Strange are the ways of AICC observer and union minister Vayalar Ravi. On Wednesday, the Congress high command deputed him to meet the Telangana MPs and pacify them to see that the budget session of Lok Sabha runs smoothly. So, first he went to the residence of Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao, where he also met the actress-turned-Medak MP Vijayashanti. One does not know whether he had really made an attempt to pacify KCR, but sources said he had evinced more interest in talking to Vijayashanti for a long time.
And when he came out and spoke to the waiting media, Vayalar said he had a good chat with Vijayashanti on her filmy career.
“She was a popular and glamorous heroine not only in Andhra Pradesh but also in Kerala. She was a well-known actress in Kerala film industry. Many of her films were big hits in Malayalam. I watched many of her movies. I spoke to her only on her Malayalam films,” he said, adding that he had met KCR and Vijayashanti only as a friend and hence, had not spoken any politics with them.
