The Rajahmundry III-town police today, 8 December 2011, arrested former minister Jakkampudi Rammohan Rao's son Ganesh on charges of obstructing govt. official from discharging his duties. The police has been on the look out for Ganesh since one month. Video Source: snehatv.com
According to the CI of Rajahmundry III-town PS, on 10 November Ganesh along with some of his friends has forcefully taken away a confiscated car from the police station's premises. The car bearing Regn. No. AP 29BC 1269 was involved in an accident and was confiscated by the police. Ganesh, claiming to be his car, barged into the PS and forcefully taken it away by intimidating the Sentry on duty.
Accordingly, a case Cr.No. 404/11 under sections 353, 379 and 506 read with section 34 has been registered against him. The police was on the look out for Ganesh since then and on credible information that he is present in his house today, police arrested him. He will be produced in the court later. On hearing the news, a crowd of YSR Congress cadre has gathered at the PS creating tense situation in the locality.
