Government employees in the Telangana region of Andhra Pradesh will go on indefinite strike from Sep 13 as part of "sakala janula samme" or mass strike planned by all sections of the society seeking separate Telangana statehood.
Telangana Employees Joint Action Committee (TEJAC) president Swamy Goud said that a strike notice will be served to the state chief secretary shortly. He said that all the 7.5 lakhs Telangana region employees will participate in the strike. First the employees will take up a 'Prachara Yatra' from 5 to 11 Septeember. From 13 september they will not be attending to their duties to bring the entire state administration to a grinding halt.
