Congress Managers worried with Robo effect

Chandrababu will never forget to describe Prime Minister Dr.Manmohan Singh as a Robo that is remotely controlled by Sonia Gandhi. Even yesterday, at his Praja Garjana meeting held at Warangal, he mentioned the same and said Rajnikanth’s Robo is much effective than this live Robot Dr.Manmohan Singh. He sharply criticized him for ineffective and voiceless in the government.   Now, Rahul Gandhi’s back room managers are also thinking alike not because Chandrababu has criticized him but for the mighty impact that Narendra Modi is making on the public with his speeches during election campaigning.   Congress managers are worried with their own robotic Prime Minister, who do nothing but prefers simply follow the instructions given by his high command. Though, he announced that he will not continue in his chair after the elections, his lack of interest in projecting himself as able administrator, his ineffective speeches in campaigning are is very badly effecting the party in the context of Narendra Modi’s effective and powerful speeches.   Congress high command, despite prepared to install Rahul Gandhi in his chair if won the elections, it is not courageous to announce him as its PM candidate because it don’t want to happen any damage to his image if got defeated. So, with Rahul unable to openly claim himself as PM candidate of the party and the Prime Minister not willing to project himself, Congress is troubling to sell itself to people.   Therefore, Congress managers are very much worried and putting their heads together to find some idea to counter Modi on this point. Perhaps, the only thing they can find is just dig at his past and if found something interesting usher their CBI parrots against him, otherwise provide enough points to Rahul- the PM in waiting to sling mud against Modi and his BJP.

I am the CM candidate of T-TDP: Krishnaiah

R.Krishnaiah, president of BC associations has categorically declared that he is the TDP Chief Minister candidate for Telangana. He said this in his interview given to The Hindu newspaper yesterday. He hopes that if TDP and BJP enter into poll alliance, BJP also will support his candidature. He said that he deserve that honor for his services to BC communities all these years.   He said all the political parties including TRS and T-Congress parties’ are fighting the elections only to form the government. So, everyone play their own cards to win the elections. So, there is nothing wrong in Chandrababu’s idea of declaring BC candidate as first CM to win this elections game, opines Krishnaiah.   Krishnaiah replaying to a question said “No one has prevented Congress party from making a SC or BC persons as Chief Ministers. But, it has never thought about such ideas, as it is upper cast dominated party. However, it appoints BC leaders as APCC or TPCC presidents only after realizing that it is losing itself to TDP in this particular point. However, it may not allow them to rule the state sitting in the CM chair.”   Krishnaiah’s open statement about his candidature may annoy senior leaders like Errabelli and many others who are dreaming to become first CM of the state. Errabelli has already once stated that party has not proposed him as its CM candidate, but just given him charge of campaigning. Even Chandrababu has not openly declared about his candidature, which hints that he has someone else in his mind. If so, Krishnaiah will feel humilated at the end.

AP Administrative, Police & Forest officers’ reorganization

The State government issued orders promoting Anurag Sharma, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, to the rank of Director General of Police. He will continue to work as the Commissioner of Police Hyderabad and will probably be the last of the police officers to be promoted as DGP along with other IAS and IPS officers , K.R.M. Kishore Kumar -Additional Director, APPA, who has been promoted as Special Director, APPA in the rank of Additional DGP and 2 IAS officers Lingaraj Panigrahi and K. Pradeep Chandra.   With the bifurcation and the State reorganization in place the other major division to happen is the allocation and distribution of the All India Services cadres for Telanagana and rest of Andhra ,which include the IAS (administrative) ,IPS (police )and IFos ( forest ) services which  will be reorganized by a 5 member committee headed  by former Central vigilance Commissioner (CVC) Pratyush Sinha.  The term of the committee is for 3 weeks and based on the requirements, the committee will recommend the appropriate allocation / distribution of these civil servants. There are a total of 284 IAS officers, 209 IPS and 136 IFoS officers working in Unified Andhra Pradesh. The other aspect is to consider is  the status of the conferred IAS and IPS officers and also the willingness of these officials to move into either Telangana or rest of AP as they might find the prospects of living in Hyderabad a much better proposition. We will have to wait for three weeks and see the outcome.

Is Pawan Kalyan fast losing his shine?

As Pawan Kalyan tries to further elaborate about his views and idea of launching the Janasena party, instead of getting support from any section, he is drawing criticism from every side. CPI, YCP, TRS even Varavara rao and Ram Gopal Varma has sharply criticized him.   While YCP leader VasireddyPadma alleges him as a TDP and BJP agent, TRS president writes him off as immature politician, who knows nothing about politics. CPI state General secretary K. Narayana opines that he enters into politics only to safeguard his properties. Varavara rao alleges him for the same reasons and he opines that BJP leader M.Venkaiah Naidu, Lok Satta President Jayaprakash Narayan and TDP President Chandrababu Naidu might have encouraged him to enter into politics as a part of their elections strategy. However, he opines Pawan has lost his credibility with his political entry.   Ram Gopal Varma, who has been demanding for his political entry since a very long time has declared that he is not going to support him or his brother Chiranjeevi, with whom he dreams to make a film. RGV said he tried to go through Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Ism’ book but hardly he could read two or three pages only. He said it is quite confusing and difficult to understand. He said that he couldn’t understand what Pawan want to tell the people. Probably many more may join these people, who gone through his interview given to TV 9 news channel today. It seems Pawan Kalyan is fast losing his shine whenever he opens his mouth to elaborate his views.

RBI Rajan’s triple benefit

As part of the Central bank's first bi-monthly monetary policy statement for 2014-15.after taking office in September 13, RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan has kept the repo rate unchanged at 8% and the Cash Reserve Ratio at 4%.   He has raised the repo rate three times by a total of 75 basis points since he joined and also expressed his concern about risks to growth in an economy expanding at under 5 percent which is the slowest in a decade. He said growth in the fiscal year that began this month is expected in a range of 5 to 6 percent, with downside risks. The country's economic growth slipped to a decade-low of 4.5 per cent in 2012-13 and is estimated at 4.9 per cent in the current financial year. Repo rate is the rate at which the central bank of a country (RBI in case of India) lends money to commercial banks in the event of any shortfall of funds. He also gave a word of caution in lieu of the upcoming elections and that if a stable government is not delivered this could have a considerable impact on the markets and a possible turmoil in the equity and the stock markets, if an unstable govt. comes to power and also reassured that the RBI is prepared for the turmoil. As part of a consumer protection initiative, the Reserve Bank of India also asked banks not to levy penal charges on customers who don't maintain a minimum balance in basic savings bank accounts. Instead of levying penal charges for non-maintenance of minimum balance in ordinary savings bank accounts, banks should limit services available on such accounts to those available to basic savings bank deposit accounts and restore the services when the balances improve to the minimum required level. Banks should also not levy penal charges if the minimum balance is not kept in any inoperative account, he added.
