The play turned violent when she aimed at her mother. It really got fired and the bullet ran into the body of her mother. "The girl said the pistol suddenly went off and the bullet hit her mother sitting in the room. She is in a state of shock," said the investigating officer. The injured women was rushed to the hospital, but her condition is said to be still critical. That’s what we call bad luck. Isn’t it!

Techie rides on horse to protest traffic

Roopesh Kumar Verma is a high end software engineer. But he seems to be fed up with his job and with the traffic in Bengaluru. So he has decided to show his protest in unique way. Roopesh rode on a horse on the last working day of his office. "I have been staying in Bengaluru for the past eight years and I am fed up of the bottlenecks and air pollution... Bengaluru is overcrowded and too many vehicles on the road lead to traffic jams every day," said Roopesh to news18. The gesture of Roopesh has gone viral on social media and it has of course displayed the plight of common people in the traffic. Roopesh has resigned the job and was planning to initiate a startup. Man rapes his daughter and kills wife – Assam

We often hear that humanity is on the down trend. Here is one such example. Purna Nahar Deka from Assam was alleged of raping his daughter nine months back. His own wife has filed a complaint of his raping their daughter. The case was under hearing and both Deaka and his wife attended the court for the procedure. Deka took the opportunity to hack his wife to death in the premises of the court itself. "I am innocent... She filed a false case against me involving my daughter. She did not even allow me to come home after I was released on bail. So I killed her today," said Purna Nahar Deka after his arrest. Well! god only knows the truth.

Indian painting fetches 26 crores

Indian painter Tyeb Mehta is not a new name in cultural circles. He is recognised as one of the famous modern painters in the lineage of MF Hussain. His painting `Kali' fetched a whopping 26.4 crores in a recent auction. The auction was conducted by a Indian firm known as Saffronart. This sale is a record for Tyeb Mehta surpassing his previous record of 22.9 received from the auction of a painting `Woman On Rickshaw’. ``The sale of Tyeb Mehta's Kali marks an important achievement in modern Indian art sales," said Mr Dinesh Vazirani, CEO and co-founder of Saffronart. Well the painting Kali is all about the Indian goddess, but it’s hard to find any meaning in the painting if you are not well versed in the field of modern art.

Three months leave for father’s in India

Paternal leave is something new to Indians. Father’s of newly born in India won’t get any leave privileges when compared to mother’s. Though many countries have been granting leave to males after they are blessed with a child, there are no such rules in India. India is among 90 countries which don’t think about paternal leave. But things might be coming soon. Many studies have indicated that the presence and closeness of father with the new born would have a positive effect on the child. According to a report from UNICEF, India might soon introduce a paternity bill granting three months of leave for the fathers.

No water in Hyderabad by 2020- a report

You heard it right. NITI Aayog, the policy commission of India has warned that Hyderabad might run out of it’s ground water by 2020. And Hyderabad is not the only city to face the situation. 21 cities including Delhi, Bengaluru and Chennai are on the brink of water shortage. Moreover, it fears that the present ground water is highly contaminated due to excessive usage. It further classified Andhra Pradesh as High performer and Telangana as Low performer on the basis of steps taken to preserve groundwater levels. It would be interesting to hear the response of Telangana government as it speaks highly of the measures taken by the administration to improve water supply for irrigation and drinking.

He was brought to justice for threatening an activist named Sandya Eknaligoda, two years back. However, the past of Galagodaatte Gnanasara does provide with any good leads. He was often alleged for initiating hate crimes against Muslims. However he used to get away with them as Buddhism is the official religion in Sri Lanka. Galagodaatte Gnanasara even leads an extremist organisation called Bodu Bala Sena (Buddhist Power Force). Well! Extremist doesn’t have any religion! Does it!

The Madras high court is going to deliver a key judgement today regarding the disqualification of 18 MLA’s. These MLA’s belong to the rebel faction T.Dhinakaran of AIADMK. The speaker has earlier disqualified these 18 members as they were against the party. However these 18 MLA’s has knocked the door of highcourt saying that they have not acted against the party. The high court has reserved the judgement for today. If the court rules out the disqualification and accepts the MLA’s action to be legitimate... it would be a fatal blow to the present government. The present government would fall into minority and DMK would have the opportunity to form a government.

The culprits would attach a bug to the genuine ATM machines which would record all the data of all ATM cards entered into he machine. A small camera would also be fixed to find out the PIN number entered by you. That’s it! We have provided them with enough data to create a similar ATM card and misuse it. But here is a problem. You might get alerted at the initial withdrawal and get your card blocked. So, the scamsters has sought a new way to grab huge amounts in a few moments. They are now making multiple cards to withdraw the money immediately. For example a 72-year-old woman in East Delhi's received 18 messages of cash withdrawal from her bank within 12 minutes. By the time she could react, 2.3 lakhs had been snatched out of her account from different locations.

Speaking to media on Monday the minister in a reference to a Rajput organisation has said – ‘There are people like rainy rats who come out of their holes during election time’. This has of course agitated the Karnisena who has demanded immediate apology from the minister and otherwise threatened her with dire consequences.

Who could ignore the presence of Truecaller on our android systems. It has become a virtual phone book in this mobile era. Behold! It doesn’t seem to be the end of Truecaller’s utility. The company is going to get expanded in the payment sector. It has even acquired a multi bank payment company named Chillr. “By acquiring Chillr, we are reaffirming our commitment to mobile payments and strengthening our plans to increase its adoption among our user base,” said the co-founder of Truecaller Nami Zarringhalam. With the increase of digital payments in India, Truecaller expects to grab some share in the payment secotr.

Well we can understand that there are too many scams for us to remember, but here is yet another scam that has to be noted down. There used to be an NGO in Bihar named Srijan Mahila Vikas Sahyog Samiti. The NGO used to impart vocational training to women. Sound good! But here is the loophole- the samithi was able to acquire crores of government funds in the pretext of welfare funding. Almost 880 crores of rupees of money is estimated to be involved in the scam. As the bank officials too were involved in the scam, it’s not surprising that the scam was overlooked for almost a decade (2004-2013). Now the CBI is slowly registering the cases against the culprits. Yesterday it has registered four more cases against the office bearers of Srijan Mahila Vikas Sahyog Samiti, officials of the Bank of Baroda and Indian Bank and others for alleged misuse of government funds.
