "If the blast near BJP's office in Bangalore is a terror attack, it will certainly help the BJP politically on the eve of election."   Obviously, there were chain of reactions but, cooled down in no time. BJP president Rajnath Singh said “Terrorism should not be seen as a loss or gain.” BJP senior leader Shahnawaz Hussain said, “There should be no politics on such incidents."   While BJP played it cool, Congress jumped at once to condemn Shakeel’s tweet and distances itself from his statement. Congress general secretary Janardhan Dwivedi said "Any terror incident is a matter of concern. It is a national and international problem. It is a challenge for the country. It should not be seen as political gain."   Union minister of state for home RPN Singh also appealed the leaders not to politicize the issue that need to be addressed seriously. Home minister Shushil Kumar Shinde has ordered for a probe on the blast.   However, Shakeel Ahmad supporting what he said “My statement is not made with any political intentions but it was a general opinion. The way people normally express their sympathy to a family hit by some tragic incident, I also expressed my views. When, I came to know that the incident happens at BJP door step, I said people of the state may shower sympathy on it. It is just a sympathetic note and nothing else.”

Boston bombs made from Pressure cookers

  The twin blasts that leaves 3 dead and 170 injured at Boston, USA yesterday were made from ordinary kitchen pressure cookers filled with some nails, ball bearings and sharp objects that are available at any hardware store. The miscreants have used the ordinary “kitchen-type” egg timers to trigger the pressure cooker bombs. They were neither sophisticated nor need expertise to explode the bombs. Hence, the impact is less otherwise it would have killed several people passing on the streets, say officials.   Though the explosives are made from general household items, forensic experts have found letter ‘6L’ on the container of the bomb, which they hopes will give a lead to their investigation. The investigating officers are of the view that the explosive devices were probably hidden inside dark nylon duffel bags or backpacks and left on the street or sidewalk near the finish line.   So far no suspects were arrested and no one or group has claimed responsibility for the blasts. However, Taliban militants have disowned the blast.   According to reports, out of the 170 injured, condition of 17 is very critical. Martin Richard (8), Krystle Campbell(29) of Medford, Massachusetts and a Chinese citizen, were the three, who killed in the bomb blasts.   A truck load of evidences collected from the blast site have been shifted to FBI laboratory in Quantico, Virginia to reconstruct the scene. Edward Davis, the Boston police commissioner has told the media that, they have collected the video footages from the CVC cameras located in and around the blast site. The yellow tapes and metal barriers encompassing the two explosion sites that stretches nearly a mile-long area have kept the people away from the surrounding areas.The city wears a deserted and sick look since yesterday evening.

Sanjay Dutt given 4 weeks extension

  Responding to Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt’s petition appealing 6 months extension to surrender himself, Supreme Court has given 4 weeks extension only. He asked the court to let him complete his commitments to number of films which has invested around Rs25o crores on him. But, the court disagreeing with his lawyers’ argument has granted 4 weeks extension only. Hence, he has to surrender before the TADA Court on or before 18th May. Sanjay was convicted under the Arms Act in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case.

Delhi, Northern states escapes unhurt in quakes

  Earthquake that tumbles Iran has left more than 40 people dead and huge loss of property. Pakistan and several northern Indian states like Gujarat, Rajasthan, Chandigarh, Punjab, and Haryana including New Delhi have experienced the tremors yesterday. Fortunately, there is no loss of property or causalities reported. But, the people scared with the tremors ran out of their homes and offices. In New Delhi and the surrounding areas the magnitude of the quake is measured to be 6.3 or less. The tremors begin at 4.24 pm on Wednesday but dyes within few seconds.   According to India Meteorological Department the quake is very significant at its epicenter 33km beneath the surface, but considerably lost its magnitude when it reaches the surface, which saves the people. Yet, the 6.3 magnitude quake makes the sky scrappers of the city vulnerable, but fortunately they withstand the quake. According specialists the tremors felt earlier in the day in north eastern parts of India are unrelated to quakes in Iran.   The Nuclear Power Corporation of India has announced that its nuclear power plants located in northern regions were unaffected and safe.   However, there is heavy causalities and property loss reported from Pakistan and Iran. According to reports 20 people were died in Pakistan and more than 40 people in Iran. The toll may higher than it was reported in Iran as it bore the grunt of the 7.8 earthquake. Iranian Meteorological Department assessed the epicenter of the quake was situated 95 km north of the city of Saravan. The tremors spread between west of Iran and major parts of the Middle East. According to Iran, it was the most powerful quake that struck Iran during the last 4 decades.

Congress likely to prolong Sabita’s issue

  Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana is leaving for New Delhi today to have a meeting with AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi. Their meeting is very significant as they are expected to discuss several burning issues of the state.   In wake of growing pressures from opposition parties for removal of CBI charge sheeted ministers from the government, the meeting is expected to come-out with a decision. But, the recent statements by party state political affairs in-charge Ghulam Nabi Azad and general secretary KB Krishna Murthy indicates they are likely to prolong the issue. While, Azad says that party can take any decision only after going through the CBI charge sheet and the court’s intentions over it, Krishna Murthy said, the party can take action only if the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy recommends for it because he is the sole in-charge of the state. Kiran Kumar Reddy is the one who suggested Home Minister Sabita Indra Reddy not to be hurry in resigning to her post.   Hence, unless Rahul Gandhi insists otherwise, it is understood that the crucial meeting acknowledge the same to sit on this issue.

KCR to contest from Medak

  Although, KCR has declared that he and Medak MP Vijaya Shanthi will be contesting in the next elections, he didn’t assured about her constituency. TRS leaders applies breaks to speeding KCR

  The speeding TRS President KCR has to slow down over inducting the Congress and TDP leaders into party, as some of his party leaders like Koppula Hariswar Reddy and Naradasu Lakshman rao have put a speed breaker in his way, raising objections.   Parigi MLA Hariswar Reddy, who take plunge into party from TDP has objected inducting his ex colleagues Mahender Reddy (Tandur MLA) K S Ratnam and Prakash Goud into the party, whom he dislikes very much. He met KCR’s son KTR and expressed his anonymity over approaching his rivals. He made it clear that if the party prefers to induct the 3 TDP leaders, then certainly it would be an issue for him.   The induction of Kareem Nagar MLA Gangula Prabhakar also turned an issue for TRS. Former MLC Naradasu Lakshmana Rao, who is expecting ticket from Kareem Nagar, feels humiliated with his induction into party. Although, he strongly opposed his arrival into party, some how TRS leaders have calmed him and clear way for Gangula. The situation will be no different if KCR’s roles red carpet to the Congress and TDP leaders any further, as it will betray the chances of the aspirants in the party.

KK spits fire on media and Congress

  The media reports about meeting betwen K.Keshav rao and TRS president KCR over joing TRS party has developed into spicy stories, which annoys Keshav rao. He spits fire on media for projecting him as a power hungry person joing TRS merely for its ticket.   He said “I am not interested in anything else except Telangana formation. Please note that I will not contest in any elections until Telangana is formed. Media should report the news and should not create the news. I am honest with Telangana issue. I want to leave my party, because it fails to keep up its words. Please note that TRS is not a political party but is a forum formed to achieve Telangana. Hence, I am joining into the agitations and not into a political party to ensure party ticket for me to contest in the upcoming elections. Hence, media should refrain from hurting our feelings while reporting our matters.”   Speaking about his party, “Being a national level party, it should respect and consider the regional feelings and demands. But, since it has turned blind eye on the regional problems, regional parties are emerging in one place or the other in the country. If, I was asked to meet the high command I do not want to discuss anything else except Telangana,” said KK.

TDP suspends MLA Kamalakar

  TDP has suspends its Kareem Nagar MLA Gangula Kamalakar for crossing the party lines. Despite requests from party leaders, he went to meet TRS president KCR at his Erravelli farm house in Medak district yesterday and expressed his readiness to join TRS party. Later, he told the media that he will officially join TRS party in a huge public meeting to be held by him soon in the city. Hence, TDP has suspends him from the party with immediate effect. While, the TRS leaders have welcomed his decision, Naradas Lakshman Rao who is expecting party ticket from Kareem Nagar has opposed his arrival into party. But, TRS leaders have silenced him ensuring that the party high command will make justice to him.

It is Rs.48,000 per kg now, which was once crossed Rs.59,000 mark in the last year. Hence, jewelry shops across the country witness a mad rush from all sections ranging from millionaires to labor class. However, many people are still waiting hoping further fall in the prices.   The reason for sudden fall of these precious metals is rumors over huge sale of these metals by Cyprus and in some European countries. According to Gold Council analytics there was 10% fall in demand for the Gold during the last year, which is also a reason for the present fall. It was 4405 tons in the year 2012, where as it was 4582 tons demand in year 2011. In India it was 986 tons in year 2011 and it was 864 tons in the last year.   More over the fall in crude oil prices, which affects the Dollar rate in the international market is also a reason for the present fall. According to Thompsons Reiter’s research center’s reports the gold price may pick up very shortly and may stabilize at Rs.3155 per gram by end of this year.

Boston Bomb Blasts,100 injured

  America for the first time after many years has witnessed two serial bomb blasts on Monday. According to reports two powerful bomb blasts occurred within seconds at Copley Square, on the north side of Boylston Street, near Prudential Center in Boston city. Two people were killed on spot and more than 100 were injured in these twin blasts. The area becomes a war hit zone in minutes leaving several people profusely bleeding on the roads crying for help.According to reports, condition of 15 people injured in the blasts is very critical.   The bombs were planted targeting the Boston’s grand annual event of Marathon race in which around 23000 people were participated. The Boston Marathon race was held in honor of the victims of the Newtown, Conn., shooting in which 26 people died at Sandy Hook Elementary school few months ago.   So far, no terror group has come forward claiming responsibility for the blasts. But, US President Barack Obama has vowed that those responsible will "feel the full weight of justice." He asked the intelligence officials "Make no mistake: We will get to the bottom of this." Medical teams, police and intelligence teams have immediately rushed to the spot and starts rescue and investigation operations.
