Ravindra Jadeja was fined with Rs 20,000

Ahmedabad: Ravinder Jadeja, after paying a fine of Rs. 20,000, for clicking a selfie with the lion which is strictly prohibited by law, was let off at Gir Wildlife Sanctuary by Gujarat forest department.
A P Singh, Chief Conservator of Forests, Junagadh said that the inquiry report was yet to be sent to the authorities and they had collected Rs 20,000 from the Indian cricketer, Jadeja, for breaking the rules during his visit inside the sanctuary in June. Mr.Singh noted that inquiry report and penalty are two different things and the inquiry report would be sent to higher authorities after they finalize the report. He also added that actions against forest staff would be taken based on the findings of the inquiry report.
