Minister Ganta and 5 MLS resigned

Minister Ganta Srinivasa rao has reassigned to his post protesting party decision on bifurcation. Mandali Buddha Prasad, MLAs Katasani, Sesha Reddy, Katasani, L.Venkata Swamy and Shajhan Badhsha are also resigned to their posts on the same reasons and sent their resignation letters to speaker by fax. According to latest information, all the remaining 14 ministers representing Seemandhra region are also planning resign to their posts on today evening.

The Samaikyandhra agitations and rallies gained momentum across the Seemandhra region. People and students agitating for Samaikyandhra have staged dharnas before Ministers Botsa Satyanarayana , Erasu Prathap Reddy, Galla Aruna Kumari, Ganta Srinivasa rao and others houses demanding for their resignations. In some places the protests took violent shape. Particularly, the effect is very high in Rayalaseema which is a strong hold for YSR Congress party. However, the situation is still under control. CM Kiran Kumar Reddy has asked the Police and paramilitary forces to refrain using force or firing rubber bullets at the agitating people.

AICC general secretary Tirunavakkaru has arrived at Hyderabad and another secretary Kuntia is also expected to reach Hyderabad by today evening. They were sent to negotiate with Congress ministers, who are fuming on the party high command.
