      దేశ ప్రజలంతా ఎంతో ఉత్కంటగా ఎదురుచూస్తున్న సార్వత్రిక ఎన్నికల లెక్కింపు ప్రారంభమైంది. ముందుగా పోస్టల్ బ్యాలెట్ లోని ఓట్లను లెక్కిస్తారు. ఉదయం 8:30 నిమిషాలకు ఈవీఎంల ఓట్ల లెక్కింపు ప్రారంభమవుతుంది. ఉమ్మడి రాష్ట్రంలో జరిగిన ఎన్నికల్లో తొలి ఫలితం తెలంగాణలోనే వెల్లడి కానుంది. చార్మినార్ అసెంబ్లీ ఫలితం 13 రౌండ్లలో తేలిపోనుంది. కాబట్టి ఉదయం పది గంటలకే ఈ నియోజకవర్గ ఫలితం వచ్చే అవకాశం ఉంది. ఇక, సీమాంధ్రలో తూర్పు గోదావరి జిల్లా రాజోలు నియోజకవర్గ ఫలితం 14 రౌండ్లలో పూర్తి కానుంది. దీంతో, చార్మినార్ కానీ, రాజోలు కానీ తొలి ఫలితంగా వెల్లడయ్యే అవకాశం ఉంది. ఇక, లోక్‌సభ ఎన్నికల ఫలితాలకు సంబంధించి అనకాపల్లి ఫలితం మొదట వెల్లడి కానుంది. ఇక్కడ 18 రౌండ్లలో అధికారు లు ఫలితాన్ని వెల్లడించనున్నారు. అదే విధంగా, రాష్ట్రంలోనే అత్యధిక మంది ఓటర్లు, అభ్యర్థులు పోటీ పడిన మల్కాజిగిరి పార్లమెంటు ఫలితం మాత్రం చిట్టచివరన రానుంది. ఈ పార్లమెంటు నియోజకవర్గం పరిధిలోని కూకట్‌పల్లి అసెంబ్లీ ఫలితం కూడా చివరనే రానుంది. ఈ రెండుచోట్ల 45 రౌండ్లుపాటు ఓట్లను లెక్కించనున్నారు.

Rohit Shekhar ‘Tiwari ‘ gets justice finally

In what could be described in a true filmi style- justice has been served on Rohit Shekhar the son of 89 year old controversial veteran Congress leader N D Tiwari . The senior Congress leader married Rohit's mother Ujjawala Sharma yesterday at his Mall Avenue residence in a traditional way and to give sanctitiy to the relationship which he came out of the open after a paternity suit was filed by Rohit a lawyer by profession.The paternity suit lasted for  six-years-after which he won and ND Tiwari was declared the father, after a DNA testing. The Delhi High Court had on April 22 held that Mr. Tiwari was the biological father of Mr. Shekhar and prior to the hearing Mr Tiwari had openly accepted him as his son.

Latest Exit Polls predict Modi as PM

BJP prime minsiterial candidate Mr  Narendra Modi is set to become India's next prime minister, according to a major exit poll A forecast published in Reuters say that Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its allies  are likely to win 279 seats in the lower house of parliament, the poll conducted by Hansa Research for the NDTV news channel showed. A majority of 272 seats is needed to form a government. Six exit polls released earlier this week forecast results ranging from 249 to 340 seats for the BJP-led alliance. The group will be in a strong position to lure regional parties to form a coalition government even if its seat tally comes in at the bottom end of that range, political analysts say. With his Social Media campaign and charismatic presence itgoes to see if this could be a reality after the Counting gets over by tomorrow .

Botsa also accepts defeat

  All the Congress leaders from Rahul Gandhi to former PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana, who until yesterday have been claiming sweeping victory, are now humbly accepting their party defeat even before the verdict comes out. Especially, Botsa Satyanarayana is very confident of his family members’ victory even after facing the public anger. However, he is also now accepting defeat. He said that all political parties have made Congress party a scapegoat in bifurcation issue by turning around after giving consent letters for dividing the state. He also admits that some mistakes have taken place during 10 years of Congress ruling. He promised the people that he will fight on their behalf to ensure all the elections promises made by the winning party are implemented in the next few months.   Botsa is blaming TDP and YCP for taking ‘U’ turn on bifurcation, but he should remember that it is his Congress party which played big brother role in bifurcation issue and did all the odd things to gain political advantage of that. Even Botsa has played double games with people of Seemandhra over this sensitive issue and he is paying heavily for it. Hence, blaming others on this particular issue, underlines that his attitude has not yet changed and he feel no regrets for his deeds.

AP SSC results declared

The AP Board SSC Results 2014 have been declared today by the Andhra Pradesh Board of Secondary Education .The Special Advisor to the Governor Mr. Salluddin declared the results today at 11:00 AM. The SSC exams which were conducted in the month of March/April 2014 where nearly 12,76,468 students appeared and gave the exams. The total pass out percentage is 88.62 %. The pass out rate among girls is 89.33% and the boy’s pass out percentage is 87.96% .This time the girls scored higher than the boys in the exams. East Godavari district topped the list with 96.26% and the last in the district list is Adilabad with a meager 58.31 % pass out rate. Recounting and Revaluation of the papers will be done till May 30th 2014 and the date for the Supplementary exams has been set for June 16th . The Marks memo will be released in 10 days and can be collected at the nearest E Seva or Mee Seva centers.

Does BJP need outside support?

  It is very very funny to hear BJP senior leader M.Venkaiah Naidu stating that his party will accept any party support, while also asserting that BJP lead NDA alliance will win more than 300 MP seats. He said that BJP will welcome all its old allies and also welcomes new friends to board the NDA alliance. Even the opinion polls conducted by many news channels also predicts that BJP lead NDA alliance is going to win more than 272 seats.   Hence, Venkaiah Naidu’s statement about taking outside support is confusing. It may give opportunity to beleaguered Congress party to create suspicion among NDA allies. While, Narendra Modi is preparing to take charge of the government at New Delhi very soon, Venkaiah Naidu’s statement is very dismaying.

Mysoora condemns Lagadapati survey report

  Lagadapati Rajagopal’s opinion poll survey makes TDP, BJP and TRS very happy, but irks Congress and YSR Congress parties. He predicts both these parties are going to lose the elections battle and rest of the parties are going to form governments at state and national level.   MV Mysoora Reddy, senior YCP leader rubbishes Lagadapati’s predictions and asked why he is conducting surveys when he retires from politics. He opined that Lagadapati is talking like some political party agent or for encouraging betting gangs. He rubbished the political analysis of TDP victory in Seemandhra. Mysoora said that he is very confident about Jagan becoming CM of the state. He said that YCP will get 110-120 MLA seats and 15-20 MP seats. He said there were so many political developments taken place after the local body elections. So, one can’t expect the same verdict repeat in the general elections also.   Of course, Mysoora Reddy may be correct, but he would have explained why the rural and urban voters have preferred TDP, when they are made-up their mind to elect Jagan Mohan Reddy as Chief Minister of the state.

October 18th Abhaya Rape convicts get 20 years RI

A fast track court of the Ranga Reddy district courts today convicted the two accused –V Sathish and N Venkateswarulu for raping an IT professional on October 18th 2013. Termed as the Abhaya case by the AP police and media the trial was completed within 7 months and the courts have imposed a 20 years Rigorous Imprisonment and Rs 1000 fine under Sections 356, 342, 376 D of the Indian Penal Code. As part of the trial, 21 witnesses were examined and both the accused pleaded not guilty. But the circumstantial evidence was blatantly pointing towards them, along with the CC footage taken from the toll booths on the ORR roads and the phone call records she had made to her friends in Bangalore and Hyderabad saying that she was trapped. The victim “Abhaya “ an employee of an IT company at Hitec City was kidnapped and raped by the two car drivers on October 18th last year. She was waiting for an auto rickshaw after shopping at a mall in Hitec City, when Sathish, the driver of the Volvo taxi car offered to drop her at her hostel. His friend Venkateswarlu, was seated in the car and was posing as a passenger. Once she got in the car the accused diverted the car, took the woman to the ORR road and crossed the various Toll gates and took her to Kolluru in Medak district on the outskirts of the city and raped her. They later left the woman at her hostel and threatened to kill her if she told the police. The 22 year old victim was too traumatized to report the case and had to be counseled and given confidence to come forward and record her statement. To solve the case the Police had taken the help of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to crack the case.

ESL Narasimhan will be Governor for both T & Andhra

As part of the AP Reorganization Bill 2014 which under Clauses 7& 8, says that the Governor of the existing State of Andhra Pradesh shall be the Governor for both the successor States of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for such period as may be determined by the President. Mr E S L Marasimhan’s name has been proposed for this post unanimously and has received the assent from both the President’s and the Prime Minister’s offices, where Dr Manmohan Singh has signed on the dotted line for Mr E S L Narasimhan  name to be the Governor for both the States of Andhra Pradesh and Telanagana which will be separated as on June 2nd 2014.The official confirmation will be sent to the Raj Bhavan within one or two days. Meanwhile May 25th has been set as a deadline for officials to complete all the formalities with regard to the bifurcation of the state and it is clear that there must be no spill-over of work after the due date.He is diligently working on the task of getting the bifurcation process completed as fast as possible so that the trial run for the new states’ administration can be done and identify any issues which might occur and have them solved before the bifurcation date of June 2nd 2014.  

MPTC and ZPTC elections results final list

State Election Commissioner Bhanwar Lal has declared that counting of MPTC and ZPTC votes was over. He said out of 443 ZPTCs in Telangana 440results were declared. Out of 6525 MPTC seats, counting of 6467 seats were completed. He announced the final list of winners in the elections. Here is the final list.

A man of few words which has also been the cause of ire of the Indian public and fuel for satire by the Social media , his entry into politics also was a forced one, where in 1991 former Prime Minister at that time, Mr P.V. Narasimha Rao, chose Singh to be his Finance Minister and had sent his Principal Secretary to him telling him that ‘the PM would like you to become the Minister of Finance’ which he hadn’t taken seriously He was tracked down the next morning, was told to get dressed up and come to Rashtrapati Bhavan for the swearing in and that was how he was inducted in the cabinet.   The Cambridge and Oxford educated Mr. Singh was also known to have spearheaded the economic liberalization of the country which was why he was chosen by Mr Rao for his strong economic acumen and also by virtue of him holding many important advisory positions in the Government, including that of the Chief Economic Advisor. He will hold his last Cabinet Meeting on May 17th and address the nation before he bids farewell to the nation as the 13th Prime Minister, but will still be seen in the Parliament as a Rajya Sabha member where his term will continue till 2019.

US ready to roll red carpet to Modi

  So far, US government has been refusing to grant visa to Narendra Modi in connection with Godra riots in 2002, but it is ready to revoke its decision after seeing his chances to become Prime Minister of India are bright.   US State Department Spokesperson Jen Psaki speaking to media said, “Heads of state and heads of government are eligible for A1 visa classification under the INA (Immigration and Nationality Act). No individual automatically qualifies for a US visa."   Obama government might have realized that continuing the ban on Narendra Modi will harm the bilateral relations between two countries and especially it will adversely affect its business interests in India. So, it takes out the rule book from drawer and saying Modi can be allowed to visit USA.
