No reconsideration on T decision: Digvijay Singh

Congress party state political affairs in-charge Digvijay Singh responding to the on going agitations in Seemandhra region has categorically stated that the decision to divide the state was taken after thorough study and wide consultations. So, there is no chance for reconsidering the decision. He said when a crucial decision was taken protests, agitations, and rallies are quite common. He said there is no surprise even if some leaders quit their posts opposing the decision. He appealed the Seemandhra leaders not to take any hasty decisions. He said the agitations and resignations won’t change the party decision. He said it is quite unfortunate to hear about vandalizing national leaders statues. He appealed the people of the region to refrain from such activities.
Briefing about the benefits of becoming separate Andhra Pradesh state, he said the new state can develop a wonderful capital like Gandhi Nagar or Chandigadh in the next few years. He said there is lot of scope for growth in the new state as it is blessed with surplus energy, gas reserves, very lengthy coastal corridor etc. He said, soon he will visit the state and will talk to the people. He said there is nothing to be afraid of the division, instead they should realize that there is lot of potential for growth in the new states.
