Situation Tense at Polavaram Project Site

Tense situation is continuing at Polavaram Project site in Polavaram area since morning today (03-11-11), with intelligence reports coming in that Telangana MRPS activists are going to storm the project site.
According to sources, the MRPS held a meeting at Bhadrachalam on Wednesday and decided to protest against implementation of Polavaram project. They planned for seizure of the site area today. Heavy police bandobust has been deployed at the project site, which has been cardoned off from all sides. Vehicular traffic and boats coming towards Polavaram from East & West Godavari district has been blocked by the police as a precautionary measure. 144 section has been imposed around Polavaram and orders to arrest any insurging mobs have been passed. However, till 1.00 noon, no ontoward incidents have been reported.
