Time to remind Centre about its promises ?

People of AP state are witnessing political parties in the state are crossing swords over state capital issue, even after state government has taken a final decision on this issue two days ago. It can be justified people of Rayalaseema are protesting government decision, but not the political parties, because there is large difference on their concepts.   Rayalaseema people are demanding the state government to build the capital at Kurnool. They start protesting when the government ignores their pleas. Hence, their anguish and protests can be justified. But, the two main opposition parties Congress and YSR Congress parties, which do not want to spell their stand on this issue, are blaming state government for not consulting them and for not conducting a debate on this issue. Their demand for a debate on the issue can be justified if they would have spells their stand, but not when they want to gain some political mileage out of it.   YCP obstructs the house proceedings demanding a debate on this issue but later welcomed the state government’s decision. It is interesting to know that it gave a bandh call at Kurnool, while their leader is welcoming state government’s decision to build the state capital at Vijayawada. People of the state would appreciate ruling and opposition parties if they both collectively put pressure on the Centre for early release of funds for constructing the state capital and for other promises made in the AP Reorganization Bill-2014, instead of quarrelling with other to gain political mileage out of this issue.

TRS, BJP leaves Congress behind in Medak By-Poll

Political parties’ strategies to win the Medak Loksabha by-elections are quite interesting. Actually, every one believed that the main fight would be between ruling TRS and Congress parties, because BJP candidate Jagga Reddy has several drawbacks. But, it is interesting to see TRS is considering Jagga Reddy as its main rival instead of Congress candidate Sunitha Lakshma Reddy, who is predicted fighting for second place after TRS in the by-elections.   Hence, TRS and BJP are crossing swords, ignoring Congress candidate. TRS adopts the same policy that was proved very successful for it in the general elections. It tags Jagga Reddy as Telangana betrayer and backed by Andhra leaders. It reminds his arguments opposing Telangana state creation and his association with Pawan Kalyan and Chandrababu Naidu to highlight its point.   BJP also adopts the same policy that it used in the general elections, but proved unsuccessful. It links TRS party with MIM and argues that voting to TRS candidate is voting to MIM party. BJP Telangana president Kishan Reddy speaking at a elections campaigning meeting held at Siddipeta yesterday reminds the people how the state Congress government was used to dance to the tunes of MIM in the past and asked the people not to let MIM take a ride on TRS government. He demands the state government that to conduct ‘Telangana freedom day’ in Golkonda Fort to prove that it is not surrendered to MIM.   However, people of Telangana are aware that Kishan Reddy’s arguments are not worth considering, because Telangana Chief Minister KCR won’t let drive his TRS car sitting in the back seat. Comparatively TRS arguments have the edge over BJP’s arguments and also may effectively influence the voters.

Rahul Gandhi finds fault with Modi drum beating

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, who is expected to take charge as Prime Minister of the country has become political un-employee, after his Congress party was defeated in the recent general elections. So, he takes a nap in the Loksabha back benches or occasional visit his Amethi as if to remind the people there that he is their representative in the Loksabha, otherwise there is no reason to visit there.   During his recent visit to Amethi, he criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for beating the drums in Japan. He said “Modi made so many tall promises to come to power. But, his government did not start working even after three months. He is beating drums, while back at home people are suffering with power crisis and steep price rise of vegetables. If, Modi has forgotten his tall promises, I am here to remind him. He promised to bring down the prices very shortly, but he couldn’t. So, I suggest him that it is time for him to start working for the people of the country.”   Rahul’s remarks are revealing his immaturity. Unlike previous Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, who is used to remotely operate by Sonia and Rahul Gandhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is making dent on foreign affairs. While entire world is amused with Modi’s hidden artistic skills, Rahul Gandhi alone found fault with it. Rahul Gandhi, who can’t even lead handful MPs in the Loksabha, should realize that he is criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is leading 125 crores people of the country.
