TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu today commenced his padayatra as part of Rythu Poru Bata in Kadapa district after offering special prayers at the famous Chinnamandam mosque. Starting his padayatra, he said that in spite of the gravity of the situation the Congress Government was still dilly dallying over the drought relief measures and utterly failed in providing reliefs to the farmers. Mr. Naidu said TDP has launched the Rythu Poru Bata program since the Congress government was very indifferent and neglected farmers problems. Sri Naidu demanded that the Government should give compensation of Rs.10,000 per acre to farmers whose crops were damaged this kharif due to power cuts and rain deficits besides interest free loans, implementation of Prof Swaminathan committee recommendations on MSP and interest free crops loans to farmers.
The TDP president's padayatra commenced from Chinnamandam Pirlakanu vilalge of Rayachoti assembly segment Thursday and Sri Naidu interacted with the farmers and farm labor on the burning issues that hampered crops and their livelihood in the current Khariff season.
