Crafts with Buttons-3 Buttons Buttons and Buttons....they are not found when necessary to stitch on a shirt, and they gather everywhere when not needed....these days, shirts and tops also come with an extra button which is never needed atall....we need not wait for these buttons to be gathered for making a craft item..buttons are inexpensive and so can be bought from any crafts or tailoring shop. We can makeover an old or boring lampshade with buttons glued around, or buttons hung around the rim or bottom of the shade. all we need is a clean lampshade, without dust on it. Color the buttons before sticking them to the shade, or buy buttons of desired colors and then start sticking them or sewing them to the shade with hand. Even simple pillow or cushion covers can be decorated and made interesting using buttons...either use a contrast or matching color thread to sew the buttons or with a permanent fabric glue, start sticking the buttons to the covers. wash with care and only follow machine wash when using glue to decorate or fix any fabric. Crafts with Buttons- 2 We have been learning about crafts with buttons...today we shall see how the ordinary buttons can make a beautiful necklace, interesting hair clips and can even dress up simple paper clips and board pins.  Using a nice satin ribbon and some embroidery wire, we can knit a hep necklace that is either multicolored or that which matches a particular dress. Buttons can decorate even hair clips and hair bands. Bring home simple hair bands or clips, using a strong glue stick your desired buttons in a pattern you like, and Lo, you can even gift these items to li'l girls. Stationary supplies can be made colorful and interesting when pasted with buttons. We can dressup paper clips, board pins, marker pen caps, notice boards etc with multicolored buttons or by following a particular theme. We can make garlands of flowers or even a bouquet from Egg cartons. * All you need is a strong glue * a clean surface to stick flowers to * few acrylic colors of desired shades * painting supplies *a pair of scissors or a craft knife * one clean cardboard egg carton Once you have the idea in mind, start cutting every cup in the carton into flower shape. Paint all the flowers to dry completely. If you want to decorate an empty mirror or a photoframe, stick the flowers using a strong glue.   Tissue paper roll paintings-1 Tissue paper rolls are in use everywhere these days. After the paper is utilised, the cardboard inside can be used in a variety of ways for crafts and painting. Specially, toddlers and children in school can use these cardboard rolls safely for crafts. Here are few ways for engaging kids with paper crafts. We need: Tissue paper cardboard rolls Colors of desired varieties ( acrylic or water) Canvas or painting sheet Water A thick Painting brush A wide plate to mix colors A pair of scissors Get the canvas or painting sheet ready. Make sure the kids dont spill any colors before you start your instructions. Mix the desired colors on a painting tray. With water, dilute the colors a little, so that we can easily dip the cardboard. Cut the cardboard roll with scissors in desired shape and pattern, as shown in the picture. Dip the roll now in colors inorder that paint is absorbed well and start dabbing onto the canvas or painting sheet in a design or pattern you like. Let your kids show their creativity. Make sure to stop them when you think the art is perfect according to you. Kids can be very creative sametime, their naughty sped can spoil the art piece, hence your timely control is important. Easy Chevron Painting Chevron design has become one hot pattern these days....wherever you see, there will be quite some Art pieces, canvas frames, gift packing papers and even Cushion covers with Chevron design in every Craft or Home store. Creating one such pattern for DIY pieces is actually tough. But the skilled professionals have their own short cut methods from every trial of theirs. Here's how we can create a chevron pattern in simple steps. We need: An empty canvas A long card board piece Measuring scale Pair of scissors Painter's tape A pencil, eraser Desired colors ( oil or acrylic) Paint brushes and painting supplies etc Using a measuring scale and pencil, make a chevron pattern on the cardboard and cut it along the shape. Place this stencil on the empty canvas and mark the pattern with pencil. Once the pattern is marked, stick the painters tape on the area you dont want to paint. After the tape is applied to alternate lines, color the open lines with your desired color ( Oil or Acrylic) using brushes. Let the canvas dry completely. Oil paint takes longer ( days) to dry. Peel the tape off. You can paint the remaining lines with a different color or leave them white. Your famous Chevron painting is ready for showoff !! - pratyusha

  Canvas crafts with Buttons   Painting on canvas is a difficult skill, i agree. An art piece on Canvas gives a finished look to our wall decor, and thats the reason most of us immediately think of Vanvas paintings or Art pieces when it comes to decorating walls. I have minimal expertise with Canvas paintings but i crave them alot, and so i have gone aboard on the web and found quite some ideas to create Canvas art pieces, a few using our Shirt buttons too. They are easy to make, just buy a Canvas frame of any required size, make a light sketch using a light pencil, apply fevicol (Elmer's Glue All ) on the sketch and start sticking the Buttons of the desired sizes and colors.... Another option is to cover the Canvas with a printed cloth or Jute fabric, then either make a pencil sketch of a desired shape or design or start applying the buttons in haphazard shape. Here, choosing contrast colors for the base fabric and Buttons is the key for a perfect look. We can also make this Buttons-Canvas art project a Kid craft idea and keep them busy for a while.   యోగర్ట్ యోగం పెరుగు ఆరోగ్యానికి మంచిదని తెలుసు కదా. అయితే దానిని రోజువారీ వంటలలో విరివిగా ఎలా వాడచ్చో తెలుసుకుంటే పెరుగు వాడకాన్ని పెంచవచ్చు. ఆ చిట్కాలే కొన్ని  ఈ రోజు మీకోసం ఇస్తున్నాం, ఆలోచిస్తే మీకూ కొన్ని తడతాయి. * పెరుగును బాగా చిలికి కొద్దిగా పంచదార, ఉప్పు, నచ్చిన పండ్ల ముక్కలు లేదంటే మొలకెత్తిన గింజలను చేర్చాలి. చివరిలో కొంచెం తేనె వేస్తే రుచిగా వుంటుంది. ఎండలు ఎక్కువగా వున్నప్పుడు సాయంత్రాలలో తింటే హాయిగా వుంటుంది. *  చపాతీ పిండి కలిపేటప్పుడు కొంచం పాలు పోస్తాం కదా.. మెత్తగా వస్తాయని, ఈసారి కొంచం పెరుగు వేసి చూడండి.. రోటీలు మృదువుగా వస్తాయి, పైగా రుచి కూడా పెరుగుతుంది. * బిర్యానీ చేసేటప్పుడు ఓ కప్పు పెరుగు వేస్తే కమ్మదనంతో పాటు రుచి కూడా చాలా బావుంటుంది. * పెరుగు పచ్చళ్ళ గురించి చెప్పేదేముంది... కొబ్బరి, పొట్లకాయ, టమోటా ఇలా ఎన్నోరకాల  పెరుగు పచ్చళ్ళు చేసుకోవచ్చు. * చపాతీలలోకి రైతా చేసుకుంటే చాలా బావుంటుంది. త్వరగా అయిపోతుంది కూడా. బూందీ రైతా అయితే అన్ని రైస్ ఐటమ్స్‌లోకి బావుంటుంది. రోటిలలోకి మాత్రం కీరా, కారెట్, అలాగే ఆనపకాయ తురిమి వేస్తే చాలా రుచిగా వుంటుంది. * చాలా కూరలలో పాలు పోసి వండుతాం కదా.. కొన్ని గ్రేవీ కూరలలో పెరుగు వేస్తారు. కొంచెం పులుపు రుచి వస్తుంది దాని వల్ల కూరకి. * సూపులలో క్రీమ్‌కి బదులుగా పెరుగు వాడవచ్చు. * ఇక ఇన్‌స్టెంట్ రవ్వ దోశలు వేయాలంటే పెరుగు వుండాల్సిందే. వేయించిన రవ్వని పెరుగులో కలిపి కాసేపు పోయాక తగినంత నీరుపోసి వేస్తే రవ్వ దోశలు చక్కగా కుదురుతాయి. * పెరుగు వడలు, ఆవియల్ వంటి కూరలు, దద్దోజనం లాంటి రైస్ ఐటమ్ ఒకటా రెండా.. పెరుగుతో ఎన్నో వంటకాలు చేసుకోవచ్చు. * ఇక లస్సీ, నిమ్మరసం కలిపిన మజ్జిగ దాహాన్ని తీరుస్తాయి. * పెరుగు మన డైజిస్టివ్ సిస్టంని ఆరోగ్యంగా ఉంచుతుంది. అందుకే వీలు అయినంత ఎక్కువగా పెరుగును వివిధ రూపాలలో మన ఆహారంలో చేర్చుకోవాలి.     -రమ

ఉప్పుతో కొన్ని ఉపకారాలు ఇంట్లో ఇల్లాలికి చిన్నచిన్న చిట్కాలు తెలిస్తే పని సులువు అవుతుంది. శ్రమ తగ్గుతుంది. అలాంటి చిట్కాలలో అందుబాటులో ఉండే ఉప్పుతో కొన్ని ...... 1) మైక్రోఓవెన్ లో వంట చేసేటప్పుడు కొన్నిసార్లు పదార్థాలు పొంగుతాయి. ఆసమయంలో ఓవెన్ అంతా శుభ్రం చెయ్యాలంటే పెద్దపనే - పైగా పదార్థాలు కాలిన వాసన ఓవెన్ లో అలానే ఉంటుంది. అందుకు చెయ్యాల్సిందల్లా పదార్థాలు పడిన చోట కొద్దిగా ఉప్పును చల్లి, పొడి వస్త్రంతో తుడిస్తే చాలు. ఓవెన్ శుభ్రపడడంతో పాటు, పదార్థాలు కాలినవాసన కూడా పోతుంది. 2) టీ, కాఫీ, తాగే కప్పులు మనం తోమినా, అడుగున నల్లగా మరకలు కట్టి ఉంటాయి. ఆ కప్పుల్లో చిటికెడు ఉప్పు వేసి, శుభ్రం చేస్తే కొత్త వాటిల్లా మెరుస్తాయి. గాజు, పింగాణి పాత్రలని ఇలా ఉప్పుతో శుభ్రం చేస్తే తెల్లగా మెరుస్తాయి. 3) అందానికి ఫ్లవర్ వాజ్ లలో పెట్టే ప్లాస్టిక్ పూలకి దుమ్ము పడితే, వాటిని నీటితో శుభ్రం చేసేకంటే ఒక ప్లాస్టిక్ కవరులో గుప్పెడు ఉప్పు వేసి, ఈ పువ్వులని కవరులో పెట్టి బాగా అటుఇటు కదిపితే, పువ్వులకి ఉండే మురికి వదులుతుంది. పువ్వులు కొత్తవాటిల్లా కనిపిస్తాయి.   4) టూత్ బ్రష్షులలో బ్యాక్టీరియా చేరుతుందని మీకు తెలుసా ? ఆ బ్యాక్టీరియా వల్ల దంతాలకు ఎంతో హాని జరుగుతుంది. అలా కాకూడదు అంటే వారానికి ఒక్కసారైనా ఉప్పు కలిపిన గోరువెచ్చని నీటిలో బ్రష్షులని వేసి ఒక 15 నిముషాలు ఉంచి కడగాలి. 5) వంటింటి గట్టు, డైనింగు టేబుల్ వంటివి ఉప్పు కలిపిన నీటితో శుభ్ర పరిస్తే ఈగల సమస్య ఉండదు. 6) ఒక మగ్గు నీటిలో గుప్పెడు ఉప్పు వేసి, ఆ నీటితో కిటికీ అద్దాలను, కారు అద్దాలను, డ్రెస్సింగ్ టేబుల్ అద్దాలను తుడిస్తే మిలమిలా మెరుస్తాయి. 7) ఆపిల్ ని కట్ చేసాక గాలికి వదిలేస్తే ఎర్రగా మారుతుంది. అదే చిటెకెడు ఉప్పువేసిన నీటిలో ఆపిల్ ముక్కలను వేస్తే రంగు మారకుండా ఉంటాయి. 8) ఇంట్లో ఎక్కడైనా చీమలు వస్తే ఆ చుట్టుపక్కల ఉప్పుతో ఒకగీతను గీయండి, చీమలు ఆ ఉప్పుగీతను దాటి రావు. 9) ఇంట్లో ఉన్న కార్పెట్లను శుభ్రం చేయాలంటే ముందురోజు రాత్రి ఆ కార్పెట్లమీద ఉప్పును చల్లండి. మర్నాడు కార్పెట్ ని వాక్యూం క్లీనర్ తో క్లీన్ చేస్తే కార్పెట్లు ఫ్రెష్ గా ఉంటాయి. చెడువాసనలు ఏమైనా ఉంటే పోతాయి.   10) కొత్తబట్టలని మొదటిసారిగా ఉతికేటప్పుడు ఉప్పువేసిన నీటిలో నానబెట్టి ఉతికితే రంగులు పోకుండా ఉంటాయి. -రమ

    మహిళలకు రైల్వే వరాలు   ఈసారి రైల్వే బడ్జెట్‌లో మహిళల మీద ప్రత్యేక దృష్టిని కేంద్రీకరించారు. రైలు ప్రయాణంలో మహిళల భద్రతకు అత్యంత ప్రాధాన్యం ఇస్తూ కేంద్ర రైల్వే శాఖ మంత్రి కొన్ని ప్రతిపాదనలు చేశారు. ఈ ప్రతిపాదనలు సక్రమంగా అమలైతే రైలు ప్రయాణం మహిళలకు మరింత సౌకర్యవంతం అవుతుందనడంలో ఎలాంటి సందేహమూ లేదు. * టోల్ ఫ్రీ నంబర్ 182 నుండి ఎటువంటి భద్రత సహాయకర చర్యల కోసమైనాకాల్ చేయవచ్చు. * ఎక్కువ మంది సెక్యూరిటీ గార్డులు ఫ్లాట్ ఫాం మీద ఉండేలా చూస్తారు. లేడీస్ కంపార్ట్‌మెంట్‌లలో ప్రత్యేక సీసీ కెమెరాల ఏర్పాటు. * ట్రావెలింగ్‌లో ఎలాంటి సమస్యలు వచ్చినా ఆల్ ఇండియా హెల్ప్ లైన్ నెంబర్ 138 నుండి రిపోర్టు చేయవచ్చు. * రైల్వే స్టేషన్లలో ఇంటిగ్రేటెడ్ సెక్యూరిటీ సిస్టమ్ కోసం 4.72 కోట్లు కేటాయింపు. * రైల్వే డిపార్ట్‌మెంటుకు సంబంధించిన కంప్లయింట్స్ ఇవ్వడానికి మొబైల్ అప్లికేషన్‌ను అభివృద్ధి చేస్తున్నారు. ఈ అప్లికేషన్ అందుబాటులోకి వస్తే రైళ్ళలో ప్రయాణించే మహిళలకు మరింత సౌకర్యవంతంగా వుంటుంది.
