Digvijay Singh Stuns Both Anna Hazare And Congress

Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh has stunned his own party colleagues and the civil activists alike by favouring bringing of the Prime Minister and the higher judiciary under the ambit of Lokpal. He said "My view is that the Prime Minister, judiciary, NGOs and industrial houses should also be brought under the ambit of Lokpal. But there should be a system to ensure that the Lokpal does not misuse its power."
Speaking to reporters at his hometown Raghogarh in Madhya Pradesh late on Saturday evening, Digvijay Singh told that earlier as the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh he had brought the CM's post under the purview of Lokayukta (Ombudsman). Still continuing his attack on the civil activists, Mr. Singh said "exerting of pressure" on the government by a few people was not right in a democratic system.
