Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy today paid rich tributes to veteran freedom fighter, former Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister Babu Jagjivan Ram on the occasion of his 104th birth anniversary. In a message, the Chief Minister described Babu Jagjivan Ram as an able Parliamentarian who championed the cause of the poor and the downtrodden in the country until he breathed his last. His uninterrupted Parliamentary career, spanning over half-a-century, was a world record in the legislative history of the country. During his long-standing public life Babuji has left an indelible impression in the minds of the people,the Chief Minister said Jagjivan was also widely admired for his leadership qualities and organizational abilities. He always remained a force to reckon with in Indian politics, the Chief Minister added.
