Fresh troubles brews for Shankar rao

  Former Minister Shankar rao, who fails to secure party ticket despite constructing temple to Congress president Sonia Gandhi, got some fresh problems from none other than Governor Narasimhan. Governor has granted permission to CID for filing case against Shankar rao in connection with green Fields lands scam. Earlier, Shankar rao managed to escape from arrest on health grounds. Later, also he played the same trick when police summoned him for interrogation in connection with his allegations made against former DGP Dinesh Reddy. So, now wonder if he play the same trick again to escape from arrest.

Tall promises by T-Congress

  Congress manifesto for Telangana has been cooked by the chief cook of the manifesto committee chairman Sridhar babu and his associates. They have made so many tall promises that Congress couldn’t implement during its five decades of ruling. However, they ask the people to believe them all these fresh promises will be strictly implemented if they are elected to power.   Some of the tall promises they made in the manifesto are: Providing uninterrupted power supply during day time. People of Telangana are laughing at them, as they are making this promise even when entire Telangana villages are facing power cuts for more than 8-12 hours.   The other promises like 1 lakh jobs to Telangana youth within 3 years, special bank for youth with Rs. 500 crore fund, Rs.1 lakh fund for each women self-help groups, Rs.10,000 per acre subsidy to each farmer, solar power generation, granting national status to Pranahitha-Chevella and Palamooru lift irrigation project etc.   TRS argues that Congress had lifted many of them are straight away from their manifesto. Some other promises made in the manifesto are just old wine in new bottle. However, people of Telangana questions, whey the Congress party has ignored all these things until now and how can they believe that it will implement its promises if Congress led UPA fails to retain power at Centre.

T-Congress struck with Sravan

  TRS leader D. Sravan is known as mouth piece of his party until now, but when KCR denied party ticket to him, he simply switches his loyalties in favor of congress and is now acting as Congress mouth piece. The one, who until now has defends KCR and his family members from rival attacks is now blaming them family-party, while praising Sonia Gandhi for granting Telangana state.   But, Congress cadres are not ready to take his bait. They are condemning his appointment as PCC main official representative and also threaten to resign all at once. Jairam Ramesh, who dropped from New Delhi to settle the internal issues find it very tough to handle his congress men protesting Sravan’s appointment. Congress high command couldn’t understand how to deal with these dissidents. If it kicks out Sravan from the party, he will turn trouble maker for the party, otherwise dissidents will give it nightmares just ahead of elections.

Will Balayya quit film industry?

  Finally, the line is cleared for Nandamuri Balakrishna for contesting elections from Hindupur for Assembly. TDP president Chandrababu Naidu has confirmed this short while ago after discussing with him over this matter. Balakrishna will file his nomination papers on April 16th. With this, Balakrishna’s ambition to join active politics and his fans longstanding demand for the same is fulfilled. His fans across the state are celebrating for his entry, as if he already won the elections. No doubt, he will definitely win the elections, come whoever contests against him from any party.   However, Balayya may have tough time ahead for him, if TDP wins the elections and come to power in the state. He has to choose his choice between his film career and this new profession. He may be forced to sacrifice his film career because he can’t do part-time politics. His father late NTR also quits film profession and dedicates his life to public service as Chief Minister of the state. However, all it depends on whether TDP will come to power winning the elections. Nevertheless, he has spared his time for his constituency at least.

Balayya’s Ticket confirmed

  Chandrababu confirms Hindupur ticket to Balakrishna a short while ago, in a one to one meeting held at Hyderabad. With this, curtains dropped on the month long suspense over Balayya’s contesting elections.

Mohan Babu faces setback in SC

  Getting Padmasri Award indeed is really a great honor for any actor or to any person, but the same will become embarrassing if has to fight for it in the courts for any reasons. Padmasri Awardees Manchu Mohan Babu and ace comedian Brahmanandam both are facing similar situation now. The state high court responding to private petitions has ordered them both to surrender their prestigious awards back to government and also asked them not to use them for anywhere, for they misused their awards in titles of their movies.   Therefore, Mohan Babu has knocked the Supreme Court doors challenging High Court’s orders. However, there also he faces setback. Though, the apex court gave him relief by granting stay on High Court’s orders, it also orders him not to use his award anywhere until it permits him. His case was adjourned to April 17th. All this ugly legal fight to retain their prestigious award that is given honoring their talents indeed is very painful. No surprise, if they both returns their awards back to government, when they lost patience.

Nothing wrong in Dad’s statement: Akhilesh

  Even while Samjawadi party Chief Mulayam Singh’s controversial statement-‘Boys shouldn’t be punished for rape crimes’ is drawing huge protests from all over the country, his son and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav adds fuel to the flames by supporting his father.   Mulayam Singh addressing a public meeting held at Moradabad “Girls befriend boys. When they have differences with the boys, they call it rape. Boys do make mistakes. Should they be hanged for that? So, the existing laws that awards death sentence to boys in rape cases need to be amended,” said Mulayam.   His son Akhilesh Yadav coming to his father’s rescue “After all what is wrong with my father’s statement? He stated it as general opinion. Media should avoid publicizing this issue any further.”   His statement reveals that he is also agreeing with his father over ignoring the boys, who commit heinous crimes. Women Organizations in northern states, strongly condemns father and son’s statements and are demanding an unconditional apology from them.

Jairam Ramesh Telangana Campaign

Senior Congress leader and Union Minister Jairam Rameshs Telangana Campaign will start from today.On the first day of his three-day visit, he will address a meeting of party workers at Nirmal town in Adilabad district. He will address similar meetings in Khammam and Nalgonda districts on Friday and will also campaign for the party candidates for Lok Sabha and assembly elections. He is expected to release the Party Manifesto on Saturday.He will meet Telangana PCC chief Ponnala Lakshminarayan and discuss key points relating to the manifesto and election campaigning in the Telangana region.Since he has been elected from Adilabad to the Rajya Sabha he will campaign extensively in this area.

Chit Fund Vijaya Rani caught so easily?

A relief for all those artists whose money was siphoned of in Chit Fund Scam and some news other than the election race.Battula Vijaya Rani known for playing soft and servant roles in the Telugu TV industry was finally caught in Bangalore in connection with the 5/10 Crore chit fund scam ! Accused of befriending her co TV artists and technicians and making them invest in a chit fund that she started a year and half ago and vanished without a trace with all that money.She quietly moved out  from her home in Yellareddyguda and surprisingly her house owner had no clue that she was moving base. But what led to the tip off was the Transport Company clue she left behind as she moved her belongings through a company. Despite all that it took a almost a month for the police to unravel the mustery and locate her .The police found out that she was staying in Bangalore and laid a snare to catch her as she was known to have shift houses and made sure all her relatives also move out of their houses. They also arrested ten others including all her family members, and seized two houses and a car registered in her name. With such careful planning, taking into confidence of so many well known and famous artists and involving her entire family she cleverly got them to believe and invest in her business- that too hard earned money by the TV artists/technicians and yet she left such a simple clue like the Transportation Company one is surprising factor.At least she has been caught but yet to be presented to the media, meanwhile the CCS police will have to unravel the whole scam and its going to be a long wait for those people to get their money back.

Fate of the BJP-TDP alliance

The Bharatiya Janata party which has announced its Lok Sabha candidates has also nominated 21 assembly segments on the last day of filing of nominations. BJP which is in alliance with TDP for the Lok Sabha and Legislative Assembly elections in undivided Andhra Pradesh and as per the  seat sharing arrangement, BJP would field candidates in 47 assembly seats (out of 119) and eight Lok Sabha segments (out of 17) in Telangana.But there still seems to be some discontent with this alliance and it is said that Six district unit presidents in Telangana have submitted their resignations and the TDP cadre is protesting outside Chandrababu Naidu’s residence demanding that should not be a part of the alliance. In Telangana, the TDP realises that if it does not ally with the BJP, it won’t gain. If the BJP does not put up candidates in Telangana then the people won’t choose the TDP as an alternative. In Telangana, the BJP felt that it should have got more than 12 seats out of the 17 in the Lok Sabha segment, and had to settle for 8 seats as the TDP managed to convince the top leadership that they have a very strong cadre in the remaining 9 constituencies.The first list released on April shows : Secunderabad           Bandaru. Ghulam Nabi Azad’s identity crisis

  The state of affairs in Indian politics where the leader is from one state and contests from another place can lead to embarrassing moments. How? Being the Union Minister of Health and Senior Congress leader Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad had gone to his native State of Jammu to cast his vote for the Lok Sabha elections.He was apparently stopped at the polling booth officer who asked him to furnish his Identity proof and which was unfortunately not with him. Seriously why would a Union Minister , leader at the Center , the district president of the party for Jammu and the former in charge of AICC affairs in the state of Andhra Pradesh etc. think about carrying a proof of identity in his own State. But looks like his own state people don’t remember him and he has to go on a image–damage control mode lest he is completely forgotten by his own people. But for the reassuring fact that the matter was settled by a local Congress leader who had to stand for his surety and some BJP leaders who said that he was a leader at the National level and he managed to cast his vote. Surely the people of Andhra Pradesh would have recognized him better than his own state people.

Is Botsa to get advantage of Chiru’s failure?

  Former PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana, present president Raghuveera Reddy and campaigning committee chairman Chiranjeevi were summoned to Delhi by their high command for discussing and finalizing party candidates for Seemandhra region. So, the trio will be leaving for New Delhi today evening.   Congress couldn’t find strong candidates to contest against the mighty TDP and YCP candidates in the elections. Its miserable situation was clearly seen during recent Municipal elections, as it couldn’t find candidates to field on party behalf in many places across 13 districts. So, Congress high command is expecting to find a solution for this problem during its meeting with these three leaders.   Raghuveera and Chiranjeevi have proved that they can’t handle this crisis situation and can’t even mobilize people for their meetings. So, they may not object if Botsa is given full charge of the party to lead it in the elections.   Botsa may also try to take advantage of this situation and insist party tickets to himself, his family members and others in the party with whom he have good relations. If, Botsa could manage to squeeze power from Chiru and Raghuveera, definitely he will strive hard for his return.

Nara Lokesh to hit roads soon

  TDP President Chandrababu Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh will begin campaigning for party from Nimmakuru on Saturday afternoon. Since, he is representing youth wing in the party, his tour is given title as Yuva Prabhanjanam’ by the party.   He will begin his road shows from Nimmakuru around 3pm after garlanding NTR couple statues. During the first day of his tour he will reach Vijayawada via Pamarru, Gudiwada, Kankipadu. He will hold huge public meetings at Gudiwada and NTR Circle in Patamata in Vijayawada besides conducting road shows on his way to Vijayawada. TDP leaders of the district Deveneni Uma Maheswara rao, Buddha Venkanna and others are supervising the arrangements for his road shows and public meetings.

Modi declares he is married man!

  As if responding to Congress managers’ criticism about hiding his marital status, Narendra Modi, in his affidavit filed yesterday along with his nomination papers with Gujarat state election Commission for Vadodara Loksabha seat, has mentioned that he is a married man and his wife name is Jashodaben. Earlier, he used to leave the columns blank during Assembly elections. Congress alleges that his wife is staying away from him in a small house. Modi also has to answer why they are staying away.

Revanth settles for Kondagal

  Senior TDP leader and Kondagal MLA Revanth Reddy, who wants to contest from Malkajgiri for Loksabha has to settle for his home constituency-Kondagal this time also for the sake of new comer Malla Reddy. Although, he is quite upset for the humiliation, he filed his nomination papers from Kondagal on Wednesday afternoon. Party seniors assured him that he will be given due respect, once party comes to power.

Nandamuri brothers’ names kept on hold

  TDP President Chandrababu Naidu has released the first list of party candidates for Seemandhra on Wednesday afternoon. He declared contesting from his home constituency Kuppam in Chitoor district. Balakrishna has openly declared that he is keen to contest from either Krishna district or from Hindupuram constituencies. Harikrishna is also expressed his interest to contest to Assembly from Krishna district.   However, he kept on hold Nandamuri brothers-Balakrishna and Harikrishna’s names for the second list. The same way, Chandrababu also kept on hold of many important constituencies. Balayya fans are anxiously waiting for an official announcement of his name. Any further delay in announcing his name may irk them very much and they may once again hit roads demanding for his ticket.

The latest to join the star campaigners is our Padmasri Sridevi who along with her husband Boney Kapoor on Tuesday campaigned for Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) candidate Amar Singh in Fatehpur Sikri in Uttar Pradesh. Needless to say she was a crowd puller and has caused enough chaos and jams in the small city with her posing with dressed in a sari with cheques in it, she was definitely the right choice to bring in the crowds unlike Amar Singhs now frail personality. Wonder how much she was paid for this also? Meanwhile our beautiful Basanti is going through a grueling campaign which was evident with her trying her hand at the water pump which was quite a tough task for the lady but she pulled it off. Jaya Prada meanwhile is facing troubling as she was charged for violating model code of conduct yesterday for holding a public meeting without seeking permission from the district administration in Muzzafarnager. No matter what it’s these bevy of South beauties who have pulled the crowds and are the cynosure of people’s eyes when it comes to political campaigns up North.
