Rupee Symbol: Freely Downloadable Software Online

Like Dollar and Pound symbols, now Indian Rupee too has a newly created symbol. The problem with this new symbol is it is not available on the keyboard of a computer. The Indian government has announced that the new Rupee symbol has now been encoded into Unicode Standard and National Standard ISCII system and will also have a fixed location on the keyboard in due course.
For the time being a freely downloadable software has been developed that generates new Rupee symbol on the screen by typing the keys Alt Gr + 4. The URL for downloading this software is http://tdil-dc.in/, which is freely downloadable from Google. Microsoft also developed another freely developed software which is available at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2496898
